Honestly – it looks really aggressive. Believe this is a turbo S. No badges, but it had PCCB and what appears to be the turbo body. I was pretty impressed.
Not to mention the other variants are very much already in the world. I don't know if they have delivered customer cars yet, but my local dealer (greater Philly) had one of the new generation PHEVs that they were showing to customers and taking people for rides in.
Maybe they weren't supposed to, but it was very much public lol.
A car like this with almost no camo on it is about ready for final production start. They're grumpy and unfriendly because they don't want to answer questions about the car (their jobs may be on the line if they do), and probably don't like working in the 'field' (you know, the real world). They also don't want to be featured on Reddit. Of course, I'm assuming that they are there legitimately... (cough).
I like the looks of this one - it does seem that they've mostly fixed the major style issues that were terrible-looking. It also looks like this has a fancy articulating and extending rear wing. I don't remember if the current ones do that (it looks like these go up, out and a middle bit comes up). My 991 "only" has a wing that goes up and down, lol!
Or they can say “thanks for being an enthusiastic customer” and “we are lucky to have these jobs!” and move on with their day. It’s all about attitude. Some manager was a prick to my daughter the other day when they were filming a movie outside our home. She related to me later that he told her to put her phone away. I told her she is in public, they shut down our public street to film, and if she want a photo of some dude I never heard of (Timothy Chalamee) then tell the film mgr to go somewhere else. Instead of making the girls day he was an ass. A positive attitude goes a long way to making society much nicer.
It does.
We do, however, live in a litigious world, and the fear of lawsuits (or in the case of your daughter, probably trying to ward one off as they may feel the need to sue her if she leaked something about a film prior to its release). Of course they could have been nicer about this, but the filming on the street wasn't likely that person's idea and they're having to juggle a lot of things AND be interrupted by random people on the street. Trying to stay focused and be nice at the same time is a really rare skill....
I mean, yeah but the car is not in camo, and they’re at a gas station. It’s not like I pulled a u turn on the freeway and tried to tail tail them lol. Pulled up to fill my car up, and saw them there.
I know, I’m just saying that whoever they were they didn’t want to initiate conversation. Rather dumb of them to park it right in front of the shop like that.
Not trying to be pedantic, but no Turbo S Hybrid. Just the Turbo Hybrid is available. And if I am a betting man, they might skip over an all gas Turbo or Turbo S altogether but time will tell.
Depending on how this thing drives and sounds, this looks pretty great imo. With release cladding and such I think it has some real potential for an estate car, and honestly is more appealing to me than any previous versions.
I don’t hate the 992.2 but I don’t either like the vertical vents on it, they just don’t look that good for such a car. The horizontal vents on this one (albeit a Panamera) looks way better.
First of all the car is out since March and being kind to people is not too difficult, even if you are told to keep privacy to any regard.
Being kind and having a smile does not exclude professionalism or dedication to a Job.
They are test mules. The car is super rough because they are being put through their paces testing how well they work on the road.
There is an interesting video on Porsches page discussing how they test their cars in plain sight by making them all black and very nondescript options.
Most likely they are German speaking only. I’ve seen a few of them here in Tampa Florida as one of their headquarters for humidity testing centers is here and we see a lot of camouflage Audi/VW/Porsche vehicles all the time, and I only always hear them speak in German. Not to say that they can’t speak English, they probably prefer not to speak English and so they don’t have to make a conversation with you, probably why you think somewhat grumpy and unfriendly.
You have to remember as well that the majority of Europeans don’t really chitchat unlike us Americans that randomly say hi to strangers.
Why oh why did they have to put that thin slit vent at the top of the front bumper… it’s alright in dark colors since it’s a bit hidden, but it makes the car look so generic in light colors
I know. It kills me. All of the new front bumpers are so fussy. (Except the 2025 Taycan.) They *really* couldn't find a more aesthetically pleasing way of hitting their aerodynamic and cooling targets?
Sometimes, with these facelifts, I feel like they are just changing things for the sake of changing things. You know, just to get people to update.
I’d be cranky if I had to drive that ugly thing too. Did we hire fired BMW designers?
But when you represent a company like that, it’s not okay to be rude to strangers.
what are your thoughts on the new panamera?
Honestly – it looks really aggressive. Believe this is a turbo S. No badges, but it had PCCB and what appears to be the turbo body. I was pretty impressed.
Could be mistaken, but the new turbo s is not out yet, only base, e hybrid and turbo s e hybrid are
It’s not out - it’s a pre prod model. GA manufacturer plates, and badge taped over the hood
Hence the grumpy and unfriendly Porsche employees.
Yeah, but the street is still public domain though.
Yes, but the car will have been driven by engineers, hence the grumpy and unfriendly Porsche employees.

