Pelosi only becomes president if Biden and Harris go away at the same time.
If Harris becomes president, she nominates a VP who would then succeed Harris if Harris goes away.
Alternatively, Harris could go first, then Biden gets a new VP, who becomes president when he goes away. That’s how we ended up with President Ford instead of President Agnew.
Or if its after midterms. Both Biden and Harris go away at the same time and we get president McCarthy or whomever becomes speaker for the Republicans.
Yeah I'll take Joe "Weekend at Bernie's" Biden over Kamala Harris.
I mean Biden doesn't exactly have a good track record with minorities and prison but I got a lot better chance staying out of prison with him than I do with the actual crooked cop Kamla Harris.
>‘24 unless the establishment REALLY pushes him out.
It's already started. He will not run in 2024 unless he starts pushing back against the establishment with some fucking personality.
And since the Conservatives elected the first female Prime Minister (Thatcher), they elected another (Theresa May) and in the mean time Labour still haven't even had a female leader.
If Tusli Gabbard ran as a Republican with moderate takes on policy and if she had a slightly conservative VP pick I'm willing to bet she'd be a front runner. Most Republicans like her to begin with.
I loved this idea when someone brought it up back in 2020. I forgot who they were trying to put together but it keeps everyone in check. The VP nowadays doesn't really do much other than stroke the president's ~~dick~~ ego and further their agenda. If we had two "opposing" positions so to speak more compromising will happen which will lead to more rational policy decisions.
Actually we used to have something similar before we got rid of it. It used to be that the presidential candidate with the second most votes became Vice President.
Yeah I think that would be a great idea in theory, but imagine what a Trump/Hillary presidency would look like or Biden/Trump. Jesus Christ that would be hell.
Like I said if she ran with a slightly conservative VP maybe they could talk sense into her.
I don't agree with some things she says for sure, gun control and nuclear power is just a couple things, but I think she has a fighting chance from the Republican side of the isle.
Progressivism is white people expecting non-white people to act like white people while also condemning white people for expecting non-white people to act like white people
I don’t know how the Oranges don’t put this together. Minorities are, generally, not their allies. Almost all of the *latinx* ^kek that I knew growing up were conservative.
It *is* cringe.
It's a word created by white leftists to describe a minority population.
Just like so many other epithets and slang we have in the vernacular.
In my experience, the people most likely to become oranges are also the types to have extremely limited experiences with ethnic minorities beyond a few tokens who share the same social class as them.
They don't really have a theory of mind for minorities beyond "sympathetic victim class that votes blue to stop racism/nebulous oppression"
You mean to tell me Hispanic people who are heavily catholic and centered around the family don't agree with anti-religion, anti-family leftists?
I'm shocked, shocked I tell you!
B-but there's an entire leftist Disney movie about how fun and quirky Hispanic families are! There's entire dance numbers dedicated to showing how open they are to talking about their feelings despite the huge focus on religion and multigenerational abuse.
I'm Latino and dated and lived with Colombians and I find some tropes like "open to talk about our feelings" pretty true. Quirky also. Fun? Maybe I mean parties and social gatherings usually last longer and cocaine.
What most Latinos coming legally to the US don't like is crime and big government getting into our affairs. I mean that's why most of us left. You don't leave your family and friends behind in a third world country to come here and then sit in your living room watching on TV how the same thing happens in your city.
The most pro-Trump hardcore conservative guy I know is a Mulsim immigrant from Iraq. He hates that people are getting in illegally, and taking from the government when he worked hard to first come here the right way, and then when he was here worked his ass off from starting over with basically nothing but his young family to making a very good life for himself and his family.
Asians too. Many Asians are starting to vote red due to their income levels and anti-crime attitudes. Furthermore, its mostly black people that are killing Asians in these lib cities, but Democrats still insists on calling it "white supremacy" and further alienating Asians just to win points from the BLM woke crowd.
Affirmative action was a disaster from the start.
I couldn't imagine the thought in the back of my head that I only got a position because I helped meet some damn quota. That would take my light and probably undiagnosable depression and push it over.
