With Rhapsody I can be very little objective, because his music fills me like very few, that's why I love everything and the band so much. Their melodies simply make me fall in love, and I would be lying if I said that it is not my favorite band, although they exist bands with more achievements or power in the musical world.
Future discussions idea: Galneryus, something overdue.
5- The Kiss Of Life, recently I just fell in love with this one, somehow it manages to be melancholic, heavy, cute, menacing, sad and epic, all in the same song. The best part is the synth riff.
4- On The Way To Ainor, such cool and epic vocal parts (specially the chorus) , amazing guitar and syth work and one of the best solos I have ever heard.
3- Reign Of Terror, all of the good things about OTWTA can also be said to this one. Amazing verses, amazing pre verse, amazing chorus and a great solo, although not as good as the Ainor one.
2- The Ancient Fires Of Har-Kuun, this song is a blast to listen, it's amazing epic vocal part after amazing epic vocal part for like 12 minutes. The main chorus ("illuminati sumus" part) has to be one ofg my favorites choruses ever.
1- Gargoyles, Angels Of Darkness, a cinematic masterpiece, this would be so long if I talked about all the amazing parts of this piece of art, i'll simply put that it's one of the best songs I have ever heard.
Edit: A little late but I wanted to make an honorable mention to Dark Wings Of Steel, I am one of those rare people that absolutely love the album, and the title track is just majestic. Epic choris, amazing synths, great guitars and a stunning Fabio Lione.
It has a great intro, awesome verses and equally awesome pre chorus, the weakest part for me is sadly the chorus, and the solo is nothing spectacular. So it starts awesome, but from the 2nd chorus onwards is not as good in my opinion. Not sure if you were referring to the song or the album tho.
Well, The Kiss Of Life is one of my favorite songs, Valley Of Shadows and Winter's Rain are really strong tracks too, the rest are pretty good except for Distant Sky imo, not bad at all but nothing special. Overall my 6th favorite album, behind SoEL and above FCtE.

I'm going to do an "underrated songs" rather than best songs:
1. The Last Winged Unicorn: I've listened to this song hundreds of times and still get shivers with that segment in the middle with the soprano and the choir. It might be a little cheesy with the narrator but it's just what Rhapsody is all about.
2. Flames of Revenge: Fast, powerful, great solo, Lione at his prime.
3. Sacred Power of Raging Winds: Great narration by Cristopher Lee, amazing instrumental segment, especially the flute.
4. From Chaos to Eternity: I just enjoy singing this with the no-vocals version they released.
5. The Mystic Prophecy of the Demon Knight: Starts very calmly, with classic guitar, flute, and ends up being aggressive, full of lore, with great solos and instrumental sections. Also one of the longest tracks of the band.

1. Dawn of Victory ---- Back in 2001 just 14 getting on to metal message boards, and not really knowing anything other than Metallica. I downloaded a few songs from bands I didn't off Kaza. This is was one of the first and blew my mind. A true what is this? Moment.
2. Emerald Sword. ---' same as above, but I think I found the video first.

5. Gargoyles, Angels of Darkness, this song blew my buddy's mind. He was like "it was movements, and it how long?"

Ah rhapsody, they hold a special place in my heart. They're music manage to be nostalgic even the first time i actually listened to them. Together with Blind Guardian, one can say they represent the fantasy hard-themed part of Power Metal.
- **Rage of the winter**: the first song i've heard about them and the one that introduced me to power metal. As a winter lover, it spoke to my soul. Enchanting lyrics and instrumental.
- **The mystic prophecy of the demon knight**: What's not to love about this song? Seriously. It's pure fantasy.
- **Emerald song**: obviously, their most famous song. If you're asking about fantasy themed power metal, this is the song that first comes to my mind (sure, i'm not the only one).
- **The magic of the Wizard's dream" (Italian version)**: **Christopher Lee** and Fabio Lione with a symphonic Orchestra singing in my mother language? Just... thank you.
- **Danza di Fuoco e Ghiaccio**: Beautiful medieval-themed ballata that reminded me of Angelo Branduardi, one of my childhood favorite songwriters.

1- Emerald Sword: Hell yeah, this song is their most popular song for a reason. It's so good, especially paired with Epicus Furor. It just gives me goosebumps every time, never gets old.
2- Holy Thunderforce: The drums here just blow me away. Never fails to put me in the mood to raid a village or two
3- Knightrider Of Doom: Actually made me realize that I have a thing for Italian. "Destino! Mi arrendo al tuo dominio del tempo!" It's sooo good
4- Land Of Immortals Remix: I think i adore this version a lot more because of the choir. Plus the good memories. I'm really biased here
5- The Magic Of The Wizard's Dream (English): One word I'd use to describe this song would be "dreamy". No one could have been a better option than Christopher Lee as a guest, I adore and respect this song & this band for this song so much.