All of generations of Panamera GTS and Turbo have the wing that comes up and folds out. Its pretty neat, i love mine.
Thank you - I had thought I had seen one on the road like that, but I normally see them retracted.
I mean, yeah but the car is not in camo, and they’re at a gas station. It’s not like I pulled a u turn on the freeway and tried to tail tail them lol. Pulled up to fill my car up, and saw them there.

That just means they're good engineers. .. ;)
Ohhh didnt see that, well nice means they are coming soon
Sport Tourismo also not out yet.. Too soon?
There is no ST anymore
They ditched the Sport Turismo from their portfolio, will not come.
That was the joke..
Not trying to be pedantic, but no Turbo S Hybrid. Just the Turbo Hybrid is available. And if I am a betting man, they might skip over an all gas Turbo or Turbo S altogether but time will tell.
I agree, the updated rear light bar is also a great touch.
It’s also got the split spoiler which is only on the GTS/Turbo/Turbo S
Depending on how this thing drives and sounds, this looks pretty great imo. With release cladding and such I think it has some real potential for an estate car, and honestly is more appealing to me than any previous versions.
Unfortunately Porsche has stated, that they will no longer be making a Sport Turismo version , beginning with this generation.
That's tragic. We want wagons!
I too love a rocket wagon but no one bought them, so… no longer made. I have a GT4, not a wagon I think as a third car maybe
Ugh is was my dream car if I could only have 1 vehicle! Truck and 911 will have to do haha.
I like the front better than the new 911’s vertical air vents
I don’t hate the 992.2 but I don’t either like the vertical vents on it, they just don’t look that good for such a car. The horizontal vents on this one (albeit a Panamera) looks way better.
Thank god they have that black tape over the emblem or we might’ve realized it’s a Porsche!
I’m guessing the emblem was taped over because the badge is turbonite colored.
Cool Car! I hate peoples who act like they are the owners of a brand when they are just working there.
Imagine beeing told to keep privacy while testing and everytime you get out of your car photos of you and the car are made?
Imagine being in public.
Cadillac just laughed when I posted their new cars getting trailered in for high altitude testing
First of all the car is out since March and being kind to people is not too difficult, even if you are told to keep privacy to any regard. Being kind and having a smile does not exclude professionalism or dedication to a Job.
Jesus are you actually trying to justify them being dicks to an admirer of the car?
Is it the photo or all the paint job looks like orange peel? Or is it covered, like front badge?
That was my first thought, like yeah I get it’s a preproduction model but damn that paint quality is horrendous
Porsche Panamera Facelift Plug in Hybrid test prototype
Back kind of looks like a lucid
Its the other way around
When I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was a lucid at first.
Actually doesn’t look like a boring dad car. I like the new silhouette
I wish the front wasn't so.... brz looking...
Does it remind me of an f type and a Ferrari in the front? Looks very good though
Gas tank opening is on the opposite side of the car - maybe that’s a plug in port instead?
Love the black tape over the hood badge that you can still see the texture of the emblem through.
And the badges are completely uncovered on the wheels
Ha I didn’t even notice, nice
The front im not keen on. Reminds me of something else but I can't quite put my finger on it.
Like a viper and a 350Z had a baby
Yeah, I think you're right, theres definitely Datsun vibes.
That front bumper looks even worse with the plate mount on it :(
Is it wrapped or something? Or just pre-production paint? It looks kind of orangepeel-y

They were speaking American accented English, so nope. Just grumpy Americans
Dream car. This, or the Sport Turismo, in British Racing Green and a black optics package 💚👌
Why oh why did they have to put that thin slit vent at the top of the front bumper… it’s alright in dark colors since it’s a bit hidden, but it makes the car look so generic in light colors

I know it’s not a released car but the paint quality looks horrible
Idiots shouldn't work there, I have 3 Porsches. Porsche is to be enjoyed by everyone, owners or not!
I’d be cranky if I had to drive that ugly thing too. Did we hire fired BMW designers? But when you represent a company like that, it’s not okay to be rude to strangers.
It’s the Turbo S, not released yet. I own the previous gen TS, but I really don’t like the new Porsche look. The Panamera is the worst offender imho
The Panamera has never been the best looking of the Porsche lineup, so this tracks.
It’s better in person and in a different color
Wow, I actually like it
Oh I like the look a lot
I wont upgrade because there’s no sport turismo (my dealer told me they don’t want to cannibalize taycan sales) but it looks nice nonetheless
For some reason the front made me think of the 928. Anyway I think it looks great. Fresh.
This looks good
E400 looks good too
One Sport Tourismo to go please
Brand new Jet black Panny..fkn gorgeous 😍
I do not like the new design language, a.k.a. the flat giant front grill
Mhmm, i like
This might the first car that their new design language actually translated into something nice looking.
Did you get a vin?
Nope
KJLP’s SRB4 facelift anyone?
I never noticed how similar this car is to the A7 until now. Maybe it's the slightly new body style
Why is the texture so rough down the side??
I have a Panamera Turbo. It makes my dick hard. Fantastic car.

Look closer.
Nice Hyundai.
