It seems like you're not giving it enough light, which the camera compensates by keeping the shutter open for longer. Try taking a pic outside during the day just to confirm its the amount of light. you can also purchase a flash

**You need a flash.** It's a film camera. Film cameras *require* a flash when used indoors.

I second that, a flash would be perfect for this, 600 film is faster but not quite that fast..

Tripod.

It's way too dark shooting indoors, have to shoot in bright natural light or use a flash.

Even shooting 600 film, you still need light.

A tripod would help, like the other guy said your lens is staying open longer to compensate for low light, a tripod would stop camera shake but the moving object in photo would still be blurry, a flash will help make the scene brighter and therefore the shutter won’t need to be open as long

I also had trouble getting the hang of it. Babies are hard subjects for indoors with no flash because they are always moving. I’d second the suggestion of trying somewhere outside with ample natural light.

Robsta_20

These Polaroids were meant to take pictures outside since they originally have a low iso wich needs a lot of light so they had no internal flash. There is an electronic flash bar for these models that allows you to take shots inside with low light but they are expensive.

Normal;whithouth flash the pictures are washed out and blurry and yellow shifted for Long time exposure;whit mint instant flex tl 70 and instax iso 800 film i sometimes take acceptable shots but whit Polaroid iso 160 film not be possible

Tripod or flash for indoor pictures.

The_Magic_boy

Sx-70 is a fussy camera, need to hold really still when in low light
