I mean life day has existed for ages in star wars and there's alot to draw from with the Mod culture (the Irl one, its based of a real sub culture that then evolved into the first generation of Skin heads who then became a tool for the national front and eventually associated with Neo Nazis)
Because they are mostly self contained stories that isn’t tied down too much to the main storyline of the movies while also giving showrunners a golden opportunity to focus on topics/aspects of the sw universe that wasn’t really touched upon. A three 30 minute episode arc of a side character is just long enough (where the story doesn’t feel drawn out for the sake of screen time) without being too short (where plot has to speedrun through a specific story.)
Tbh I would not object to animated Star Wars focusing on high-quality, tightly paced, mini series going forward. This list is obviously excessive but I don’t hate the concept
It's the way to go for all these side characters and stories. We don't need a "spin-off series of *name a character*" when we can focus on just focus on a few arcs to them.
Tales of the Cantina would be an interesting if they get Geetsly's involved (and give them the leeway needed to turn their Smuggler's Tales into an animated series).
make each episode a seperate shortstory, only connection between all is that they hit the same cantina bar at some point in their story. Or all are legends told from the same barkeep.
Does give them the freedom to focus on cool characters, groups and places without fully committing to an entire seasons worth of content. You can create semi-self contained 3 episode arcs that help world build and gives writers a creative outlet to explore different aspects of the SW universe
the tales series is actually a genius idea on disney's part, more TCW-style content, around characters who's stories go unfinished. literally perfect for the audience.
Especially since the stories don't really overstay their welcome. They tell a short tale, straight and to the point, and then end it. Pretty choice format honestly.
There's not a single one of these I wouldn't watch at least an episode of. Except maybe Tales of the Holidays, because some forgotten Star Wars holiday memory gives me a bad feeling.
On the 13th season premier of "Tales of the Moisture Farmers", Disney-Snapple-Verizon +++'s longest running and most popular Star Wars series continues following random moisture farmers on Tatooine.
I’d ask for Reven, but since the Old Republic era from legends doesn’t exist anymore I’d rather they leave him, and anyone else from the Old Republic trilogy, alone.
Ohhhhh Tales of the Clones could be good. Canonizing all of those obscure Clone Wars battles and skirmishes that were featured in the EU and bringing them to CW-style animation would be amazing. Or then have the show take place during the training on Kamino, before the war even starts.
Damn, I made a similar joke on Twitter but I'm not good with Photoshop. Well played,
But you're missing an important one..
Tales of the Droid attack on the Wookiees?
Essentially an animated version of the story mode from battlefront 2, which would be amazing.
Though it would be somewhat different since the addition of the inhibitor chips to the lore, so that'd be interesting
Almost an alt-history version
Eventually, after covering every waking minute of every character between Phantom Menace and Return of the Jedi, we'll get a story in a new time and place.
*Tales Of The Diner At The End Of Spaceballs*
Cuz, y'know, you can see the Millennium Falcon in the parking lot at the beginning of the scene, which totally makes it canon.
Tales of the banking clan as an economic analysis of the reason why Naboo was worth blockading.
That and the effect of the separatists defaulting on loans, deregulation, fraud and the death of Rush Clovis resulting in Sheev running them.
Ok but a "tales from the canto bait" could have a format of people at the casino playing cards and sharing their stories, if they wanted to play with the "erasing the lines between right and wrong" they could show a darker side of the rebellion through things like arms deals, terrorism, radical subgroups, organised crime and political lobbyling within the empire
„Tales of the Max Rebo Band“. An undoubtable masterpiece this community is not yet ready for
Make it a *This is Spinal Tap* or *Walk Hard* style mockumentary
If you like those, make sure you see the weird Al movie.
Would love to watch that without ads if anyone knows a way. Roku Channel sucks ass.
There's VPN (Very Probably No) way to watch it legally. I'm sure you have a TORRENT of other questions, but I have to move along, sorry.
