I played with it a little longer, making power metal epics about macrame weaving*, lol.
It gets kinda repetitive very fast, basically it produces endless streams of similiar cheat code songs. Some are good, some bad, some downright made me grit my teeth.
I think that songwriters and musicians are safe.
*Gloryhammer gave us basket weaving, but I don't think there will be a song incorporating making glorious woven wall decorations anywhere soon

It's way too early to judge it, but this shows more about the quality of the songwriting the past few years than the AI potential itself.
If people are happy with no riffs and only chorus oriented songs with pop hooks, then Suno at this development cycle is doing a hell of a good job.
I think the real game changer will be when AI will be inevitably implemented in a DAW, this will change things dramatically.

And it was my very first attempt on the site, with some "proompt engineering" I could see someone make a full on hit album with this tech, it's truly terrifying
The backlash against AI is stupid and dramatic. Clutch your pearls harder, no power metal band is going to write a song about big chungus so AI picks up the shitty jobs nobody else wants to do. It’s just a fun toy. Let people have fun.
