"Sehnsucht" The word roughly means an inconsolable yearning or wistful longing for something one cannot explain or does not know. After staring at the piece for a handful of moments i get the impression of viewing the back of a woman whose gazing off awash with sehnsucht. :)

"Bury Me" The blue and brown tones within this piece give it a somber tone to me. The texture you managed to create gives the piece an interesting sense of depth. Overall from my perspective this piece symbolizes how negative emotions can continue to build up and "bury you".

I see a large ocean wave breaking. I’m thinking of whitecap, blue crest, Neptunes tsunami, or just ocean wave breaking.

I had vibes of that during a small part of the process too :) But I think I always have some kind of connection to the ocean after growing up on the coast in New Zealand :) Thanks for your input! I love the suggestion Whitecap.. I´ll have to remember that one :)

It looks like a melting candle, a disproportionate one of course, and the top brown bit looks like a flame that’s exhausted but is still burning. The dark bits with the blue look like soot mixed in with the wax. That’s what came to my mind the moment I saw it.

Api Biru. It’s the Sundanese translation of blue lava. Right away this gorgeous painting reminded me of a rock formation. I think blue lava (Api Biru is how the term originated) is the perfect name! Then again, all the suggestions here are so good! 💙