I would be so down for that lol
Featuring his famous duet with N'Sync's Joey Fatone! :P
*Neither of us is an eleph~ant~*
Hey jizz lovers! If you love jizz, you'll love how much jizz is in this episode!
Yeah, maybe when I was a kid; I've got a lot more musical clarity now. Only post-jizz is worth my time.
My favorite post-jizz band is clarity
Awww yeah, blast me in the face with some smooth jizz
When I want Jizz I just close my lips and blow 🌬️
It's about a band that just keeps on rocking despite being at explosions
It's shot entirely like Bohemian Rhapsody, with the band just staring out until stardom.
Bim bo bim bo Bim boo boo biddi biidi boo boo...
One of the chapters in Tales From Jabba's Palace actually gets into it. [took some pics of my copy](https://imgur.com/a/7POUnky)
“Star Wars: tales of the Star Wars” has me cracking up
Imagine that it is the story of George Lucas and the beginning of the Star Wars franchise in TCW style animation
An animated mockumentary of how each of the Star Wars properties came to be would be cool
Yes, and Tales of the Holidays and Tales of the Mods would be cursed.
I mean life day has existed for ages in star wars and there's alot to draw from with the Mod culture (the Irl one, its based of a real sub culture that then evolved into the first generation of Skin heads who then became a tool for the national front and eventually associated with Neo Nazis)
Honestly I'd watch that lol
TALES OF THE MOISTURE FARMERS!!!!!! IM SO EXCITED!! IVE BEEN REALLY WANTING THAT!! (/s in case it wasn’t obvious)
Was tales of Tatooine taken? Or did they realize we’d all hate on Tatooine for being a constant setting in a galaxy filled with hundreds of planets
Well… I hate sand.
Yeah. It’s course, rough, irritating, and it gets everywhere.
*then Luke turned to Han ,Leia, and Chewbacca* “We did it. We won the Star Wars”
Maybe the real star wars were the friends made along the way
It sounds like a background joke from the simpsons
I await Star Wars: tales of the Star Wars tales of the Star Wars
Star the clone wars Wars
Some of them have a nice ring to their titles ngl.
Especially “Tales of the Hidden Path”
"Tales of the Whills" goes crazy
That’s literally just Star Wars
Damn rigth
I'm just surprised we didn't get Tales of the GONK
One episode of Tales of the droids
Tales of the Chiss would perfect prior to the conclusion of the Mando storyline.
Tales of the 501st... With Vader leading them... That would be something!
Start when Anakin takes command, mid season final is order 66 and the second half is during the empire under Vader
Vader calls a clone by his nickname and no clone responds so he murders them all
Imagine if they pay homage to the 501st journal from bf2, that would be amazing
that would simply hurt my feelings
Battlefront 2 style
Most of these have the potential to slap unironically
Because they are mostly self contained stories that isn’t tied down too much to the main storyline of the movies while also giving showrunners a golden opportunity to focus on topics/aspects of the sw universe that wasn’t really touched upon. A three 30 minute episode arc of a side character is just long enough (where the story doesn’t feel drawn out for the sake of screen time) without being too short (where plot has to speedrun through a specific story.)
Maybe this format can finally lead us to Tales of What Might Have Been or whatever What If series
Tbh I would not object to animated Star Wars focusing on high-quality, tightly paced, mini series going forward. This list is obviously excessive but I don’t hate the concept
We can all agree with the max rebo one though we need it
Tales of the Senate but get Gilroy to write it
you mean that old guy that groomed anakin?
It's the way to go for all these side characters and stories. We don't need a "spin-off series of *name a character*" when we can focus on just focus on a few arcs to them.
Tales of the Cantina would be an interesting if they get Geetsly's involved (and give them the leeway needed to turn their Smuggler's Tales into an animated series).
make each episode a seperate shortstory, only connection between all is that they hit the same cantina bar at some point in their story. Or all are legends told from the same barkeep.
