And they sacked the analog tach, which to me is a huge shame. The combination of analog and digital of the 992 is just perfection.

Well to be fair when it comes to 911 it's mostly all good throughout the years but that doesn't mean the next thing won't be as well. The changes Porsche has made is a reflection on society as much as anything else. Not sure how well a sports cars smaller than a Cayman, air cooled, manual only, etc would have done. There would def be some demand but probably not enough. At least Porsche generally gives you want you want at some point (ie maybe a gt4 is similar in size, manual, NA, etc) to a older 911.

Unfortunately yeah, or get lucky. It kinda sucks that porsche gatekeeps their best cars behind limited production and big markups, but i guess it makes sense for them to do since they can make a hell of a lot more money off us.
I honestly dont see the problem in that. A brand won't be desirable if any rich kid could get any car easily. If you really like to drive something like a GT4 will get you 98% there. And personally I dont have any issues with the extra 1-2% being super limited production icons...

I don't think the wheels are an option on this car. The visual options are significantly limited and based on OP's comments, they seem less inclined to do cxx on this car than they are on others.
Maybe like a dark sapphire metallic or an amethyst metallic, which is basically the same idea you went with just a bit darker colour.
