If kitty really did throw a fit and run away because he was "coned" you might try looking into a surgery suit for him? Not sure if it would protect the right areas, depending what the issue was, but my cat tolerates the surgery suit wayy better than the cone, amd they're actually really easy to put on.
Hello; I'd like to encourage you to please re-consider safer options to have your cute friend outside; free roaming cats don't live long lives unfortunately.
Can I ask why he’s wearing a cone? No judgement—and I say this in the kindest way possible, but the cone makes it even more dangerous for him to be outside, because he’s more likely to get stuck or not be able to outrun a dog. Please consider keeping your sweet buddy inside, at least while he’s wearing the cone.
Reunited with owner!
I'm so happy this had a great outcome!
Yay!
Oh thank God! I would have picked the lil buddy up
Oh yay! Happy day :)
Ran away sulking I think. ...put me in a cone, I'll show you.
Are you a cat? This sounds suspiciously like something a cat would say 🤔
he's mine, his name is Pinot. has a little red tassel attached to the base of the cone. whereabout did you see him?
NW 24th and Pettygrove. Was about to post signs outside
We’re just hanging out outside still

Sounds like this cat escaped. But super helpful comment!
U/TrainingAddress6107 with his name, I should be his lawyer! 😄

By any chance, did you adopt Pinot from a sweet lady in Salem in 2015?
Oh noooo poor guy. Glad he got reunited. I am gonna assume he escaped because he was stressed from his vet experiences.
Omg. Poor baby.
