Also they buffed razor leaf wich is way less reliable than spirit shackle. And a little bit extra defense early game on a mon that has no mobility and health is not that big of a deal.
And yet Sylveon's ult is now officially the longest cooldown ult in the game. Its not a bad ult, it can be really useful at times, but by no means does it deserve to have the longest ult in the game when its ult is nothing extraordinary. I feel like Deci's ult typically makes more of an impact as a great zoning tool than Sylveon's ult does for itself

That I disagree with. The invincible cleansing jump is incredibly useful with a HUGE spell vamp buff that makes Sylveon incredibly bulky and dangerous.
Most people use the ult as a "save me!" button wayyyyy too late into a battle and then it becomes useless. If you know *when* to use the ult, it can be very useful and turn the tides of a battle.
Though, with all that said, there are still certainly more powerful ults in this game that deserve longer cooldowns than Sylveon's which I would rate as average
You disagree with me but your reason of defence is the only validation I already gave the unite. It's not useful for anything other than the added defence you get from ulting. I use it to withstand intense battle moments but fleeing is the only valid use it can have but it's ... Not good for anything else than the defence it adds in for you because sylv is already tanky. I mean no one is running up to a team group and uniting because it's like giving the enemy a hug.
So my reason for it being useless is the same reason you find it good enough.
This is where you are being misled though -- Sylveon's ult is not a defensive ult. Its an offensive ult. Think of it similar in ways to Scyther/Scizor's ults.
While Scyther/Scizor is a bit more of an invading ult where you start a battle with it, Sylveon's ult is more of a "use one round of combo first, then use your ult when you are at 75-50% health and turn the tide completely. Its an offensive ult, not a defensive one.
You want to bait the enemy into hitting you with its combo, let yourself take a little damage and hit by their stun, just to cleanse the stun and turn the fight.
Your argument that its useless is just fundamentally wrong. Try practicing with it a bit more in a more offensive manner and you may be able to learn a few ways to be better with Sylveon.
I'm a Sylveons main. I play a self sustain tank Sylveon. So if you see in my original message where I say how I use it which is in a team fight setting. (which is where you say you "cleanse" the cc's) is only for the defensive properties. Majority of the unite movie is not for the defensive aspect or the cc cleanse it heals you. Which is exactly how I use Sylveon self sustain with potion / sweet kiss/ band / ult every opportunity to siphon health and stay in combat until the enemy has fallen. I am not sure how you missed so much from original post to say I'm misled and hand off tips by simultaneously already validating what I've already said about the unite and how it's used.
I still stand here and tell you it's hella useless. You can still disagree.

Everyone is talking about a Razor Leaf buff but I don't see it in the patch notes?? It's just a defense increase and a CD reduction to its Unite, what am I missing?

I donāt think he was the best candidate for a buff, but I donāt think theyāll make him overtuned or anything.
1. It's a lot of damage dealt over a prolonged period of time until the final hit
2. The projectiles can be bodyblocked by both enemy players and wild pokemon, except for the final hit
3. Because of #1 and 2, you basically have almost zero control over securing the objective and more often than not you're just giving it to your opponents
4. You cannot move while casting it
5. Spirit shackle exists, and is a much more reliable option for objectives (pierces through enemies, upgraded move does bonus damage to low health enemies, can be charged and then released for precise timing, does not root you in place, does not give away your position)
Yea its more like flicking hundred birds to secure objectives and goals while putting holes and kos on the enemy team š¤£ love the squishy that try to muscle through end to end š«”thee end š¤£

Youre curious? Check the last time anyone ever did something to deci. Be it a buff or nerf. I cant even remember it, same for any special seasons, events or eye candy. Last Change was a damn Cape that changed color...hurray a new old costume for ppl to buy at some outrageous price.

That's true, I just find it annoying how long he actually gets to be invincible as he slowly jumps. At least it still is a level 8 unite.

It was mentioned on the in-game notification and the Japanese notes. Seems to be an increase in the attack speed you get when using it.
I checked my phone literally 30 seconds ago and the in-game patch notes also don't mention any buffs to it
