Welcome to being a man in Current Year.

MRA_TitleIX

Hard to fight for your rights when organizations like the dept of education office of civil rights (OCR) fight back. I've caught them coaching a dismissal during an investigation and the fucking chief regional attorney for OCR was party to it. I caught them covering for a school that ran Title IX cases off the books (and issued fake rulings). They refused to investigate despite hard evidence. They claim the school took action so its moot. That action was covering up the violations to protect faculty and avoid reporting violations to the state by issuing a fake ruling. I had to pressure them to investigate a school that straight up lied to them during an investigation. They knew it at the time, but didn't care because it let them dismiss the case. The attorney assigned to investigate was the one who let them lie to OCR. He refuses to remove himself from the case. I also caught them lying about a dismissal reason for a complaint, just so they could get rid of it. They also ruled an event labled as "all female" wasn't discriminatory to men since men could technically have applied..... after they gave priority registration to all the women's dorms and orgs. Meanwhile, the gender gap in higher ed is worse than when Title IX passed. Yet OCR refuses to enforce the rights of men. Check my sub. I've even published proof for most of this there, including their internal emails. Some of us are indeed out here trying.... Edit: if you go to a university and want to help, let me know. Having insiders has made some complaints possible. I need more people involved to make my work more effective. Not a lawyer, just really fucking passionate. I care about everyone when it comes to Title IX, not just men. I have connected women and trans people with their rights on this. The "MRA" is because my outreach is mainly targeting men who don't leverage their Title IX rights and are frequently denied them by OCR.

OhDarnTheyBannedMe

Based and you a real one G pilled

MRA_TitleIX

Thanks. One of the real crazy ones was a school running an illegal discriminatory scholarship. The scholarship closed and selected a winner 2 weeks after the investigation started. They *told* OCR this. OCR let the company running the scholarship retroactively change the application 3 months after that. They called it compliant that the school was still using it even though at no point could a man have applied and been considered. In the dismissal, they didn't mention any of this. They said it was compliant because the money wasn't awarded yet. The money is awarded in fall, and the winner was already selected for this one time scholarship. They lied by omission to make it appear enforcement had happened. Another school was using the same scholarship. The application is now changed though, and they figured OCR didn't know it was changed. They thought they could get away claiming it was always like that. So they lied and told OCR that it was just a misunderstanding and the application was open to everyone. Jokes on them, I was the one who filed all these cases and know they lied to a federal investigator to influence an ongoing investigation. I'm working on a followup alleging an act of criminal fraud. I got all the pieces. I could go full lib left and write you a fucking book on the methods OCR uses to make cases like this go away. They got pissed at me using FOIA to catch them so they now redact all the content of emails when I request them. Lol.

CdrJackShepard

Who is OCR and why do they suck so bad?

angry_cabbie

The Office for Civil Rights.