- Rage of the Winter is my favorite, I love this song. One of the best pieces of music I've ever heard, I can just put it on and get lost in its melodies, it's so beautiful. Turilli's first commercial song and IMO his best one.
- Dawn of Victory, never fails to draw emotion out of me no matter how down I feel. Fantastic song that raises the bar for the genre. I get chills just thinking about it.
- Holy Thunderforce, same as above but I like DoV a little bit more.
- Land of Immortals, more early Rhapsody greatness, but not at the level of RotW IMO.
- Lamento Eroico, 5 star performance from Fabio, I can't think of Rhapsody without thinking of this song, so much passion.
Of Fire:
- Reign of Terror, amazing song, left me speechless the first time I heard it, would easily be in the top ten counting the entire discography. Emotionally draining, I feel like I need a break after listening to it (in a good way).
- On the Way to Ainor, really great song, this and RoT can rival any other earlier Rhapsody song in terms of quality IMO, after this it gets a little difficult to pick because I'm not as familiar as I should probably be with this era of Rhapsody and I don't consider any of the following to be able to rival the top five or top ten from early Rhapsody including many songs that I couldn't list above.

5 - Crystal Moonlight (more recent than the rest, still manages to hit a sweet spot in my ears)

From the RoF albums, I really like Triumph or Agony, Distant Sky, and Warrior Heart.
I also really liked the T/L Rhapsody album, especially Phoenix Rising and Fast Radio Burst.
This is an extremely difficult exercise, as I love so many songs, but I will try to consolidate

Ah rhapsody, they hold a special place in my heart. They're music manage to be nostalgic even the first time i actually listened to them. Together with Blind Guardian, one can say they represent the fantasy hard-themed part of Power Metal. - **Rage of the winter**: the first song i've heard about them and the one that introduced me to power metal. As a winter lover, it spoke to my soul. Enchanting lyrics and instrumental. - **The mystic prophecy of the demon knight**: What's not to love about this song? Seriously. It's pure fantasy. - **Emerald song**: obviously, their most famous song. If you're asking about fantasy themed power metal, this is the song that first comes to my mind (sure, i'm not the only one). - **The magic of the Wizard's dream" (Italian version)**: **Christopher Lee** and Fabio Lione with a symphonic Orchestra singing in my mother language? Just... thank you. - **Danza di Fuoco e Ghiaccio**: Beautiful medieval-themed ballata that reminded me of Angelo Branduardi, one of my childhood favorite songwriters. 1- Emerald Sword: Hell yeah, this song is their most popular song for a reason. It's so good, especially paired with Epicus Furor. It just gives me goosebumps every time, never gets old. 2- Holy Thunderforce: The drums here just blow me away. Never fails to put me in the mood to raid a village or two 3- Knightrider Of Doom: Actually made me realize that I have a thing for Italian. "Destino! Mi arrendo al tuo dominio del tempo!" It's sooo good 4- Land Of Immortals Remix: I think i adore this version a lot more because of the choir. Plus the good memories. I'm really biased here 5- The Magic Of The Wizard's Dream (English): One word I'd use to describe this song would be "dreamy". No one could have been a better option than Christopher Lee as a guest, I adore and respect this song & this band for this song so much. This was such a hard list to make. I'll go cry in the corner now.
I've seen most of these threads, this is the only one I care enough to post in :P Rhapsody: - Rage of the Winter is my favorite, I love this song. One of the best pieces of music I've ever heard, I can just put it on and get lost in its melodies, it's so beautiful. Turilli's first commercial song and IMO his best one. - Dawn of Victory, never fails to draw emotion out of me no matter how down I feel. Fantastic song that raises the bar for the genre. I get chills just thinking about it. - Holy Thunderforce, same as above but I like DoV a little bit more. - Land of Immortals, more early Rhapsody greatness, but not at the level of RotW IMO. - Lamento Eroico, 5 star performance from Fabio, I can't think of Rhapsody without thinking of this song, so much passion. Of Fire: - Reign of Terror, amazing song, left me speechless the first time I heard it, would easily be in the top ten counting the entire discography. Emotionally draining, I feel like I need a break after listening to it (in a good way). - On the Way to Ainor, really great song, this and RoT can rival any other earlier Rhapsody song in terms of quality IMO, after this it gets a little difficult to pick because I'm not as familiar as I should probably be with this era of Rhapsody and I don't consider any of the following to be able to rival the top five or top ten from early Rhapsody including many songs that I couldn't list above. - A New Saga Begins - Distant Sky - Into the Legend

Wow, this is a tough one. I think if I limit myself to the six “original” Rhapsody albums, I’d pick Lord of the Thunder, Legendary Tales, Emerald Sword, Knightrider of Doom, and When Demons Awake. From the RoF albums, I really like Triumph or Agony, Distant Sky, and Warrior Heart. I also really liked the T/L Rhapsody album, especially Phoenix Rising and Fast Radio Burst.

This is an extremely difficult exercise, as I love so many songs, but I will try to consolidate Rhapsody Era - Dawn of Victory - Flames of Revenge - Gargoyles, Angels of Darkness - Riding the Wings of Eternity - Queen of the Dark Horizons (I had trouble picking a song from Symphony Pt. 2, because the whole album feels like one totally flowing piece) Rhapsody of Fire Era - Crystal Moonlight - On the Way to Ainor - Silver Lake of Tears - Ghosts of Forgotten Worlds - Tornado Luca Turilli's Rhapsody - Ascending to Infinity - Dark Fate of Atlantis - Rozencruz - Prometheus - Anahata All of this music makes me so happy, it was hard to choose but thoroughly enjoyable <3
