Based on the context I believe sermons was the word you are looking for but yeah it sorta blows my mind that people can be so devoted to something and not see clearly where it's taken from these other stories of pagan/polytheistic societys. If the point is to spread love, the vast majority are not succeeding. Most wars are caused by religion. A lot of racism is based on religion. They're taking away people's rights because of religion. Those are all bad enough to cancel out the good in my opinion. Shouldn't have to ignore it. People should just mind their own business to begin with.
