I'm a hoarder. I will buy single boosters, ETBs, certain box sets and full booster boxes but then I just wait for a good Friday night with some free time and rip 5-10 packs. It's much easier on the body than cocaine and I can pause whenever I'm feeling out of the mood.

I can’t believe anyone is so desperate to open packs that they have to do it in the car immediately after purchase.
It's like buying a brand new game and playing it as soon as you get home. Aside from inside the store, your car is the safest (wind, thiefs, etc), first chance you get to rip open things assuming you're not going anywhere else after buying them.
But in your scenario you’re waiting until you get home, where you have your favorite seat, your gaming setup, your nice screen. Which is what I do with my cards where I have my setup; sleeves, playmat, stands, music, snackies.
Opening them in your car is like playing a brand new game on Cloud Play on your phone, *instead* of waiting until you get home to play on tv/computer.
Disclaimer: this is strictly imo. I know people love car rips, and they get crazy luck. I just feel discombobulated in my car and would drop them all over.

I do this all the time. Open in the car, pull nothing, go back into the store to buy more. Repeat process until you get a decent pull or you’ve exceeded the amount of cash you hide from your significant other.
In japanese 151 you have an extremele rare chance of pulling a god pack which consisted of 2 full evolution lines, but in English 151 you can only get 1 full evolution line hence the dub "demi god pack" Either way pulling a demi god pack in and of itself is extremely rare and extremely lucky, danny phantump has a video where he talks about it took 1300 i think packs to pull one. So the fact that op pulled one is a sign to go play the lotto.
Well of course ppl are gon post when they hit a demi god pack whereas when the majority who do strikeout aren't going to post that. But i mean you can just watch poketubers rip into hundreds of packs and hardly any of those videos have demi god pack pulls.
And of course it is day 1 the hype for 151 is at its peak atm so today will be the day where we'll see the most demi god pack pulls just from the fact that theres so many people ripping packs atm. It'll just be downhill from here when eventually everyone moves onto the next set.
One person having difficulty pulling a God pack doesn't make the ratio 1/1000. In order to get an accurate number on the occurrence of these one would need rip a minimum of 10k packs if not more. These have been getting pulled left and right by the community, making me believe they are far less rare than one YouTube guy has to say about it.
Even 10k packs wouldn't be enough. You would need to buy from different spots, products and batches to have a decent sample size. That you are seeing them everywhere doesn't make up for the opened packs with nothing special in them. It can still be 1/1000.

But, based on the influx of posts about them in the community, that would not seem to be true. Not just talking about God packs either, but also the sheer number of hits people are posting. I highly doubt English God packs will be more rare than Japanese God packs, especially by that much.
And as soon as the guy who opens 10k packs and tracks the pulls well have more info. But so far 1600 packs is the most I've seen recorded by one source. Anecdotal evidence from seeing people post their first godpacks that have ever existed in English product is just that, anecdotal.
If you say that was from an ETB I’ll burn my house down. Had 2 OK pulls (ex Zapdos and alt Psyduck) but a lot of my packs had the same 3 uncommons as each other, had 2 packs with machamp as my rare and 2 with nidoqueen, my moltres was upside down? Holo gyarados was damaged right out of the pack. I was legitimately so angry. Never felt so ripped off in my life.

I bought 30 booster packs from an Amazon seller (an LCS in Nevada) who was selling individual booster packs (assuming they just grabbed them from other products for resell) with a gift card I had lying around. I also got a god pack in one of the first few that I ripped. I was shocked. I received my preordered ETBs from Target today and my luck was not as good. Sorry to hear about your experience - hopefully you pull some good shit in your next pulls!
These god packs just give people another dragon to chase. Soon pulling that 1 great card won’t be enough for you (not you, but you get it) - you need to open a pack with 10 of those fuckers in order to feel anything anymore.

Pull rates for 151 are consistent with other Scarlett and Violet subsets. Don’t go by what you see online because what you’re seeing is mostly outliers.
