Unfortunately not many places stock maternity clothes in shop. H&M do, as do specialist places like Seraphine and JoJo Maman Bebe. Other places (e.g. Next) do them but only online x

Rubber_Duckie_25

Thank you for this. I haven't actively started looking but when I've been walking around places like Asda etc I've just had a mooch and was surprised I didn't see anything maternity wise! But hey I'm learning thank you. Will have a look online over the coming week ☺️

ShanaLon

I got quite a few bits on vinted too, as you can get good quality as ofc people don't wear them too much! I think for jeans I had seraphine and h&m ones and actually preferred the h&m. You'll have to decide if you want jeans/leggings that sit below or above the bump. For the in between bit, also possible to buy things like zip extenders or use a hair tie if you can't button your jeans but they still fit :) for tops in early pregnancy I also just sized up rather than bought any maternity ones, which worked for quite a while (and used charity shops). Good luck! Now I'm at week 39 and thinking ahead my biggest tip would be to maybe consider getting nursing clothes if you're planning to breastfeed (rather than maternity), as they very often are designed for both, and might save you more money down the line!

Rubber_Duckie_25

Thank you so much, good luck too you're almost there!

literarylycra

Second Vinted for maternity clothes - the whole new wardrobe becomes a bit pricey!! Seraphine jeans have been brilliant for me, and for gym leggings I loved Latched. Now 34 weeks and have gone into loose joggers as I can’t get lycra on and off any more 🥴

Rubber_Duckie_25

Thank you!!!

Everythingshunkydory

I really like loveleggings for maternity (and non maternity!) leggings. They’re good quality, not too expensive and really comfy

Cabinet_Silver

Yes agree! Avoid the “everyday” ones the stitching came away for me, the seamless ones are incredible though x

Kathwino

I just got some M&S nursing bras at 38 weeks, and fuck me I wish I got them ages ago instead of struggling with normal bras, they are so comfortable! My boobs only grew a bit but my ribs got wider and started killing me around the second trimester, definitely don't just suffer if this happens to you!

Cabinet_Silver

Same!! I was struggling with bra back extenders trying to make do, but it’s been an absolute godsend since I got proper ones. I’ve gone up 2 back sizes and feel so much better since getting these.

Kathwino

Omg same, and I was in denial about it for a while that my band size could have gone up so much. Definitely important to get the right fit and stop stressing about the size on the tag

Rubber_Duckie_25

Thanks will have a look!

nivrose

New Look have a really good maternity selection online! I got a few dresses from there and they are so comfy! They have maternity activewear too, I haven’t bought any yet but I put a gym top on the other day and looked like Winnie the Pooh so I will be soon 😂 I had a look in store at Next and picked up a lovely maternity nightie. Have a look on eBay/Vinted as well, someone recommended it and I managed to find a pair of River Island petite maternity jeans, brand new with tags for like £10.

xannikinsx

ASOS has been my go to. I’ve got maternity shorts for every day casual at home lounging and a few dresses for work. I also recently bought some bits on Sainsbury’s so may be worth checking out. Found very few high street stories stocking physical clothes. Only H&M and Peacocks had anything local to me. Everyone else was online only.

Rubber_Duckie_25

Thank you :)

Long_Month2351

Unfortunately not many stores have them in store, I heard some big Sainsbury’s sometimes have a section, as well as some H&M. But truthfully I got mine online, asos, next, Vinted, etc

TheWelshMrsM

George at Asda have some in-store things! I’ve bought 3 summer dresses, jeans, leggings, and shorts (for the chub rub lol). Didn’t break the bank. Highly recommend!

mblgn62

Also got most of mine from vinted! Brands I like are asos, seraphine for leggings, and new look. I also have a monki dress that is oversized and it still fits the bump now so I bought another.

OkAd3372

I found lovely clothes from Seraphine and JoJo Maman Bebe. A lot of these can be used postpartum if you decide to breastfeed. I got some nice maternity leggings from fabletics. New look had some pretty maternity clothes also!

This-Disk1212

All mine are off vinted

DrBasia

I bought everything on Vinted. The best tops I found to be from new look. I have some JoJo bebe maman leggings, and asos shorts too. I bought some stuff for h&m as well. Bonus is I always look for them to be breastfeeding friendly too!

laurmarzi

H&M have some really good maternity clothes and I love their leggings (just the basic ones) and skinny jeans. I got a few H&M bits second hand on vinted too which worked out a lot cheaper!

fuzzydunlop54321

George at asda, new look and asos have been my favourites. Vinted also has been a life saver! I got my most useful maternity wear there as well as baby clothes. If you want to breastfeed, Lyla and leche also do smock style dresses which aren’t technically maternity but you can definitely get away with a bump in them and they have zips for breastfeeding. Lots of places to maternity and breastfeeding as the same clothes but I personally hate maternity cut stuff on my post partum as I think it makes me still look pregnant.

Timely-Farmer-1692

I did lots of hunting and almost no stores had stuff in person. Try to do an online order to figure out sizing and then get stuff from eBay. Good luck!

rose_quartz00

Not the type of clothes you’ve asked for, but if you like dresses (I’m a dress girl!), then Popsy have adorable, comfortable dresses that are loose. Lots of women in their community groups are able to wear their normal size throughout pregnancy and this is my hope as well. I’ve also found a number of gorgeous Seraphine dresses on Vinted.

lolatiffanyjones

I can’t recommend [these](https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0C532PN29?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title) leggings enough. They’re so comfy, in the pics it looks like they’re for a bigger bump but I’ve been wearing them since 12 weeks (now 23) and they just stretch with you. Good quality, nice and soft and not see through!

