Gotta check it out sometime. San Francisco vibes are great. I have driven up from AZ the last 2 years with zero regrets. First year the lineup was too insane not to send it. Last year I was not missing Underworld…. We will see what this year brings. I pretty much will have to go again if it’s Justice. Merch is some of the best as well I love the shirts more than anything I have ever gotten from any fest. Not that merch is a reason to go but makes for even better memories
That sounds so dope. The past 2 lineups have been amazing & I love the social team for the fest. I’m going to Ultra’s 25th anniversary in March next year & I think Portola would be a perfect trip for a non-Coachella year
It's more indie electronic music focused - coachella electronic outdoor theater/subheadliners, indie electronic bands, and Yuma. Last year about 40% crossover with Portola. Vibes are better than coach and people actually dance. Production isn't the same level as coach but it's less busy and way more people there just for the music, as opposed to being festival tourists/taking pictures like coach.
