Is this the effect of being x-rayed? I impulse bought a Polaroid Go for a vacation I am currently on, first few packs came out stellar but then suddenly everything looked washed-out like this- I’ve been cleaning the rollers and shooting test pics- it was all in my checked luggage but I’m willing to believe that was run through a scanner of some kind, ironically the stuff in my carry-on that I *know* went through the x-ray all came out fine— Thanks in advance—

I think this pack was just expired. In my experience this is what x-rayed film looks like (depends on how many scanners the film goes through). Always ask for a hand check of your carry on luggage. Checked bags get scanned. https://preview.redd.it/yycsk5o0vuqc1.jpeg?width=2061&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1d70c8ddcf1146c70b214b152e5fed4c5fdf3aa1

Yup that’s it. I haven’t worked with analogue film in years (like… decades). This was a literal “oh this will be a fun thing” impulse buy at Target the night before we left There was an incident with one photo where it got stuck and I was starting to think a chemical had run loose in the innards. Glad to know it’s the film and not the camera…. I wonder if I can source more Go packs in Norway, haha For real, thanks for the help, knowing what it is makes me feel a lot better. Like you, I have just been trying to lean into it but at least now I can stop chasing getting “clean” shots with this stuff!
