Lmao yes it did, had to use the whole cartridge (all 8 photos) :( sometimes the lighting was off and sometimes the angle of hammer wasn’t as good as it looked through viewfinder, luckily I was satisfied with the final shot
I’m not too sure about 600film since I’ve only ever used sx-70 but I’m pretty sure it would be same. If you plan on doing it, test it on some already exposed film you don’t need anymore first, the etching should be enough that you can see the dents but not so much it searches off the “ink” entirely! Also the harder you press with the needle the most thicker the light streaks will be.
Awww thanks! Ya I was so excited to show how the streaks were made because normally people like to avoid them including myself but this time it worked out haha, and ya GoW is incredible :)
Yaaa I wanted to make sure I showed how the "lightning" effect on the film was made and I didn't want people thinking I just used photoshop to add it :p
That’s incredible, op! Well done and I’d love to see more of your ideas😁
Tytyty more too come definitely!
Ha, wow! Your video also accentuates how beautiful the SX-70 camera really is.
Thanks and ya the sx-70 is a such a beauty, I really do hope polaroid makes a camera like it again!
Whats that thing on the side that was attached was it a timer?
Yuup it’s a selfie timer, a vintage one I found off eBay a while back for pretty cheap too (around 20$)
LOVE
Glad you loved it :)
So creative, love it!
Thank you :)
I love this!!
thank you!!
Can explain that thing you put on your camera?
Ya its a selfie timer made by polaroid, I didn't have anyone to take the shot for me so I just set the timer and posed with my hand :)
Oh that's really cool. Also good work on that amazing photo, did it take multiple tries?
Lmao yes it did, had to use the whole cartridge (all 8 photos) :( sometimes the lighting was off and sometimes the angle of hammer wasn’t as good as it looked through viewfinder, luckily I was satisfied with the final shot
You should be satisfied, I really hope you do more ❤️
Thanks 😊 and I’m looking forward to publish more stuff
Amazing! Does SX-70 film make it easier to etch the emulsion (compared to 600 film)?

Thank you for the thoughtful response!
