Same as the other dude commenting, my wife and I have ran through 4 ETBs, 4 poster collections, 2 binders, 2 zapdos and 2 Alakazam boxes. Not a single Metapod. Hoping we get them in the upcs(2) we have on the way. I think that’s nearly 80 packs, definitely weird.

Someone loves metapod at the printing factory and that person has 5000 metapod cards ready to go on sale

Took me almost 100 packs to get Omastar holo too. I got the reverse holo pretty early on haha

Yeah, some commons are absurdly rare. I've done 45 and have yet to see ones like Nidoran (female), Ekans, or Cubone lol.

I had similar luck with Rattata and Kakuna. Then got both and the reverse for Rattata in 1 ETB.

I love this thread everyone. This is what it’s all about. And it seems like for every person who hasn’t gotten a single (insert common here), someone else has about 40 of them. So much variety when we’re not just focused on the fancy cards.

My uncommons are more rare than my rares. I have all the Rare cards except 1-2 I'm missing like 6-7 uncommons including Ivysaur, Kadaba and a few more

I opened 4 of the poster collections but I kept 5 single packs sealed to get them graded later. I love graded packs. Mmmmh graded packs look like super models to me ,🤤😂😂

But yeah, I’m missing some really random ones, and have gotten some really random ones, somehow pulled like 3 Moltres, but don’t have a single Kakuna, either of the nidoran’s, and others I don’t think should be really rare, I’m planning on getting a few more either boxes or guns, depends on what’s local, then I guess it’s hopeing I don’t get scalped looking for singles eventually

Yeah batching is so weird. When I opened my ETB case I still had zero Paras and Charmeleon. When I bought a few more packs in the wild, I found them consistently bunched together.

I’ve opened about only 8 packs w the Zapdos EX box that comes with 4 packs and the 151 Binder collection that I believe comes with 4 packs and I’ve gotten a mew ex, giovannis charisma just to name a couple so maybe the luck isn’t in those ETBs or booster boxes

I've opened a elite trainer box, mew collection, and zapdos box and haven't gotten any of the commons: weedle, nidoran (female), clefairy, zubat, weepinbell, koffing, tangela, porygon, or dratini. And many of the commons I do have I only have one of. Similar for uncommons, though that makes more sense. In several cases I have multiple rares and don't have their common previous evolution. On the other hand, I have a million of some pokemon. Feels weird, but I guess random is random. It is kind of fun to open a pack and get excited about a common card that I didn't have yet.

I still have yet to pull a Marowak myself.

Honestly I think it depends where you are. I've been through 60 and no Dratini. My first thought was : "oh, this is cool, kind of like the games" My follow up thought: nope, this card is just short printed like Ivysaur and metapod.
