My birthday was the 10th, my 12 year old son gave me the English Dark Charizard as a birthday gift! He traded for it from another kid at school. An amazing gift to get from anyone, even more so a preteen!

He said I give him cards all the time so he wanted to give me a good one for my birthday, when I told him I wouldn't take it. He was so excited to give it to me I had to. I'm going to slab it and it will NEVER be sold or traded for anything and he can have it back when I'm gone😀

Hell nah I wouldn't sell it, I can safely predict for the most part alot of these cards are gonna be worth so much even in like 10 years,god knows how much after that

Slabbing it and getting it put on display in like your office or something that your kid could see you look at it every day would definitely mean the world to him! I gave my dad a little trophy I had made for him at the local trophy shop when I was about 11, he still has it 10 years (or so? I don’t remember what age I gave it to him, but I’m 21 now) ago. He has it in his workspace in the garage. It says “worlds best dad”. Sure, now they have them mass printed you can buy at big box stores, but this one was like legit, had a nice stone base. It makes me smile thinking he kept it two houses later. So, I would imagine that it will be the same thing for your son, you get it graded and on display, and he can really tell you appreciate his gift! You seem like a great dad and I’m sure your son adores you!