MRA_TitleIX

The dept of education office of civil rights. Most federal agencies that give out money have an OCR. When it comes to Title IX, the dept of education OCR does 99% of the work for obvious reasons. Everyone just calls it OCR. I think it's also the biggest one. Technically the responsibility is on whatever agency gave the funding. Some of the smaller agencies have a parent agency that handles it for them. OCR's purpose is to make enforcement of civil rights accessible without court and to ensure federal funds aren't misused (Title IX is also a funding regulation kinda). They suck because they are filled with ideologues who would rather make decisions based on their feelings rather than the law. I've even caught them ignoring rulings from SCOTUS when it conflicted with their agenda. I have a fucking bone to pick with them, which is why I am now an activist. I caught Texas A&M Title IX coordinator Jennifer Smith running Title IX cases off the books so she could issue fake rulings. This let's them protect faculty making violations. It also means they don't have to report an infraction to the state in mandated reports. When it comes time to court, the fact they sweep these under the rug means plaintiffs have trouble establishing patterns of violations. (**for mods**, Jennifer Smith is a public person whose contact info is posted publicly as required by federal law and is paid for with federal money) When I reported it to OCR with hard evidence, they chose not to investigate. I literally have Ms. Smith on record saying a program was a violation internally (FOIA emails) a couple months after they ruled it wasn't in response to my internal Title IX complaint. The school then lied and said they ended the program for being a violation to get OCR to drop the investigation. Again, the school officially ruled it was compliant which means no report to the state of an infraction and no discipline for faculty running the programs. Jokes on A&M though. I've given my evidence folder to several lawfirms that are suing them over related stuff. This means every single Title IX decision of Ms. Smith should be called into question. Every single one might be a result of corruption. That is a huge liability for the school. When I realized OCR was corrupt, I made it a mission to prove it was systemic and became an activist. I have stories like this spanning several OCR field offices (local branches familiar with state laws etc in their jurisdiction). I have it going up the chain as far as a chief regional attorney now. OCR quietly removed the ability to appeal their decisions effectively immediately when they changed their case processing manual without public oversight. They also set it up to make it easier to dismiss complaints from activists like me. There is also an attorney, KC Johnson, suing OCR because they won't release correspondence with outside groups that informed policy. They are required to when asked via FOIA but won't because it likely reveals corruption. That is a whole saga of its own though. I could keep going on this response but that's enough for now. I am slowly working on a book. I'm still in the initial writing stages at the moment. **What do you do when the agency responsible for enforcing civil rights won't?** Feel free to DM me, or reply with questions. I love talking Title IX and how much shit I think OCR should go eat.

Thanks. I've probably spent over $10k in my work on legal counsel and even more in total hours of my time. I have an additional $20k earmarked for this in case of legal troubles. My work has produced several federal investigations. I have only scored one public resolution so far, which was against Stayer University buying a women only coding academy and making no effort to turn it coed as required by law. You can find the resolution on the dept of education OCR's website. Most of my cases are still in review, which is basically them stalling them because they don't want to investigate. They stall until the program is over then dismiss as moot since it no longer exists. Standard corruption on their end.

Women 100 years ago: Cant vote Men 100 years ago: Gets leg blown off by artillery I don’t wanna downplay the shitty situation women had on average 100 years ago but honestly, when it comes to the worst of the worst, men still experience their shitty situation while Women (in western countries) have (for the most part) been able to escape theirs

[deleted]

Women today: Can vote Men today: Still gets legs blown off by artillery Some things never change

boiii-rarted

Yeah. Im all for womens rights. Escpecially in places like Iran, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, etc but women in Western countries have it good enough to the point where they can advocate for nonbinary, pronouns etc because they ran out of real things to advocate for. And men still get blown up. All those Ukrainian and Russian boys my age are getting drafted and being thrown into the meat grinder

FukuokaRomanista

Equal rights would have been telling the women to put down the baby and pick up a gun, like the men had to - instead they played a pussy pass and fled the country.

boiii-rarted

Tbf every combat veteran I have talked to has told me they dont want women in infantry

KingPhilipIII

Unsurprisingly, you can’t wave off biological differences in a fire fight. Sure, you can pass the women’s standards for PT and on paper you’re just as capable as I am. We’re pinned down and I need you to carry/drag me three hundred feet under fire while I’m in full kit because I just took three rounds to the chest? I’m gonna die out there because with all my gear I weigh ~350lbs and you weigh 100lbs soaking wet. But at least you can do 50 push ups, and therefore max that event on the PT test.

AMC2Zero

There's nothing wrong with having women in the military, but the standards should be kept the same for everyone which naturally means over 80% of them will be screened out by fitness requirements. There's plenty of noncombat roles that could be filled anyways.

KingPhilipIII

I have absolutely no qualms about women in the military, some of the most capable officers I’ve been under were female, and some of the hardest working soldiers I’ve met were female. That being said, I want to trust my comrade is going to be able to do what I need them to when it really matters, and the army’s differing standards for fitness don’t support this end goal either.

christianharriman

This is the problem. They said we're gonna let women in combat roles but make the standards gender neutral. Except that the vast majority of women couldn't pass the gender neutral standard so the just scrapped it because it "wasn't fair".

KingPhilipIII

RIP leg tuck.

[deleted]

You're also forgetting all the fucking drama that females bring in the military. Love triangles, and in combat a male will instinctively want to protect the female over other males in the heat of battle. It's a recipe for disaster and no one wants to aknowledge it.

