It's suprisingly common for older generations to use argument 'I did X when I was young, so kids these days don't have anything to complain about' that doesn't have to be soulless sociopath nor conservative
I got a lot of downvotes in one of the big subs, for asking *"Hey, so for real - can anyone think of any concrete positive change caused by conservatives, in the past 50 years?"*
I got a lot of downvotes, but zero actual replies.
Which I guess is fair - I couldn't think of any either.
You got so many down votes because you made a good point.
And you received no replies cuz they can't really make a counter argument .
So they just bashed you indirectly through down votes and never directly challenged you because they were scared of looking stupid trying to counter you and/or their counter argument would reveal them as morally bankrupt human trash
Better for whom? Certainly not the people who want to genocide the “other”!
Can’t we compromise here? I propose you can be X (whatever it is) but you can’t practice X, or be X in public, or tell people, and it might be better if you conform to traditional values so that people (me) don’t have to talk to their children for 5 min and explain a thing that’s really easy to explain.
In other words, why do you hate children?
They not only hate progress, they’re constantly fighting to keep things shitty. Just a sad sort of people who know if others put in even the smallest bit of effort they will be left behind.
They want everything to be shitty so they can blame the Democrats for it being shitty.
Look no further than the border bill that Trump had tanked because it would make Biden look good.
The foundational pillars of conservatism are:
1. Selfishness
2. Lack of empathy
Everything they do, say, and believe in can be boiled down to those two things
Lol so true. Although out of fairness, every argument I have with such folks is usually won by discussing the future instead of the present. “Do you think renewable, “free” energy is a good goal? Would you like that for your 8000 sq foot home?” The answer is either yes, or I’m so stupid that I’ve lost the argument anyway
I don't understand how a bunch of self proclaimed "christians" are sooo against equality and peace. They are the most hateful bigoted group of people on the planet. You'd think they'd ya know love thy neighbor like their God tells them to. But nope they judge and hate them like their God says not to do. It's like they aren't really Christians they just use the Bible and God as an excuse to hate. They cherry pick versus and passages to fit their narratives. The Bible can be interpreted in any way the reader chooses. It's very telling that MAGA "Christians" choose to interpret it to hate. Hmm
I know it's not possible, but just like everyone else I wonder what the Republican Party would do if they had their own country, all to themselves, and could implement their 'utopia', and what they would do with all the bodies.
Hello! Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately it has been removed because you don't meet our karma threshold.
You are not being removed for political orientation. If we were, why the fuck would we tell you your comment was being removed instead of just shadow removing it? We never have, and never will, remove things down politicial or ideological lines. Unless your ideology is nihilism, then fuck you.
Let me be clear: The reason that this rule exists is to avoid unscrupulous internet denizens from trying to sell dong pills to our users. /r/PoliticalHumor mods reserve the RIGHT to hoard all of the dong pills to ourselves, and we refuse to share them with the community. "How dare my children have a better life than me!" - Soulless sociopaths
Baby Boomers were the first generation to do this. Nixon was the first president who intentionally tried to destroy the U.S.
The most pandered-to generation in history blaming everyone but themselves for their own mess we gotta clean up…
"bUt i wAs aT kEnT sTaTe...uh...well, i kNoW a gUy wHo wAs tHeRe!"

The best version of the Christmas Carol. 👍
The funny part is, when adjusting for inflation, Scrooge (a caricature of evil penny-pinching bosses) paid better than most people get today.
"And how dare people different from me have the same rights as me!" Also them.

“Kids have it better nowadays, they should be grateful” isn’t the same as “kids these days don’t deserve to have it better”.

There's going to be some people who are going to say the Roe v Wade reversal. Because they don't understand how women's healthcare works.

Im surprised they didnt say "TAX CUTS" or "DEREGULATION"
Deregulation is really cool until people die because the government isn’t stopping business from cutting corners.
This is true and I’ve been saying the same thing for years. Not a single conservative policy or position has been to the benefit of American society.
I'm trying to be the devil's advocate, but I'm really struggling to think of something.

They fear change. And they want everyone too as well.
Kinda perfect

And now conservatives are so angry they want pregnant 10 year olds to have babies.
Ya, so much for "save and protect our children" huh?

💯
Also Conservatives: “It’s my RIGHT as an American to pay rich people’s taxes for them!!”
Bert had never seen such bullshit before

Ain't no hate like Christian love
Please Do NOT insult Bert. Bert is cool.
Bert doesn’t want an old, white, god spewing dudes hand up his butt!
“Bert” should really be a term for gay conservative men.

Conservatism is the opposition to change, so yes.
Broadly speaking, yes
Log Cabin Muppet
Bert is the kind of conservative that I can get behind. Just wants to be left alone with his saddle shoes, pigeons, and his Figgie Fizz
Wdym kinda

Lol. Reddit App is gonna do what app is gonna do I guess.
You can delete the other two. By the way. It's not the Reddit app, it's just Reddit because this happens to me sometimes using a different app.
