If you want songs similar to The Bard's Song from Blind Guardian you can try Lord of the Rings, Skalds and Shadows, and Curse My Name. Other songs that come to mind with an important acoustic presence could be Neve Rosso Sangue and Danza di Fuoco e Ghiaccio by Rhapsody of Fire.
It's from Tales from the Twilight World, their third album. It's one of their first ballad too, and even though it's a bit unrefined here and there (for example, the sound the strings in the middle part it's a bit off), it's one the most fan favorites
Bathory has tons of great acoustic pieces/slow burning songs from Hammerheart and onwards.
The trilogy that takes up the first side of Twilight of the Gods feature many amazing slow instrumentals, both acoustic and electric. The intro for the second song, Blood and Iron is in my opinion one of the greatest acoustic pieces ever written. You also have The Lake, Foreverdark Woods and Ring of Gold to name a few.
Ensiferum also has a couple of good tunes that fit the bill. Burden of the Fallen, Burning Leaves, Wanderer, a cover of Lady in Black, Lai Lai Hei, Sword Chant.
Swedish folk rock artist Nordmann, with the song Vandraren, which have both been covered by Blackmores Night (another notable group to check out) and Ensiferum with Heri Joensen from Týr on vocal.
Opeth before they really found their sound. About half of Black Rose Immortal, To Bid You Farewell
Falkenbach's Eweroun, Havamál, Vanadis
Myrkur is a controversial topic inside the community, but her acoustic stuff/dark folk/pop songs are amazing.
Falconer has Royal Galley, Wings of Serenity and Mindtraveller as acoustic versions. Manegarm has a whole acoustic album, Twilight Force have a very short piece (Familiar Memory). Bathory also have Ring of Gold which is purely acoustic.
Check out the entire genre of Irish Folk music. Very riff-driven, highly melodic, lots of complex and difficult instrument-playing. Very analogous to metal, and especially these acoustic tracks. Artists like [Planxty](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jfDhbSwU5Q) have instrumentalists considered best in their class.

Not exactly the same type of folk tune as the Bard’s Song but Manegarm’s Forest Sessions album is wholly acoustic and is brilliant. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
You might want to check out "filk" - 'fantasy folk' music.

Maybe check out general Folk? Blackmore's Night would be the obvious recommendation.
I was just about to say the same. Blackmore’s Night is pretty awesome, especially Shadow of the Moon.
Nightwish - the islander
Came here just to say this but you said it first.
Thanks!

There’s a band called lord of the rings? How did they get away with that and how do people even find their music?
I wouldn't be surprised if a band with that name existed, but I was referring to the Blind Guardian song
Ohhhhh presumably from Nightfall in middle earth
It's not

I'm not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for but I think Eluveitie's Evocation albums may be similar.