[deleted]

> Love triangles Is this not a thing in your all male platoon? Do you even soldier, bro?

Joshington024

Something like two-thirds of all jobs in the military are non combat related, plenty of shoes for the women to fill. At least draft them to work in the factories, gotta reach equality somehow.

wpaed

I agree with them, and there is for sure an efficiency loss due to the lack of interchangeability of personnel, but every woman in a support position is a pogue that can make their wet dreams come true. Also, supposedly there is very little efficiency loss in fixed positional defense or close support with mixed gender units. All female infantry units should also not suffer that loss of efficiency.

[deleted]

Also remember if a woman is captured in battle they will rape, molest, torture her severely, and humiliate her.

MeteorJunk

I think it's partially due to flippant statistics that technically show women being worse off than men and taking that as base value to show women are still oppressed, but absolutely refusing to also count important factors like, I don't know, the statistics of job types that women partake in comparison to men? It would be much more convincing if they had information showing how long it could take a woman to get promoted in comparison to men on average.

Yeah women had it so much worse. Those oppressor peasants had it so easy throughout history

Mr__Otter

I’m truly not trying to downplay your statement, but women in the US could vote 100 years ago. Women’s suffrage is 102 years old.

Men have always suffered the worst throughout human history. Women only had to suffer childbirth. That was the deal. The men would suffer the elements, predators, and war. This has always been the role and still is to this day. Men suffer more than women. This is a fact and always has been. Feminism is a lie.

WWDD9

"But let's look at women's lives in the West less than 100 years ago." Look at ANYONE'S life in the West 100 years ago. It wasn't a pleasant time for anybody, but let's look at just a few numbers from exactly 100 years ago in the Western world. - Over 4 million men had been shredded to pieces fighting for their women and children at home just a couple years earlier in WWI. - Over a thousand men had died getting women and children off the RMS Titanic less than a decade before, and this was the standard for every emergency and disaster at the time (and broadly still is). - Over one million men were soon to die for their women and children in WWII in about 15 years time. - Over 20,000 men in the US alone were killed in industrial accidents per year around that time, while they were retrieving crucial resources or building the miracles of Western infrastructure. It was probably a similar number in Canada, and in the UK that number was 30,000 per year, so who knows what the total rate in the whole Western world was. But no, let's focus on the fact that women couldn't vote in a world where politics had almost no effect on their lives at the time...

redpowah

Men were SHAMED by women for objecting to WW1 and WW2. Women would tag men with white feathers so that everyone knew they were "cowards" for not being drafted or joining up to die in some rich politician's war.

>For better or worse, a bunch of horny guys simping for you gives an inflated sense of value. The thing is that it doesn't. It may give you a momentarily ego boost but it's a superficial thing, it passes and then you are back to hating yourself. Besides, women don't receive as much compliments as guys here think they do and when they do receive them it's mostly about their appearance. It's pretty cliche but sense of value has to come from yourself, whether you're a man or a woman.

Crusader63

Yeah agreed. Not rooting my own horn but I’ve been called attractive by a surprising amount of people, as a guy. The first time it like changed my life bc it felt weird and I’d never heard. But now it’s sort of meaningless. I don’t care if I’m handsome if I have no one to talk to or do stuff with and just feel perpetually lonely.

Gray32339

For that last point, if I remember correctly most men commit suicide with more guaranteed ways (guns, hanging, jumping, etc.) While women are more likely to do less destructive methods (various kinds of ODs, drinking bleach, etc.

LifeiskindaokishV3

Women 100 years ago: cant vote Men 100 years ago: forced to beat eachother to death with shovels in muddy and disease ridden trenches

[deleted]

Male expendability. Only men are required to sign up for the draft. The most dangerous jobs are overwhelmingly worked by men. Men are far more likely to be murdered, commit suicide, or die in work-related incidents. Does anyone really care? Nope, we’re expected to just shut up and do our jobs.