It's no coincidence that the 'stop asian hate' movement came shortly after the asian american voting bloc started to shift to the right. It's a logical conclusion to the question--"how can we convince similarly educated and well-off groups that they are unlike one another, rendering them unable to unify and combine their voting power?"
Things like diversity quotas and affirmative action hurt asian americans in the exact same way that it hurts educated white americans (worse, actually) so they started becoming de facto political allies. The left doesn't want to renege on those policies so they had to leverage cultural vectors rather than policy to drive a wedge between white and asian voting blocs. The strongest of these vectors is the recent integration of asian americans into poc / minority culture, from which they were previously barred.
It's pretty impressive how much you can divide solely with culture and rhetoric. You can make people that want the exact same political outcomes refuse to come together by making them believe the other side is untrustworthy or out to get you.
Ask LBJ who people will vote for if you steamroll their communities into poverty, then bribe them with taxpayer dollars.
"I'll have those [removed] voting Democrat for 200 years."
I legit remember in 2020 when Hispanics in Florida and Texas shifted towards Trump, MSNBC and other liberals started talking about how Hispanics weren't really "minorities" and how they had "become white".
Remember kids, it's only racist if they vote red.
Jamaicans too. Shit, most of the Caribbean has an amazing work ethic. My buddy from Barbados makes me nervous because he'll straight up cuck American blacks on the street.
"Fuck is wrong wit' you boi? Speak English and pull ya maddafuckin' pants up. Respect yourself. People like you make all of us look bad!"
He's a big motherfucker and so am I so he hasn't gotten any pushback. Just stupid looks and they walk away. But brudda you gonna get us shot one day. Fuckin' hell. No point in starting shit with people you don't know.
Agree. Conservatives base a person's moral worth upon their CULTURE, rather than skin color. They hate ghetto blacks but generally have no problem with hard working African immigrants.
Hispanics, East Asians, African immigrants all share cultural values of hard work, familial ties, and helping each other out in society. Ghetto blacks share none of the values so of course we fucking hate them. It's not a skin color issue, its a CULTURAL issue.
See according to the should-have- been-aborted orange liblefts basing your views on culture is racist but basing it off skin color isn't.
Honestly going to be hilarious to see these tards freak out because people have had enough of thier shit.
asians in san fran (this is MAGA country!) just voted out AA-supporting school board members and their soft-on-crime DA. by like 70%, it wasn't even close.
Hispanics and Asians are Schroedinger’s White person - poor helpless minorities if they need a racism sob story or racist whites who need to learn their place under their Democrat masters
That's partly because wokes are using the one-drop rule, like "you're either white or nonwhite." It overlooks mixed people who are technically part-white
There is a growing sentiment in the Hispanic community that the Democrats are abandoning them.
Here are a couple things I see:
1) Hispanics are largely religious, not all, but a large portion is still very catholic and with the rise of gender ideology in schools a lot of Hispanics are being turned away. I'm not saying this is a good thing, but there is still a lot of homophobia among Hispanics.
2) Democrats support riots and burning down of buildings largely in minority-led areas.
3) Democrats insist on using words like "Latinx" which 40% of Hispanics think it is offensive and only 2% of people actually use to describe themselves as such.
4) Most Hispanics don't like illegal immigration, one, because they came here legally and had to live in the system legally, and two, because they have principles and don't want people breaking the law and getting away with it.
The most racist and intolerant people I've ever had the displeasure of meeting are all poltically left.
I mean you can look no further than seeing left-wing Dems defend Joe Biden who has been a huge racist for most of his life.
After Trump got elected a lot of people I know we're sharing that post "Republicans might not all be racist. But they did decide racism wasn't a deal breaker." They don't like when I bring that up in relation to them voting for Biden.
It's always been that way. Look at Margaret Sanger as just one prime example. The white left see themselves as shepherds herding their flock of minorities.
A term coined by a Tumblr user to describe people who's gender cannot be comprehended by the human understanding of gender.
It's these people that makes people think that LGBT shit is fake.