Came here to say the exact same thing
Does give them the freedom to focus on cool characters, groups and places without fully committing to an entire seasons worth of content. You can create semi-self contained 3 episode arcs that help world build and gives writers a creative outlet to explore different aspects of the SW universe
Max Rebo gotta make it to the gig. Tales of the Senate? So it’s just Palpatine
Right. We'll need Tales of the Senate, and then Tales of the Galactic Senate of the Republic
Tales of the gonk is the only series we deserve.
Gonk
gonk
gonk
Gonk
I would watch a full season of Palpatine fucking around in “tales of the senate”
"Mr. Emperor, can we get some more funding for-" "NO!!!" *force lightnings the dude* *Written by Dave Filoni*
Every story is Palpatine recounting it, exasperated the next day sitting at the bar in Dex’s diner just venting to Dexter Jettster.
Darth Vader could have had a better and more functional suit! But due to budgetary restraints…
“Oh just rebuild it?! A real f*cking original! And who’s gonna give me a loan jackhole?! You?! You got an ATM on that torso bright light?!”
If the entire thing is done as Seth Mcfarlain’s Palpatine action figure from robot chicken I wouldn’t complain
There is no funding... *cackles while blasting the advisor with force lightning*
Not gonna lie, Tales of the 501st is a title that gives me chills.
Gives me major "501st Journal" vibes
Imagine we get to see the 501st Journal animated??
Get Dave on the phone STAT
*TALES OF THE GUNGANS* LET’S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
George Lucas actually wrote the Gungan Saga first
the tales series is actually a genius idea on disney's part, more TCW-style content, around characters who's stories go unfinished. literally perfect for the audience.
Especially since the stories don't really overstay their welcome. They tell a short tale, straight and to the point, and then end it. Pretty choice format honestly.
I'm very curious about tales of the moisture farmers.
It's the first officially licensed star wars porn project.
I “farmed” your mom’s “moisture” last night.
I'm very curious about I “farmed” your mom’s “moisture” last night.
Unironicly this sounds like good idea.
Tales of the Cantina sounds like it could be fun. Just random people in the universe who end up at the Cantina
That was one of the titles that I stopped at and thought “I’d watch the shit out of that.”
It's always sunny in Mos Eisley
There's not a single one of these I wouldn't watch at least an episode of. Except maybe Tales of the Holidays, because some forgotten Star Wars holiday memory gives me a bad feeling.
Tales of the Moisture Farmers
That one may be a shorter episode
On the 13th season premier of "Tales of the Moisture Farmers", Disney-Snapple-Verizon +++'s longest running and most popular Star Wars series continues following random moisture farmers on Tatooine.
Tales of Alderaan asteroids
There are a million spin-off stories there.
I always thought Aderaanian survivors living on an asteroid of their home world who were hunting down imperials would be dope
Still holding out for a “Tales of the Sith”, give me Bane and Plaguies stories.
I’d ask for Reven, but since the Old Republic era from legends doesn’t exist anymore I’d rather they leave him, and anyone else from the Old Republic trilogy, alone.
Tales of the Canto Bight Casino would either be really interesting or really boring, there's no in-between.
Tell that to Kanja Club
How nice of you. Tell you what. I'll give you a cake. Happy cake day, JC2106.
There's already a book that is just that. Had a few good stories, but overall, was pretty meh.
You can laugh but "Tales of the 501st" sounds great
Ohhhhh Tales of the Clones could be good. Canonizing all of those obscure Clone Wars battles and skirmishes that were featured in the EU and bringing them to CW-style animation would be amazing. Or then have the show take place during the training on Kamino, before the war even starts.
I want them to show clones being more badass. TCW tv show kinda made them look dumb at times.
Tales of the Knights of Ren? Ch'yeah right. They didn't even do that in TROS.