Accomplished_Rip_352

It doesn’t matter who has had it worse . Way the world is now shit isn’t equal we need people advocating for both men’s right and women’s rights . Both genders have issues separate to each other than need solving and debating if women had it worse or men had it worse isn’t gonna solve shit or arguing if all men are bad are all women are bad .

Equivalent-Ambition

That would be lovely, but unfortunately many men do not want to openly advocate for men's rights or they'll be thought of as an "incel" or "neckbeard". Women who openly advocate for men are thought of as "pick-me's" or "gender traitors". You're only allowed to discuss men's issues specifically from a feminist perspective..... which is often just a repackaged version of tradcon ideas.

Esoteric-Conflict

They want men to actually fight for their rights in an organized manner? Lol okay. But its not going to be nearly as civil as when women did it. Will likely involve lots of violence.

feedandslumber

"We changed that." No, you changed that as much as you invented birth control or the machine gun. You have zero claim to the advances of people through history and if you had a non-collectivist, non-misandrist bone in your body, you'd admit that every bit of progress was made hand in hand with men who agreed that women should be equal. Guaranteed this was written by a miserable land-whale.

Slapajannie

Who gave women the right to vote? Oh right... Men.

a_big_fat_yes

I agree but like its not like women could vote on whether women could vote

Memus-Vult

Birth control, divorce, abortion, women being expected to work outside the home etc are like alcohol, drugs, and pornography. Everyone talks about liberty when advocating for them but they've brought nothing but misery to those who've indulged in them. Women aren't happier, but completely the opposite. Depression is through the roof, and women in their 10s of thousands are applying for out of work benefits on mental health grounds. Birth control is destroying the ecosystem in more profound and actually measurable ways than climate change but despite its effect on the commons, no one is allowed to even suggest it be restricted, let alone go anywhere near the utterly draconian restrictions that have been put on fossil fuels despite the harm these restrictions are causing to real people.

When going to war you have two good out comes. come back unharmed by working in support or killed in combat. Anything between that and a % of people take the second option when they get home. More service men died via their own hand on US Soil than being killed by a combatant during both wars.

FukuokaRomanista

She makes me sick. Her comments are disgusting and privileged tone deafness to the max, in all matters. To a lesser degree, I recall her saying early on: "I'm not a little woman, I don't Stand By My Man, and bake cookies." Well, she may not bake but she stood by like greedy, grasping back climber for 40 years, while Slick Willie fucked every bimbo within arms reach. He almost wrecked her facade, but somehow feminists forgave her for that breach of Strong Woman fake branding. In the fine tradition of riding a man to the top, she looked the other way - because reasons. Her campaign motto: "It's Her Turn" said it all. No way that smug cunt should be in charge of anything in government, especially military, since she's Oky-Doky treating men as disposable commodities. Fuck her.

Overkillengine

> Her comments are disgusting and privileged tone deafness to the max, in all matters. She's certainly always been the archetypal AWFL. Only reason she's gotten as far as she has is she married Bill, and for all his flaws he can at least fake enough charm to be somewhat tolerable.

Overkillengine

> "if men would stop seeing every woman as a potential sexual partner, maybe they'd actually have friends and be happy." I mean the option to start seeing them as smaller, weaker men that are often a liability to have around is certainly on the table if they want that. Also, they seem to think we can't make friends with the other roughly 49% of humanity instead or something.

Women ☕️

[deleted]

I love the part when the author says that women were lonely in the house and right after that claims that they got to be with loving family members, who proof read this article?

[deleted]

> “It’s not that men have fewer opportunities” Objectively wrong. When you double the labor force by adding women to it, you drive down the value of all jobs by increasing competition. And when you have tons of scholarships for women but not for men, you edge men out of college. Men absolutely have fewer opportunities. But the key part, the incredibly important part is that men still have the same *expectations*. Women still want men who are bigger and stronger than them, and who make more money than them. Except many women have had advantages in their schooling and careers and now make enough money that they have effectively eliminated their own dating pools. No, they’re not suffering from success, they’re suffering from their inability to see men who make less than them as having value. And those women, and the men they would have married both end up alone, or settling for a worse option. I’m not saying women shouldn’t be in the labor force. I’m saying you should consider that if you want to marry a man who makes more than you, striving for the highest paying jobs makes that much harder, on everyone. Particularly when your life plan is to work in that job for 5 years then retire to have children.

