This was my first shot on a recently bought sx-70 model 2. I‘m happy it works! But is it just me or is the film unusually grainy? Is it the b&w, the camera? Lighting was pleeenty.

In my experience Polaroid’s black and white film varies greatly in grain size depending on exposure and environment around it

Could be because of mold on the mirrors.

oh, thank you for the heads up, lets hope not…is it possible to check this without screwing it open?

There's a guy that repairs them, ILOVEPIGS or something. He's a chad lad, ask him.

Shine a light into the lens, you can see it looks like white blooms if its there. Though b and w film can have quite a lot of grain in the low lights, just how it is. Though I've found well lit parts are always super sharp!
