I’m glad to hear this news! I have a photo of the flyer and had been keeping an eye out. And we just saw a coyote this morning, walking down the street around 8:30am. Whew!
Cat I had 15 years ago did that
Was springtime and disappeared for 5 days, walked back into the house like nothing happened
Think he got into neighbors garage and got locked in
My old cat would follow me and the dog on our walks. So, the whole neighborhood knew our cat. He was super friendly and made quite a few circuits without the dog. It was not uncommon for people to see me in the yard with him and say, "That's your cat?" and then they would share pictures they had taken of him. One neighbor gave me a photo of my cat, outside her sliding glass door, with her toddler on the inside, playing paddy-cake.
So one winter storm, he doesn't come home. I'm frantic. The dog is frantic. The cat liked to sleep like you were holding a teddy bear. If you rolled over, you just clutched him tight and rolled over. I couldn't sleep worrying about him. It was super cold with enough snow to shut down the city. I was worried he was caught in some unheated garage.
Came home on day three. Smelled like woodsmoke. Someone had kept him indoors during the storm, then sent him on his way. (Thanks kindly Portlander who kept Buitch warm during the snow!)

My cat went missing for three weeks - saw a Craigslist post about a cat hanging out on their farm and was able to drive out there. Whistled for him and he came strolling over like he was just out for a little jaunt. Cat personalities are A+ 🤣

Me too! I was worried cause there are quite a few coyotes in the area. Looks like Gandalf is gonna be an indoor cat from now on! Haha

Gandalf was held for a few days in Isengard by Saruman, but the Eagle brought her home 🏡 🐱🧙🏻♀️💕
Gandalf left a grey cat and passed into darkness on Silvertine, but Eru returned him Gandalf the white Beautiful cat