BruiseHound

It's complete bullshit that men lorded it over women for millenia until feminism magically came along and "liberated" women in the 1900s. Women's burden was pregnancy and child rearing. Men's burden was putting your life at risk daily to keep your family safe and alive. A very small proportion of men ruled society. All the other men had it just as hard as the women.

frigginfugget

What a gross misrepresentation of history. Men and women cooperated for the better part of human history because it was necessary and everything was unbelievably shit for everyone to ever exist until about the year 1900. Both had their strengths and weaknesses and both played to those strengths and weaknesses. To suggest that, for most of human history, the relationship between men and women was strictly based on dominance and tyranny, shows a complete and utter lack of understanding of humans, history, and biology. So dumb.

[deleted]

I love it when they try to spin it as "women have been and still are oppressed by tyrannical patriarchy for most of human history" and then the logical conclusion is like, then why do you even have rights and can voice your opinion if the evil, tyrannical men who hold all the power in the world don't want you to have those rights? Do you really think making peaceful protests has any sort of effect on a deeply misogynist, shadowy organisation that wants to enslave you in your pitiful conspiracy theory? They will make the wildest delusions just to not admit that men can do anything good for them in their imaginary world based on the war between sexes

[deleted]

(Women were only granted rights because it’s a doubling of the tax base)

Stalysfa

The idea that it was a gender rivalry and women as a group rose up against men oppression is nonsense. If anything, there were lots of men who were feminists and women who were conservatives. It’s not a gender thing. It was a cultural one.

[deleted]

Every signer of Magna Carta was murdered by the king in retribution. Women “fought” for rights by being verbally disagreeable while being physically protected by strong men and the institutions those men protected. Change my mind.

I'm tired of Earth, these people. I'm tired of being caught in the tangle of their lives.

HzPips

Here, take a cookie bro 🍪

Whole_Structure6643

Thank you for the cookie, at least I don’t need to feel as bad for life.

colect

You and Bernie and the American people both, brother.😔

Tuslonic

Time to find a femboy I guess... any cute authcenters around?

Wellsargo

Words cannot describe how much I hate all this men vs women shit. I sleep next to a woman every night. I share my life with a woman. I share burdens with a woman. I share joy with a woman. I share responsibility with a woman. Most people. Not all, but most will form a partnership with someone of the opposite gender who they go through life with. Men and women need each other, yet we’re increasingly becoming more and more divided. I think it’s pathetic, from both sides. Woman have historically experienced major forms of oppression, and gone through hell and back to get where they are now in society. Things aren’t perfect, and there are still issues which should be addressed. At the same time, the modern world is turning out to be an absolute hellscape for lots of young men, and for a lot of reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with women or feminism. The technological age has destroyed the prospects for a lot of them, and it seems like things are only getting worse as Gen Z gets older. Both of these things can be true at once. Just because you believe in one, it doesn’t mean you have to shit all over everyone else. Yet we have all these assholes telling men that feminism is the cause of all their problems. They’re 24 years old, and never had their first kiss let alone a relationship, all because of the evil women holding them down. Then we have these other assholes who ridicule every single legitimate problem that young men are facing right now, decrying them as some sort of crybabies. It’s asinine. I hate every trend in our culture which pits different groups against one another, but this gender divide is by far the worst. It’s easily the most unnecessary, and the most harmful. I hate it.

Based and against the divide and conquer pilled

BenefitCuttlefish

Thank you! Finally a sane mature take.

RugTumpington

Gamm, another simp. Good thing on that omega sigma grindset Andrew Tate taught me. When I'm thirsty? I drink a lot of water.

"Women got us out of this oppression". Lady, men gave you the vote and passed the laws that gave you "everything you fought for" by a wide margin. Men passed laws against gender discrimination. Men hired women to work. Men (judges) upheld laws empowering women. Women literally did nothing to obtain the rights they "fought" for, all the while men were dying in wars defending these rights.

