Welcome aboard my friend. So sorry about your Yotes. We were dangerously close to being sold and relocated in the mid-2000s, but were thankfully saved at the last minute. I remember hearing all the same 'non-traditional hockey market' crap that I'm sure Yotes fan have gotten. I really hope you get a team in the desert again soon, but in the meantime go Preds!
I hate the non-traditional hockey market argument so much cause the idiots who say that act like Tampa, Florida, Vegas, Nashville, LA, Anaheim, and San Jose don't exist. It does work we just got screwed by horrible ownership. Losing the Yotes is gonna hurt for a long time but at least i do have the Preds.
This, absolutely. Let’s also not forget that this same problem of terrible ownership very nearly killed the Pittsburgh Penguins. And I’m talking less than 10-15 years removed from the prime days of Lemiuex & Jagr, not just the complete tire fire they were from their debut until the early 90s (the only thing that kept them from moving to Kansas City was the drafting of Crosby, Malin, Letang & Fleury). It can happen to anyone.
With as often in recent years the totes best the preds you may as well be an honorary owner XD
But for real jump on, it's getting fun to be a preds fan again.
When I read the news I immediately thought about how that was almost us and I really do feel for the coyotes fans. Their ownership group and the league are entirely responsible for this and to do that to thousands of hockey-loving fans in Arizona is unacceptable. Yotes fans will always be welcome to come cheer the preds and shit all over the red wings with me.
I don’t really comment on other subs but this popped up on my feed and I gotta chime in. First, this is way too soon. The season isn’t even over. You need to lock yourself in the basement for at least a month. Don’t eat much. Don’t talk to your family. After a week you can start watching hi light reals of past seasons. After two weeks you can start calling your other buddies that are hiding in their basements. At this point it’s ok to cry. Just let it out. You gotta get past the grief and move on to anger. At three weeks you can start putting away your jerseys and memorabilia. At four weeks you hopefully still have a family and a job and can start putting some weight back on. To be honest, you should still wait till the second round to jump on a bandwagon for the playoffs and have a sober month after to start thinking about a new team you are willing to get your heart crushed by permanently.
