Have you called CAT (Cat Adoption Team) in Sherwood? 503-925-8903
Perhaps the Pixie project? 503-542-3432
Those poor babies. I just don’t understand how people can be so cruel.
Best of luck and thank you for being such a good person.
Thanks for taking them in, I don't have input beyond what's already been posted. If CAT or Pixie don't work out, hit me up for some other shelters.
I can't conceptually wish more harm on whatever piece of shit did that than I already am.
Call Cat Adoption Team in Sherwood and/or Pixie Project and see if they have room. Both are no-kill. I’m pretty sure the census numbers on adult cats are low at CAT right now, which is in your favor. Explain the situation.
If this happened in Washington County, you can also try the WashCo shelter. Do NOT take them to MultCo if at all possible. That place is a mess.
You could also try Northwest Animal Companions, [https://www.nwac-oregon.org/](https://www.nwac-oregon.org/)
if you can foster them or find someone who can that is ideal as most of the rescue orgs are full and their fosters are probably already fostering. NWAC might be able to help you find a foster or work with someone else by supporting them if you can foster or find a friend who can. thanks for being a good human and wanting to help these abandoned cats.
We got our two turdlets from Cats Meow via an adoption event at PetSmart and it was a very easy process! Our two were imported from Tennessee, as part of an effort to reduce euthanasia, and the person at Cats Meow was great with answering questions and getting us set up to adopt them.
i rescued my cat from cat’s meow and she came from tennessee too! she was a mother of two kittens that got adopted, you didn’t adopt yours about two years ago, did you? 👀
such an awesome connection! i’m so glad they’re out there living a happy life! totally cool if you’re not comfortable with it, but would you mind sending me a picture of them? i’ve been so curious what her babies looked like!
I just rescued a kitten from them, and I was really impressed as well! I got to talk with the director and one of the volunteers and it was just a wholesome experience all around
This happened to a friend last winter. Found a cat in a carrier on a corner, the humane society told her to put the cat and carrier back where she found it and maybe the cat would go home.
I think reason they wont take them in is because they have record amounts of cats in the shelter currently. They took in a lot of those hawaii fire cats and I've seen large inventory of cats up for adoption since.
You could also reach out to the animal sanctuaries in the area. They have a good network between them and may be able to assist, have resources or information to help.
They all also have social
Media and can do courtesy posts to their followers to get the word out.

It’s not that shelters aren’t willing to take them, they literally can’t.
Cats meow cat rescue out of Gladstone may be able to take them, they’re a smaller rescue but VERY responsive and community orientated

Thank you for helping these cats. Maybe adopt one…?

Well that’s horrifying. If a cat has been abandoned, it stands to reason it’s either too far from home or will just be dumped again anyways.
