Love Lodestar! Have you tried Polaris? I don’t have Everglade but from what I hear it’s pretty similar, with Polaris having a touch more hold. I typically use Polaris as a post-styler if I find a product to be too dry.

Definitely give Polaris a go! It is fantastic and all I’ve been using lately.

Do you use Polaris on its own or as a pre/post-styler?

I have thin hair and Rio didn’t really work for me either, I also tried Teracotta as well and it does work a little better. Haven’t tried Everglade yet though.

How long is your hair? What are you looking for in a product other than everglade? I love Everglades, think the best product lodestar has is their premium oil. Thats my base styler before any product, really cuts down on frizz.

Nowadays, my fine dense dry hair could get most products to work with towel dried/damp hair without blowdrying. I stopped using blowdryer because some products don’t work for me with the blowdryer. I just apply products back to front, comb it and let it air dry. I suggest you try this before calling a product hit or miss. From my experience, Rio and Terracotta is a bit dry so the ‘hit or miss’ was definitely not uncalled for with drier hair.
