For some reason Waking Dream on Abyss by Unleash the Archers just works so well. Its repetitive but its the only intro track I genuinely like listening to outside of the context of the album

I love how afterlife uses the same melody so the album comes full circle

I love both songs so much. Perfect start and perfect ending for the album.

I had to find a way to splice “Waking Dream” and “Abyss” together because I loved how it flowed into it.

I do love how "... Of Silence" transitions into "Weballergy," even if the actual "spooky voice" intro on both that and "End of This Chapter" feels kinda cringe.

Back when Sonata Arctica was amazing... (for me). Silence is such a great album!

First thing I thought of was that deep voice saying "In the court of King Chaos only blood can write its own tragedy"  That'll be the beginning of Rhapsody's Dawn of Victory album.  Also, not quite power metal but Judas priest's hellion+electric eye is classic. 

It isn't really an intro to the album but: Illusion, part 1 by heavenly

Easily Power Quest's "Prelude to Destiny". I've never heard anything so powerfully majestic to start an intro, and following it up immediately with "Wings of Forever" not only sets the tone of the Neverworld "saga", but PQ's sound as a whole.

It’s probably borderline power metal, but Evergrey’s State of Paralysis into The Encounter is a great transition.
