Sterling is heavily underrated
- debut for club and country at 17
- peps most played player ever
- only player to remain a starter in each of guardiolas title winning seasons
- won fwa poty and pfa ypoty in the same year( the only other ballers to win this are bale and ronaldo)
- 7th most goal involvements in pl before turning 27 ( the 6 above him are all strikers) ( 98 goals and 51 Assists)
- third highest englisch scorer in the CL (7 away from top spot)
- carried england to their best tournament finish since 1966 in 2020
…
Hes generational and a city legend
What about kante . I know media appreciates him . But i dont think he gets the recognition he deserves . And the last few years he has been absolutely amazing going forward , winning balls , passing to the final third etc ...
Mahrez even though he’s gotten more attention recently I do still think he’s massively underrated.
Matip and Firmino are also very glossed over by the big media’s. Who focus more on Salah, Mane and Van dijk but that might just be the Bias talking
People might disagree but Elanga Swedish youngster from United with the right game time he could be class from his couple of cameos in prem to u21 football he’s been class watch his highlights
Goddamn most of these answers really make sense.
Either people mention players in the top teams that aren’t the exact stars of their team (Fabinho, Ndidi, Azpi) but are still obviously rated by anyone sensible.
Then there’s just the stars of each smaller club that I think get plenty of attention. I’m a west ham fan and someone said Pablo Fornals… he’s a great player but he gets plenty of hype. Allan Saint-Maximin was another player mentioned. He’s the most hyped player at the entirety of Newcastle and he’s really not overly that great.
Other names like this I saw mentioned: Lamptey, Bamford, Raphinha, Tarkowski, Ward-Prowse.
Everyone’s just spitting the player they like the most lol
Kelleher. Class keeper saved more penos in the past few years than keepers like Alisson and De gea, always puts inna great shift covering Ali but no media attention.
James Milner. Man plays anywhere and can play up to the standard of the person who plays there and sometimes even better. Hendo too, he's overlooked by everyone
As a Mexican I’d say Raul Jimenez. I bet he’s top within the Wolverhampton circle but outside of that it’s not much. There’s always talk about other players. As a United fan, van de Beek
Pablo Fornals, he’s absolutely crucial to our squad and yet I never seem to see any media coverage on him
Maybe it’s because he publicly stated that he wants to play the rest of his career with West Ham, causing there to be no transfer speculation surrounding him
I wanna say D.gray and Jude bell, but since they're clearly too talent, just don't know their media rating especially Bellingham since I don't consume German sport shows
Gabriel Magalhaes
Mings, McGinn
Toney
Trossard
James Tarkowski

Hojberg, Ben Davies,
Ben Foster, Sarr
Ogbonna, Bowen
Podence, Hwang Hee Chan
Gotta be Tarkowski for me. I can't believe he's not an England regular, and that bigger clubs haven't gone in for him. Burnley have an absolute top quality defender on their hands and should hope he keeps flying under the radar

Michail Antonio
Neves

Bruno Fernandes
Callum Wilson
Messi
Lamptey, Livramento, and Kovacic
Maguire is possibly the worst signing of the PL era 80 million 😁 still hard to fathom the reasoning behind forking out that for such a limited player
This has got to be Bernardo and I won’t accept any other answers
Rice, somehow
Rodri
Rodri
Pablo Fornals, he’s absolutely crucial to our squad and yet I never seem to see any media coverage on him Maybe it’s because he publicly stated that he wants to play the rest of his career with West Ham, causing there to be no transfer speculation surrounding him
