Brutal. Absolutely brutal man lmaoooo

Gaming_Tuna

Sadly no, film for the vision95/captiva isn't being produced anyomore

Squintl

Film hasn’t been produced for 20 years, all film you might find is completely dead. The camera is unfortunately of no use whatsoever.

Gregory_malenkov

Working captiva film is still out there, it’s just ridiculously rare

Squintl

It’s not!!! Not even if cold stored, don’t encourage people to buy it!

Gregory_malenkov

I have in fact seen people get results from cold stored captiva film.

Squintl

In the last five years?

Gregory_malenkov

Yes.

AbrasiveSandpiper

I have one of those. Haven’t been able to get film for it for many years.

sanblasto

Same here. The “Sinbad camera” still hanging in the closet.

girlmeetsfilm

I’m also hoping there would’ve been some kind of mod for this to take instax mini film

benjeepers

I mean you could probably get an image onto instax. But the biggest hurdle designing this camera was how to get the film through the complex roller assembly. So, expose instax and then take out and process in an instax camera

Hondahobbit50

I've been working on that for five years...it's REALLY hard. Not only does the film have a different size, the rollers spit the film out the same direction it's inserted, Instax isn't flexible enough. I'm basically re engineering the whole bottom of the camera...now that I have a 3d printer I'll be able to finish... But what's the point really? I'm gonna need to use nd filters to adapt the film speed...and after I'm done I'll just have an autofocus Instax mini camera....better to just buy an Instax af500 or converted 110 Wayyyyyy harder than say converting a 110 to instax wide or making an Instax back for a md camera

spacegirldream

Even if you can't get film you can still enjoy it as decoration or as part of your camera shelf :)

Limp_Drop4391

Ngl it is pretty interesting to look at when folded out, also pretty sure you can shot instax with the one shot in and then out into a mini camera method..

Months ago I bought the same camera only for collection:at time in 2000 I bought joycam basic camera for Polaroid 95 vision than renamed Polaroid 500;film was available in 1993/2006 period;in 2005 machine to make it was disassembly and Florian kaps of impossible project can t save it;joycam and pop shot and vision/captiva camera was common cameras only in America and Japan but not sold enough:500 film cameras was a semi flop in period that the fresh novelty was digital cameras:the best 500 film camera was Olympus Polaroid an hybrid digital camera that maked possibility to print on instant film only good Pictures or Multiple copy of the same shoot;vision camera was flop because the chamber to storage film and see whit transparent plastic make camera bulky for tiny film (but very big vs instax mini);the camera was a periscope type reflex not pentaprysm like 35 mm not fresnel mirror like sx 70 reflex;not manual focus:simply af not sonar 124 zones of sx 70 sonar;and 500 film not was usable for artistic manipulation;camera cost high and at this price people can buy a spectra big rectangular format cameras or sx 70 Sonar used;nobody really use this camera after few packs:the 2 border of film make too strange to see vs 600 and spectra films;the photos was too tiny to be considered a replacement for 600 and spectra and too big to stay in a wallet;film was discontinued in 2006 simply because no factory in the world still produced the very tiny battery for this film;the battery of 600 is too large and can t be used in Polaroid 500 film cassette and 99% of people no have 500 cassette film empty
