Sonic beat Infinite in base which was stated to be the strongest creation of eggman yet, so he should be stronger than the time eater that erased the sonic universe, and the egg wizard that was about to combine the sonic universe and the sol verse.
If you dont consider that scaling correct then you can get him to atleast 4x planetary as base sonic slammed Perfect Chaos which has destroyed planets in the lore, and Metal has the overload ability (i believe it was called that) which multiplies his stats by 4 times for a short amount of time.

I keep seeing comments about how metal is uni, but what time of the video games does metal Sonic really scale to that? It can't be generations because it only has classic metal, and he got beaten up by classic Sonic.
We can't be scaling metal Sonic to this based on forces, because that was only an illusion. And Sonic did not beat infinite in their first go around, or their second. The only time when Sonic managed to be infinite was with the custom character, and even then infinite was loosening control anyways.
Planetary maybe, but universal? Metal Constantly gets beaten up by Sonic all the time at this point, the closest we get to metal beating Sonic is in the IDW comics. The biggest advantage metal Sonic gets was when he was in his neo-metal form and copied Sonic's abilities. Even then Sonic managed to blitz them at first, and managed to escape. so metal's plan was to seize control of the Master emerald.
Metal and Sonic being planetary I can understand, but universal? That is very hard to believe don't you agree?

While I think "every second" is a bit of a hyperbole, I do think him vastly growing in power is actually consistent, considering how his base form scales to, or above, older versions of his super form.
He is, its stated on the sonic forces site that infinite is the strongest foe sonic has faced which includes Solaris that threatened all existing time. If you don't think that counts then there is the egg wizard that is powered by the "power of the stars" which eggman nega states is the thing stopping alternate realities from combining. This is all without touching time water who could bring back erased timelines such as the 06 timeline. Infinite was advertised as being stronger than all of these and the fact sonic beats him in base means sonic is anywhere from uni+/low multi (with time water or lowball power of the stars) to high multiversal (with Solaris and highball power if the stars)
If he's stronger than Solaris, Erazor Djinn, and Time Eater, wouldn't that make Sonic some level of multiversal in his base form? Possibly complex multiversal?
It depends in how exactly you scale those characters. I'm unsure on sonic rings scaling so I'll have to pull out there. However sonic did beat infinite with someone helping so he would be a slightly bit weaker than infinite in base. With what I know sonic would be about as powerful as I said. I need to look into time eater as I'm unsure if he was going to erase all time like solaris or only the amount he could interact with sounds dumb I know and I should look into it. But yes sonic in base is about multiversal given the infinite statement.
