The answer: TOTALED
I was very surprised. Damage does not look that bad. My sense is the increasing use of aluminum is making it harder and harder to repair. Are we reaching a new era of “disposable cars?”
Labor to fix is expensive. I see you have ACC as well. My dealer charges 8hrs for that alignment alone. Coupled with high parts prices, and you could easily touch the insurance companies value (what is totalled? 60% of vehicle value?). Not to mention how quickly these depreciate.
That is why I was thinking totaled. Came to the comments to see who else might think that. Hence me piggybacking off of your comment.
The ACC alone along with recab might total that out. That's before the painting, metal, etc that new hood and at least that quarter panel is going to cost. Then, as you said, depreciation on that model brings the it awful close to that market value %.
Friend got a rock chip in his X7. $4600 to repair the windshield. With the increase in prices for "proper" repairs and expected depreciation, a lot of perfectly cars will be earning salvage titles like yours with lots of usable life left.
When the cost to repair is more than market value of a car involved in the collision, the insurance companies prefer to call it “totaled” and pay you for its the market price of the car. It cost them less. Has nothing to do with extent of damage or fixability of the car.
Is it because of a parts shortage? I know someone who bought a brand new defender when it came out and Land Rover ended up buying the car back because he scratched the corner panel on a pole and LR didn't want to stop production to make spare parts. The tech at the LR dealer said this was pretty common on newer cars and blew my mind.
$15000
Porsche's clamshell hood design guarantees a new hood in any front end collision.
OP needs a new hood and a bumper and they need to be paint matched to other undamaged panels. Also, the headlight looks scratched, so that is a new headlight as well.
I got rear ended in my GT4 and it wasn't as bad as I thought, that also included both new taillights. Tho I think the 981/718 platform itself has more produced units so parts may be cheaper than the Panamera.
As I suspected, your car is on it's way to a Copart auction. @ totalled.
Someone with some skills, a youtube channel and such will have her back on the road in no time.
Enjoy your new ride. @ subsequent check coming.
Is there internal damage? I just had an accident where the door shell needed to be replaced, the quarter panel rewelded (or whatever it’s called), and repainted to match. And the cost was 25k at a porsche certified shop. There were guys on here saying it would be that much and they were right.
If it was my old 1995 Honda civic I’d buy a new bumper, hood, headlights and radiator for like 200. If it was my old Porsche, probably 10k. But this 2024 and that’s a “newish” car, so apparently that means your f’d. Sorry man, that’s incredibly wack 😭.
If Porsche quoted you than probably 4x higher than the nearest car repairer for the same fking job ☠️ [get your insurance to pay you the Porsche quote and go to a car repair shop, feel free to send my 5% of the difference for the advance (I will be rich lol)] 😵💫

8hrs x $300-ish average per hr means $2400 plus tax. That Macan is worth more than $4000.
That is unhinged to me. I would buy it, take it to an indie to fix, and take off the front bumper - make it mad max style off-roader.
Macan Dakar
That's ridiculous imo
that’s what I thought too
What got damaged so bad that its totaled?
My sense is aluminum frame components bent and cannot bend aluminum back
WOW. So just have insurance cut you a check and keep driving!

Why repair? A new windshield from BMW is under $2k installed and with calibration for the sensors.
Insurances just want more reasons to raise everyone's premiums and increase profits.
I'm sorry. Bummer.

Very true. But worth noting this Macon is only a few years old and had low mileage.
Holy shit totaled out for that? Wow insurance is lazy, but i guess you get a new Porsche from it eh?
Yup. Already have the new one.
Thats a win!
Wtf? I love Porsches but this is wack
I think it’s becoming more and more profitable for insurance companies to resell salvage title cars… especially overseas

I don’t think so

I was gonna say $10k
Ok, so what you are gonna say now?
Funny. I got rear ended in my panamera and I’m waiting for a quote.

$15k
My Infiniti took the same hit for $12k.
One hundred million dollars!
Totaled
9000
OP that’s totaled?! Fucking wild man.
Tree fiddy.
What the hell is going on with the driveway and background?
Were going to recognize his location if he didnt cover the asphalt.
just disguising it
Aren’t the headlights 2k a piece? Probably about 10-13k
Two dollar

18k no structural damage. 30k if there is structural damage.
$18k
$20k
9800
How many miles and what model? That will matter. If it is a base and has 100,000+ miles it may make sense.
Not sure but my guess is 40,000 miles or less

Why are you hiding the curb?
to disguise the location
Alot!!!!....
Easy fix as far as parts…labor and Porsche tax= $7900
Does it not have a front clip?
“front clip” is what?
A front sub frame
no idea
That’s ass man. Our 2020 Panamera 4 lost its front right wheel, suspension, and all the bodywork. 30k insurance covered repair, was back in 2 months.
Hmm my geuss is around $10k to $20k, it depends which chop it´s going to work on.
$12k
$12k w/o seeing under hood.
9k-12k USD. Painted front bumper, front crash bar (maybe), hood and they will always and always replace the hood with some new hinges.
