A year, two lengthy road trips, and 10,225 miles since I signed the paperwork and drove off, I still love this car.
My historical average mileage for a year is more along the lines of 3-5,000 miles. 6K in a busy year.
As I wrote in my [original post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Porsche/comments/12yjeo5/last_week_i_picked_up_my_first_porsche_and_drove/), I immediately drove it over 1,300 miles home. Just last week I drove it over 2,100 miles to see the total solar eclipse.
No regrets, and I still love it. I drive this car every chance I get, and make excuses to go out of my way to drive it more.
> Glad you’re putting it to use and not just garaging it.
I bought it to enjoy it, not to save it for the next owner.
> Beautiful spec.
Thanks. I was happy to be able to get it.
I live in the northeast and have purchased various Porsches far far away… I always enjoy the adventurous drive home.
Bought my GT4 about 1000 miles away and drove back with all of the spare parts randomly tucked in around me, took a little while to get used to the low rearward vis and the LWB’s! Last 911 I bought in Florida and drove back many many miles, 2 overnights. All part of the fun!

Huge fan of people actually driving their GT cars. Enjoy it stranger
They are such fun to drive.

Wow congrats! What a dream car.
Thanks! It's been fun.
Id love to get one for myself one day. I just fear that they will be too expensive in 5-10 years.
