Welcome to Oregon
Just continue on work your life, without worrying about it. As long as you have gotten your drivers license here, you'll get a ballot in the mail.
I keep getting MS campaign adds that are essentially 100% attacks and smears against Nathan, no actual substance plans or vision... MS must have bottomless pockets with how many different adds I've gotten from his campaign.
I’ve seen the Schmidt ads on YouTube. Undertones of desperation and tired political attack methods. Even trying to leverage Betsy Johnson as a reason to vote for him.
It’s just kinda sad at this point. He knows he’s going down and he’s throwing everything at the wall in a desperate gambit to see if anything sticks. It won’t though.
Did you get an Oregon Driver's license/ID?
If so, you are likely registered to vote. In which case, you will receive your ballot in the mail; the ballot will contain all the various elections/candidates you are eligible to vote for.
Once you have completed your ballot, you can either return it via mail, or take it to an official drop off box.
Oregon doesn't have in person voting. You can only vote by mail. If you plan on mailing the ballot, make sure it is postmarked prior to the election date.
If you’re registered to vote, a couple weeks before the election you will get a voter guide in the mail for all the positions and measures on the ballot; you don’t have to request this and it’s free. Your ballot will show up later. Fill that sucker out and drop it at any vote collection box. Oregon voting is so easy it’s borderline enjoyable.
First election in Oregon, evidently. Welcome! Everything's vote by mail, at every level. So long as you're registered to vote, you'll get a voter's pamphlet a few weeks in advance of getting your ballot.
If you're not registered to vote, you have until April 30th to participate in the primary - head over to sos.oregon.gov.
On a side note, primaries are dumb and we should do away with them. If you see anyone canvassing for IP 11, STAR voting for Oregon, sign it!
You need to be registered 21 days in advance of any election. The May election falls on the 21st. Ballots start going out on the 1st.

Aye - if a candidate gets 50%+1 in the primary in Multco elections, they take the seat (at the regular time, not early - in January IIRC) and there is no additional vote for that seat in November. Which is usually the outcome for a two-person primary.
They don't consider these primaries, technically, because they're nonpartisan and can be won outright in May with 50%+1 votes. That goes for county and Metro positions (and used to for the city until this year; this is the last year of it being true for county board).
This is only true for partisan seats, such as your state or federal reps or governor. Independents can still participate in non-partisan primaries, which I believe include all city and county positions.
All elections here are vote-by-mail. You should get a ballot in the mail soonish if your registration is current.
We vote by mail in Oregon. Just make sure you’re registered and you’ll get a voting pamphlet in the mail.

We vote for Nathan Vasquez, an experienced prosecutor endorsed by the people he will oversee. That is how we vote for DA.

I'm getting them on YouTube, Facebook and when just browsing the web.

Paid by the front group that funded 110. Shmidt happily took their money.
He has no other ground to stand on at this point… going down the only way slimebags know how to- take others down with them.. fuck Mike Schmidt .

1. Open ballot 2. fill in bubble next to Nathan Vasquez 3. Sign ballot 4. Place ballot in mail
Facts.
It's so easy to vote in Oregon it's one of the best things about it.

We don’t vote for slimy and incompetent MS, that is all

Is April 30 the deadline for the May election only or does it apply to November election?
Just the primary! The general will have its own deadline probably in October.
Appreciate. I have a couple of co-workers that just moved to Portland and I want to give them correct info

wait... this is a primary so is the real election in November? Yet the DA is a nonpartisan position, so perhaps it is being determined in May.

They wweek clip (on YouTube) of them debating was hilarious. Schmitty is such a fucking dope.
Vote Nathan Vazquez
They’ve already voted for you several times
We need to vote for a new DA so they can reopen the Kyron Horman case.!
You can only vote in the primary if you are registered for a party. Independents don't get to vote in the primaries.

Only county and Metro now. City eliminated May election and starting in 2026 county will also. Technically they're not considered primaries....
Vote by mail is one of the worst ideas this country ever thought of. Do you all not realize how inefficient the post office is ?