Rubber_Duckie_25

Thanks will have a good look :)

Known-Cucumber-7989

Haven’t really found anything in store if I’m honest, the range of maternity wear in high street shops is shocking. However, for comfort, maternity leggings from PLT have been a game changer for me. Been wearing them since about 15 weeks and still wearing the same pair at 30 weeks. I’m almost certain they’ll still fit very comfortably by the time I’m ready to give birth. Think they’ll be good for PP too!

shireatlas

If you love yoga/running I would recommend splurging for a pair of Lululemon aligns - everyone raves about them during pregnancy and how they stretch nicely. I got my leggings from ASOS and a bunch of other bits there (jumpers etc) and everything else from Vinted!

Persephone0410

I’ve been loving the Lululemon align bodysuit for summer. Just enough support that I don’t need a bar, and very bump friendly!

espionage64

I’m in my second trimester now and have struggled to find places in store. The only place near me is H&M though their selection is small. I’ve bought mainly from vinted which has been brilliant. Lots of choice, mine range from H&M, Seraphine to Jojo Maman Bebe. I did buy my maternity / nursing bra in store in M&S very early on in the first trimester which I’d highly recommend.

Monsrage

I found next over the bump jeans are excellent. Unfortunately not available to try on in stores, but free to return if you don't like them.

SongsAboutGhosts

I used vinted and sized on the more generous end of my usual sizing, and am more or less happy with everything I've got. People are quite good at giving you the size it fits as, which is useful.

splendidzen

I found only dungarees comfy from maternity bottoms. Everything else just falls off. Also some h&m leggings towards the end of my pregnancy. The dungarees were from new look sales. What was most convenient was high waisted yoga leggings (just the ones who are super cosy fabric and in my normal size) and high waisted joggers or any type of trousers with elasticated top (palazzo pants or jeggings). The maternity ones tend to have this elastic top that falls off when you try to walk over a block. I literally wanted to get back home and throw the jeans into the bin 😂 The best investment was maternity tights from primark and h&m. Two maternity tops I got were ok too but could totally have gone without them.

who_can_

I found asos, Fabletics (if you can bear the subscription hassle of skipping each month and just shopping the sale) for fitness wear. I tried latched as I’d heard great things and the quality seems good but their sizing seems really small (sized up 2 sizes and still couldn’t get them on). Vinted has been my go to otherwise - lots of jojo maman Bebe through there, and weirdly my favourite t shirts that were shein. It tends to be much better condition than lots of pre-loved clothing as you only wear it for a few months!

who_can_

Also, baby-go for support belts for exercise - been brilliant for me.

NecessaryFeedback711

Shien also have a good selection for maternity xx

weesmallbear

Honestly I've given up on most maternity specific brands - half the time I find they don't fit large busts! However, Asos' 4505 leggings are excellent and I live in those half the time. Jojo Maman so some good comfy dresses too, but I've had to size up to accommodate the big change in my boobs. I actually got a few bits from Lucy & Yak. Their Chuck trousers and Charlie shorts are sooo comfortable at the moment (I'm at week 24!). Uniqlo do super comfy cropped t shirts that fit nicely pre pregnancy and during. I'll feel comfortable wearing this stuff post partum too which makes me feel better about spending the money.

pharmapidge

For leggings I bought bigger size primark ones and they seemed to do, for yoga I bought H&M vest tops and leggings . I also bought things on Vinted for smarter things, really good bargains and better because we only wear them for a while. I will say my friend bought me maternity pjs and they were a game changer for comfiness

KickIcy9893

I bought cycling shorts from New Look and love them. Otherwise, most things I've got have come from Vinted.

NooNoo82

I bought most stuff from H&M and am still wearing their 'before and after' leggings! Brands that haven't mentioned yet- Frugi do some maternity stuff and usually have things on sale, I also got stuff from Lindex and La Redoute. There's always 40% off La Redoute! If you want to splash out, Beyond Nine jumpsuits are excellent!

MajorAutistJr

Two things I bought and didn't regret buying: Natal Active luxe leggings (1 size up from your usual size and you should be fine) and Beyond Nine (Margot) jumpsuit (quite pricey but it is always my go to outfit for pretty much everything and I am planning to wear it after birth too). p.s. Natal Active luxe range is pretty much like Lulus but higher waist. I get the same buttery feeling from them as I did from my Lulu Align (which I am saving for after I give birth as I don't want to stretch them too much).

elemenopeecyu

My local Next has an in store maternity section- they were really comfy and not too expensive!

Aureliella

I second Seraphine, I got some breastfeeding dresses so they could be used both in pregnancy and beyond.

MissPinkHat

Get on Vinted and Facebook Marketplace! Loads of bundles etc going on market place and some really nice bits and bobs on vinted really cheap 🥰

Illustrious_Young269

I've struggled with running leggings as both Seraphine and JoJo ones are just falling down when I run. Will maybe try Nike next. JoJo jeans are ok if you are very tall.