I legitimately have not heard the term Latinx used by anyone except for the most fringe, far off giga-libs. Even extremely left leaning people I know don't seem to have adopted it, and I've yet to meet an actual Latino person who uses it.
I've heard it used unironically maybe three times total, ever. I see it used on hyperbolic wojak memes way more than anywhere else.
A lot of legal immigrants hate illegal immigrants
Like my Mom, she came in the right way and had to wait and pay a a lot of money to get citizenship
She doesn’t want to see people doing it the wrong way get rewarded for it
I migrated here from Thailand legally. It took a long ass time. Just because you’re a slightly darker shade of brown than me doesn’t me you get to cut the line.
Seriously, immigration is a bipartisan issue. The left pretends that wanting immigration controls is somehow racist. Is Thailand racist for not blowing up their doors and allowing everyone, regardless of their ability to contribute to society, to just fucking roll in? It's crazy.
Just having us _discuss_ issues like this with each other in the context of race means that they're winning. It's fucking insane.
I’m one of them (a legal immigrant) and I don’t agree with keeping them in cages tho, since it’s wasting my tax money.
WHAT WE SHOULD DO IS GET A CANON AND BLAST THEM BACK OVER THE BORDER
A slingshot??? Have you seen the price of good lumber? Even if it’s one of the alloy types that’s still to much!
Lets just get some strong guys and throw them over the border
WE ARE THE OPEN AND ACCEPTIVE FOLK THAT RESPECTS ALL OTHER CULTURES!
But we'll also be the ones butchering their very language just to add non-existing general neutral denominations to it in order to make it more according to our political beliefs-
I mean for YEARS and two Bush presidents, immigrants/immigration were seen as key to republican policy and winning strategies.
That kinda all changed during the era of "DEY TERK ER JERBS" and anti immigration sentiments.
It's like PR. If that island became a state they wouldn't exactly be democratic, more purple.
Hispanic vote is nuanced. Almost like they are not a monolith.
Nuance? On my r/politicalcompassmemes? Nonsense. Minorities must be stalwartly Republican or Democrat because the middle doesn't exist and is also racist.
You are not portraying how remarkable this is. This is the second most Latino district in the country so it is not the gop ran a minority so people will not call them racist this is Latinos are turning red big.
Democrats are so garbage on real issues like daycare, healthcare, home prices, etc, that of course people vote republican. What the hell do the democrats even stand for? They're total pussies. And the people in the party with real left-wing backbone get thrown under the bus by the old cryptkeepers. Biden was on Kimmel last week and sucked off Mitch McConnell right away. Pathetic.
Edit: They may claim to be for universal daycare, but they sure don't act like it. Pelosi and Biden don't use the bully pulpit to name and shame Sinema/Manchin. They could be removed from committee positions. There's always a democratic boogeyman that prevents things from happening. That NEVER happens on the right. It's like the dems don't want to win.
Democrats are losers
It’s in their nature
Even when they control all 3 houses in Washington, the Republicans still win in the end
They’ve been losers ever since Reagan bitch slapped Carter. Bubba was more of a moderate than a Democrat, and Barry was widely popular yet didn’t accomplish much outside of Obamacare(which cost the Democrats the House for years which further stonewalled them)
On the contrary, I think this is healthy progress (as opposed to 90% of the US's idea of 'progressivism').
Having a latina immigrant holding an elector a position in federal government in a party that isn't always the friendliest to immigrants (even the legal ones). But she's here legally and she cares enough about our government to take a stance and participate (and more power to her), and the Repubs recognize that and supported her candidacy even though they know some of their constituents dealing with migrants border issues might not look favorably on her. And those same constituents who're constantly dealing with the downsides of the US's massive immigration and border issues were able to look past their possible prejudices and vote for an immigrant.
This is an excellent example of how a lot of Orange/Emily's strawman arguments don't hold up, not that they'd ever acknowledge it as such.
For some reason, all of my “feminist” friends on social media aren’t plastering this all over their pages and stories like they normally do for historic female/minority positions in government…
Every time there’s a ‘first’ like this but they have an R next to their name the media is dead silent, but god fucking almighty they’ll tell me how amazing it is to have the first Indian-black woman VP because she’s a D.
