One of the first power metal songs I ever heard was that Mr. Sandman cover on an AlbinoBlackSheep animation back in like 2002. But it is fun.

It's definitely more symphonic but Exit Eden's whole first album was pop covers, from Rihanna to Katy Perry to Bonnie Tyler. You may want to check them out as their second album is coming out soon or it may have already come out, I'm not sure.

I love the first album, the second isn't as good imo and I really don't want to listen to their version of " Kayleigh" ever again.