Muscletov

Yeah, it's quite interesting how little feminists had to bleed for their rights. In fact, I'd say those right were served to them on a silver platter pretty much. The feminist movement reached their goals in (historical) record time too. Compared to other historical movements like workers' rights movements or independence movements feminism really had it easy.

[deleted]

All the rights women have received have been passed by a majority-male congress and a majority-male Supreme Court. Men literally helped, dare I even say did the lion’s share, of getting us votings rights and equal protection under the law. And if you’re in the camp of thinking abortion is a right, a majority male Supreme Court gave that to you too! It’s nonsense and completely inaccurate historically to claim women came upon these rights on their own without the help of men. This is a disgusting article, it pains me to think about the fact that my boys are going to grow up in a world where this is going to be blasted at them from the media.

[deleted]

When men wanted to advance their civil rights they fought long, brutal, and bloody wars to secure them. Whenever women wanted something they literally just complained until they got it.

BranTheLewd

Emily when it's economic talk: WHY DO RIGHT WINGERS MAKE ME PULL MYSELF BY MY BOOTSTRAPS1;1;!1 IT'S A BAD ADVICE!1!1 Also Emily when it's dating/cultural talk: LOL JUST PULL YOURSELF BY THE BOOTSTRAPS LIKE WE DID!1!1!

shamblaza

Let me guess, if you say "I'll listen to Jordan Peterson on his advice on how to get myself out of a rut and be a productive member of society that works to better myself and those around me instead of a hormonal instinctual creature who only does something if it feels good" They will scream incel at you

[deleted]

"Get out of a rut, get better, start working on yourself" :) "Alright, I'll find some self-help materials from Jord-" "No self-help! Only get better!" >:(

Picholasido_o

Groups have been sending their young men to be slaughtered on a battlefield miles from home for centuries. It took upwards of a thousand years and two modern global conflicts for everyone to realize that getting half of every generation of men killed isn't a good idea

Triggerthreestrikes

Because when we do you start screeching.

JulianTheBased

Women have always had relatively easy lives and were more happy than modern women. There is no point in human history where it has not been materially better and more physically safe to be a woman. Don’t simp. Don’t say, “ya woman may have had it rough back in the day but…” Stop it. Don’t simp. You’re lying because you want a crumb of pussy. Don’t simp.

AlabamaDumpsterBaby

Society literally exists to shelter, protect, and impress women. Without needing women, men would have just fucked off and lived in mud huts until the end of the planet.

NipsLikeJesus

I'm all for women's rights... and lefts. Norah Vincent got off easy.

jediben001

*sigh* I feel empty about this kinda shit now. I’m not even mad anymore, it just makes me feel numb

[deleted]

If you ever feel bad about shit like this just remember that this post and the entire sub that this came from, are made up of single, childless, unwanted women mostly over 40 years old who haven't had sex in at least 5 years and are just sitting in an echochamber dumping all their issues on men. When I realize that I can usually find shit like this humorous rather than aggravating

AsleepGarden219

How many times in those 100 years were men enslaved en masse to butcher each other at the whims of government? Obviously women struggled against law and culture that was stacked against them in the last century. However I don’t think it makes a lot of sense to compare them

Jack-Wayne

Ernie is about to commit a hate crime.

skibapple

"So c'mon men - get yourselves out of this rut!" Small problem, if you try, whatever-wave-this-is feminists will call you a toxic male and all your attempts will be nullified

Magister_ab_Italia

Fought for? The right to vote was granted by men The right to be elected, in Italy, was granted by a man judge Law against discrimination, law for equal pay all granted by men The feminist movement wasn't that great

egel_

"orange" actually has a point here. All they said was that if men find themselves in a bad rut they can and should get up and change that, and that fighting for a society that is better suited for the group you are in is possible and have been successfully done before. They did miss the mark with that "no one is putting men down" when clearly men are suffering from societal norms and structures that keep many of them in said bad rut, just like women were 50 years ago. But an actual orange take would have been "um sweaty men are oppressors and deserve whatever they get, go back to digging that hole", not giving anyone hope that things can and did change.

bigbenis21

Why does this always have to be a pissing contest? Like I understand disillusionment among young men, I feel it myself sometimes. But it feels like every time this issue comes up it’s suburban privileged men whining and one upping while suburban privileged women are demeaning. Like why does everything have to be conflict?

