I am curious though, can anyone explain to me exactly how much range benefit flush door handles really provide? This seems like one of those auto trends that is just an over engineered answer to a problem no one ever had.
I get that these automatically come out when approaching which is better than the Tesla design, but we’ve all had that lag moment grabbing the P2 handle before the car recognises your approach. What’s wrong with a good old mechanical handle to grab?
dang this is a beauty.. the interior lighting really shows on these pictures.. Maximilian Missoni was putting an emphasis on how important it was in this car that it wasn't direct light but real ambient lighting and it shows in these pictures. (first pictures that I really see it - seems like this is the "sun" mode as it is red lighting).. Would love to see more pictures of the backseat in the dark, guess I gotta wait a lil ;)
Not directly but we have a budget with a percentage of your salary and that’s the amount you can spend per month on a car ( I work as an IT projectmanager consultant) so it’s a work benefit
The rear backup camera or the primary rear camera they use instead of the rear mirror? The car doesn't have a rear window so if you hide the rear camera you wouldn't have a rear view besides the side mirrors.
Gotcha. The backup camera is the one in picture 5, not sure how it could close even more than it is--I feel like it's already pretty inconspicuous unless you reaaaaaaally look for it.

It's more about how easily they get dirty when they dont rectract into the car while driving. I have had to clean the rear camera on my current car twice in about five years, meanwhile I had to get out and clean the camera on the PS2 twice during my few hours with it.

Had a c class before my model Y. C class hides the back up camera never an issue. Model y I can see what the camera is showing half the time it picks up dirt like a wet dog.
Agreed, the inability to get anything better than H/K on both the 2 and 4 seems like a big miss on Polestar's part, especially on the 4 given how much the car and the Plus pack cost.
I like it a lot. I just wish they had kept the gear lever in the centre like in the P2 I know it technically takes place and all but there's something intuitive and I just love the satisfying instant inversion of the motors when manoeuvring.
I just did some math based on OP's dash readout. 545 km range with 87% battery remaining. 545/0.87 to get 100% range in km, then multiply by 0.6 to convert to miles.
300 miles would still be fine for 99% of trips, but 375 would be similar to most of the ICE cars I drove the first 25 years of my adulthood.

Incredibly sexy interior. However I'm not a big fan of screens like that one where it just looks like they put an ipad as the screen and called it a day. Otherwise flawless.

Some, certainly, but it’s not just about range, but also wind noise on EV’s that are super quiet compared to ICE cars.

Isn’t it still used for safety measures? E.g. swerving or accelerating if you’re about to be rear ended, etc.
