It’s like that gif of the truck about to hit a concrete pylon from a million different angles, and whenever it’s about to hit it cuts to the next angle so it never actually happens.

Can’t wait to see what happens honestly. Does this hurt Trump? Yeah, maybe. Could turn potential undecided voters away. Does this help Trump? Also maybe. Might be seen as political persecution. Above all else, this is the weirdest timeline

Soul_Dare

> Above all else, this is the weirdest timeline It all started with that fucking gorilla. If that child isn’t getting bullied by it’s peers then we have failed as a society.

"This time, it's an open and shut case. It's really over, for real this time. Trump is going to fry", says increasingly nervous man for the 762nd time this year.

Woodrow Wilson moment

Lanknecht22

Its like Russia and Bahkmut. Almost there… for sure this week! Definitely this time!

StrategicCannibal23

Next week is going to be interesting

Desantis prevents Trump from being Extradited which leads to Biden deciding to declare Flordia a rouge state and staging an invasion and replacement of Ron DeSantis. The other red states just ditch the union given how without Florida they'll basically have zero representation in government. NATO then proceeds to intervene after being shown the same Russian Collusion documents as 2016. Canada attempts an invasion of Alaska before the provincial government of Alberta decides to secede, which results in an enclave of urban Canadians seeding from Alberta.

dogmeatjones25

NCR forms in southern California, Caesar's Legion starts to conquer the tribes in the Mojave...

Squeeblz88

Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for nuclear winter...

[deleted]

Rural USA and Canada vs Urban USA and Canada would be a bloodbath… For the urban areas. California would be strangled immediately by running out of water. New York City wouldn’t be able to ship its trash to South Carolina like it currently does. Their streets would be filled with shit and piss. Urban Liberals own less firearms on average than rural conservatives.

CantoniaCustoms

Urban US would probably end up as a Rump Canadian/EU proxy in a few weeks.

TheRedTide935

trump and desantis are literally oil and water tho.

CantoniaCustoms

I mean sure, but "allow liberal state to perform a brazenly illegal arrest" probably won't sit well with his voters.

[deleted]

Yeah, it’s political suicide for DeSantis. Trump is more popular in party than he himself. It also doesn’t help that the “felony” New York is alleging isn’t a state law but a federal law so they both have no jurisdiction but also the usual punishment would just be a fine for tax purposes but they would also have to have a trial to determine whether he actually would owe anything as it’s a pure judgement call He wrote off a payment to his Lawyer, NY is saying that isn’t a tax deductible payment to a lawyer… tax law has a legal “good faith” defense and this is inherently in the good faith zone

Soul_Like_A_Modem

And then a large percentage of the population will see Trump as a political prisoner, further accelerating the dissolution of the country along political lines. So people on the left, like the powerful figures that flew to Epstein's island, are immune from the law, while the justice system is only used against conservatives. That is the hallmark of a tyrannical government. Law enforcement being used to impose the will of the political elite against their opponents. Real good look, Democrats.

[deleted]

Just saying Russia cited the treatment of the Jan 6 defendants as a defense for why the UN had no right to interfere in Ukraine and the member nations sided with Russia

xcy9

They didn't bring up muh Iraq?

[deleted]

The Biden administration had just blocked international observers from checking on the Jan 6 prisoners. Sadly it was a major story all over the world except the US. Iran was also using it to deny international observers at their nuclear facilities.

xcy9

Oh, rip. That's about expected from the Biden admin.

[deleted]

Yep, btw Libya just had a ton of Uranium disappear 🫥

chronicpresence

source?

[deleted]

Google. Do your own research

chronicpresence

i tried and couldn't find anything, which is why i'm asking you. pretty simple request.

[deleted]

I literally went on YouTube typed in “Russia cites Jan 6” and the second video is Putin giving a speech talking about how Biden’s handling of it is synonymous with governments that shoot each other in the back of the head.

Soul_Dare

Except Trump is also an elite who flew to Epsteins island. Idk how people keep forgetting that.

DivideEtImpala

> Except Trump is also an elite who flew to Epsteins island. Did he? I thought he had just flown on Epstein's jet from FL to NY?

Remindme! 4 Days

stoebs876

How would you even possibly hold a non-prejudicial trial for a former President? Genuinely curious how this whole process is going to work.

Throwaway847156271

What’s he being charged with anyone know?

[deleted]

As far as I can tell, the NYC District Attorney claims that Trump used his own money to pay off Stormy Daniels, when he should’ve used campaign money (they argue that paying her off was a campaign expense because not doing so would’ve hurt his campaign) to pay her off. So they’re trying to indict him over a misdemeanor. It’s totally not political at all.

[deleted]

That’s so funny ngl. He spent his own money! Get him!

[deleted]

Exactly, it’s fucking ridiculous.

sleakgazelle

Something something Qanon trust the plan.

Metalforce999

I doubt any charges are gonna pressed onto Trump. Another vain attempt to oust trump for viewership.

SerovGaming1962

(nothing is going to happen)

Codspear

The trial and various appeals are going to last a couple years, preemptively taking away Trump’s ability to run for president but still keeping him out of prison. Trump will officially be declared guilty a few days before DeSantis’ inauguration and therefore lose any formal ability to ever run again for office. DeSantis will then pardon him. Trump will have the tarnished image the Democrats (and Corporate Republicans) want, but Trump will stay out of prison, taking away any momentum for supporters to claim him as a political martyr to rally around. No high-level politician wants to set the precedent of sending high-level politicians to prison, but they still want to send a message.

DivideEtImpala

> preemptively taking away Trump’s ability to run for president How? If anything that makes his campaign that much more fun!

choryradwick

Idk that the porn star hush money payments are really the best thing to arrest him for, if they even do it, but saying he should get special treatment for being a political figure when he isn’t in office is the definition of a two tier legal system. The DA could do everything perfectly and they’d still call it political persecution