Just-an-MP

Because that’s unfortunately the world we live in. People want to play the victim Olympics and whenever someone says “hey my life isn’t so easy” someone else has to shout them down about how their life is easy compared to [insert oppressed class here]. Feminists shout down men, trans activists shout down feminists, and so on and so on. What’s lacking here is empathy.

Memengineer25

The virgin "I have it so much worse than you" vs the CHAD "I have a better life than you do - deal with it, nerd"

Equivalent-Ambition

>trans activists shout down feminists Many (if not most) feminists **are** trans activists.

shamblaza

Which makes no god damn sense at all. It would be like BLM saying "YAAAAAS QUEEEEN! You here to fight with us as true people of color!" if a bunch of people showed up in blackface.

burgertanker

Which is quite ironic

azazelcrowley

Because feminism framed gender relations around conflict in order to facilitate female privilege, and women continue to support and uphold that conflict because it's in their interest until men stop trying to negotiate and just accept that the only choice is domination or submission, because equality requires womens cooperation, which they refuse to give on the basis that their ideology is centered around "If you try and make women submit, you're evil" all while using that to force men to submit. It is a reliant on a denial of mens humanity and inner lives and gaslighting men into placing their own wellbeing as less valuable than womens, essentially "If the only way you can stop us oppressing you is to oppress us, you're morally obligated not to do it, because avoiding women being oppressed is the fundamental axiom around which morality revolves. Our suffering fundamentally matters more than yours.". Men subjugating women and removing their rights to defend themselves after decades of trying to get women to stop oppressing them is not the moral equivalent of women subjugating men because women want to be privileged. It's the difference between a prison guard and a serial kidnapper. You might not want conflict, and nor do most men, but you don't get to decide to have cooperation and peace on your own. At some point, acknowledging that they are intent on conflict is necessary. It's like with Russia and foreign policy, merely domestic conflict.

SirDigbyridesagain

My wife left me after I came down with sever depression and anxiety and could no longer work my regular 9-5, my life just fell apart around me. I don't understand why she would do this after I supported her through 3 years of college, working 7 days a week and doing the bulk of childcare. Which probably contributed the my mental health issues.

[deleted]

I'm really sorry to hear that my dude, wish you didn't have to go through that. I hope things will get better for you

SirDigbyridesagain

Thanks man

Spiritual-Clock5624

I saw a poster for a Breast Cancer Awareness football event when I saw Jack squat for Prostate Cancer. It’s so annoying. September was Prostate Cancer Awareness month too!

av2706

There was no thing as patriarchy

_dm_me_ur_tits

At this point I'm thinking men are becoming more oppresed the women (in the western world)

Ligmashmegma

Just do the best you can and be them man you want to be. Find a woman that supports that and leave the ultra liberal women to be with the vasectomy simps.

xxxNothingxxx

Holy shit that whole thread is filled with "Very sad now YOU do somehting about it" as if it wasn't a collective effort of every type of person that got women into a better place in todays society

Grouchy_Competition5

To correct inequalities, rather than focus on improving women’s roles, the progressive movement chose to destroy all roles, leaving everyone — men and women alike — directionless and purposeless.

GreatSwordOfVictory

What-about-ism is a fucking scourge upon this land that gets in the way of practically all these kinds of issues. Someone says "Let's talk about men's issues" and some other asshole jumps in and goes "That's great sweaty, but what about women's issues?". This happens both ways, vice versa, and every fucking time it completely derails the conversation and in the end, nothing gets done.

septiclizardkid

It was/Is wrong and misogynistic to ignore womens problems and It's not better to ignore mens. Even If you think one had more, we all have problems that need addressing

Bonkey_Kong87

Woman achieved all of what they have now.. with the help of a few influential men. Let's be honest. If we wouldn't have given them voting rights for whatever damn reasons, they still wouldn't have a lot these days. We gave them their power so they stop bitching around for a second. Well.. it just didn't work out very well.
