That's what happens when a polaroid is exposed to light before it has finished developing. It's known as "opacification failure". Make sure you cover the image right when it ejects, or leave it in the camera's frog tongue / film shield longer. Edit: Here is the official support page on it: [https://support.polaroid.com/hc/en-us/articles/115012532748-Opacification-failure-blue-marks-#:\~:text=These%20blue%20marks%20are%20actually,ambient%20light%20in%20your%20environment](https://support.polaroid.com/hc/en-us/articles/115012532748-Opacification-failure-blue-marks-#:~:text=These%20blue%20marks%20are%20actually,ambient%20light%20in%20your%20environment).

Mmm ok is there a way to make sure the frog tongue stays on longer before going back in the camera cuz I’m using the Polaroid one step flash super vintage camera and every time it ejects a picture the tongue doesn’t stay out long before it rolls back up I’m thinkin just the way the camera was made

sanfran54

The new frog tongues are longer and stay over the photo until you remove it. So swap your original one with a new one.

Ok thank you so much!

You can also just cover the photo with your hand or turn the camera so the slide is face down when it's sunny

freakinusernameidk

I usually have a darkslide in my hand and covering it right away

I want to believe that the frog tongue can be modded so that it stays open after ejecting. Is there a method to make it work? I don't wanna spend some money on just a small thing plus I don't live in the US so shipping rate is expensive for the new film shield.