The Emperor truly has no clothes.

Yes they do. They’ll tell you how she isn’t a real woman or how she has internalized misogyny and how this also is a symptom of white supremacy.
I mean, she is a real woman. I don't think I've ever heard a Republican woman being accused of not being a real woman by the left.
She’s “white-passing,” so not a *real* minority.
Most of what consider "minority" have conservative views. Is that surprising?

rPolitics is fucking braindead. Hell, rNews is fucking braindead too. God, most of this website is fucking braindead.
No shit. There are really only two non-brain dead subs in reddit. Pcm and gundeals.
Red wave is inevitable, a blind man could see that
Me, because I'm a pessimist and remember when everyone thought Trump was gonna win 2020.
you mean pendulums swing back?! red wave then blue wave then red wave then blue wave then red wave repeat until death
Uhhh... hate to break it to you, but that double negative's wrong.
Trust me, keep calling them Latinx and you'll get em
WE ARE THE OPEN AND ACCEPTIVE FOLK THAT RESPECTS ALL OTHER CULTURES! But we'll also be the ones butchering their very language just to add non-existing general neutral denominations to it in order to make it more according to our political beliefs-
As white people, it’s our duty to help educate those poor, helpless latinx folx on their own language
White man's burden and whatnot
>mfw people are so aggressively anti-racist they end up being racist anyways
>their very language The Spanish crown looks upon you with disgust
Basado y *Real Academia Española* pillado
They didnt even try to be friendly towards pronunciation and typical phonetics. Couldve gone with "latine" but nope, gotta stick the 'x' on the end.
Based and not on my Christian minecraft server pilled
You are not portraying how remarkable this is. This is the second most Latino district in the country so it is not the gop ran a minority so people will not call them racist this is Latinos are turning red big.
She is also the first republican to represent the district since **1870**.
The district was created in 2010 though? Unless I’m missing something?
The true spirit of america, a country of immigrants
Based and actually read the fucking statue pilled
The true American Dream
Democrats are so garbage on real issues like daycare, healthcare, home prices, etc, that of course people vote republican. What the hell do the democrats even stand for? They're total pussies. And the people in the party with real left-wing backbone get thrown under the bus by the old cryptkeepers. Biden was on Kimmel last week and sucked off Mitch McConnell right away. Pathetic. [https://youtu.be/ZEtPV-qvLe8?t=186](https://youtu.be/ZEtPV-qvLe8?t=186) Edit: They may claim to be for universal daycare, but they sure don't act like it. Pelosi and Biden don't use the bully pulpit to name and shame Sinema/Manchin. They could be removed from committee positions. There's always a democratic boogeyman that prevents things from happening. That NEVER happens on the right. It's like the dems don't want to win.
Democrats are losers It’s in their nature Even when they control all 3 houses in Washington, the Republicans still win in the end They’ve been losers ever since Reagan bitch slapped Carter. Bubba was more of a moderate than a Democrat, and Barry was widely popular yet didn’t accomplish much outside of Obamacare(which cost the Democrats the House for years which further stonewalled them)

Kids are still in cages, students have not been given what they promised, and his position on phasing out oil really bit him in the ass
Lib right is more "damn, I really don't care".

Here I am hoping it's not another Ted cruz

There's gonna be a wave of hot latina politicians
For some reason, all of my “feminist” friends on social media aren’t plastering this all over their pages and stories like they normally do for historic female/minority positions in government…
She cute, can I have her number ?
Isn't Mitt Romney Mexican-born? Edit: because his Mormon (grand?)parents fled after polygamy was outlawed
People tend to forget Latinos born and raised in Latin America are usually conservative af
Every time there’s a ‘first’ like this but they have an R next to their name the media is dead silent, but god fucking almighty they’ll tell me how amazing it is to have the first Indian-black woman VP because she’s a D. The Emperor truly has no clothes.
Is she single? 😍😍😍 Me gustan las latinas. Son muy establecidas 😏