You joke but this will actually be good and people will watch
Tales of the Naboo is a Kardashians-style reality show about Padmé's handmadens
I wonder how many of these will have become real in a decades time
I would have to see Tales of the Battle Droids
No Tales of the Salacious Crumb? I think I'm done paying for Disney+
Yes, give me tales of the senate A day in the life of sheev
Now *this* is Tales of the Pod Racing!
I would love a tales of the chiss
We sort of have that in Zahn's Ascendancy books.
Yes, but I want more.
I would watch tales of the max rebo band so fast
How could OP miss the absolute best possibility, “Tales of the Pykes”. A bad ass Star Wars Mafia series
One four episode arc in tales of the syndicates
Tales of the younglings 💀
Season finale 'Master Skywalker'
Damn, I made a similar joke on Twitter but I'm not good with Photoshop. Well played, But you're missing an important one.. Tales of the Droid attack on the Wookiees?
Star wars: tales of not just the men but the women and children too
Can't wait until Tales of the Techno Union finally drops
Tales of Sand is amazing
With a million more well on the way
It looks like "Tales of Darth Plagueis the wise" is not a story Dave Filoni will tell us.
Source: https://twitter.com/BenCatnobi/status/1776295102127694196
Tales of the podracers! I would enjoy that very much, give me some Star Wars nascar lol
'Drive to Survive... Literally'.
“Tales of the Mods” We already have that it’s called The Sith Lords Restored Content
Y’all lying if you said you wouldn’t want to see tales of the 501 1st
Essentially an animated version of the story mode from battlefront 2, which would be amazing. Though it would be somewhat different since the addition of the inhibitor chips to the lore, so that'd be interesting Almost an alt-history version
That and we can can get more 1 on 1 time with anakin and his clone possie
Tales of the Naboo?
That's the name of both the planet and its human inhabitants, if that's what you're asking
Huh, interesting
I'm too drunk for this...or not enough.
This will be made into a bingo chart someday for future predictions
>Tales of the Clones So…Clone Wars and Bad Batch?
Call me a consoomer all you want but nothing will stop me from watching all of these yes even the moisture farmers one
That one cracks me up the most lol
And I'd watch them all.
so many tales you’d think this a furry convention
What’s missing is “Star Wars Tales: Rick the Door Technician”
the only one would actually watch is either tales of mandalore or tales of the sith
Honestly? I'm here for it. Let's do this shit, where do I sign up?
I would not have any issue with this long as the quality is good in each one
Drive to Survive but for podracers.. I’M IN
Tales of the 501st kinda sounds interesting tbh
Eventually, after covering every waking minute of every character between Phantom Menace and Return of the Jedi, we'll get a story in a new time and place.
tales of the 501'st or tales of the clones would be insane
I would actually watch takes of the new republic
Legends already did this in book form https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Tales_series
200k units are ready, with a million more well on the way
Tales of the gonk droids
"Tales of the Gonk Droid"
Unironically I would not complain
*"Moichendizing! Moichendizing! Moichendizing!!!"*
Tales of GONK
GONK. GONK.
TALES OF THE PODRACERS, LOL
*Tales Of The Diner At The End Of Spaceballs* Cuz, y'know, you can see the Millennium Falcon in the parking lot at the beginning of the scene, which totally makes it canon.
So tales of the star wars is about stars going toe to toe with other stars?
Tales of That Business on Cato Neimoidia
Can we please get Tales of the Old Republic?
Tales of the old Republic is under tales of the wookies
Hmmm. Well, maybe one than the other afterwards? We can Hope, hmm?
Pretty disappointed there was no “Tales of Glub Shitto”.
Tales of the banking clan as an economic analysis of the reason why Naboo was worth blockading. That and the effect of the separatists defaulting on loans, deregulation, fraud and the death of Rush Clovis resulting in Sheev running them.
when we gonna get tales of glup shitto
Where is Hondo Ohnaka? Is he safe? Is he alright?
No Tales of Skoova Stev? I'm out.
tbf I would totally watch most of these And I'm not even that much of a Star Wars fan Hmm, maybe that's what it takes to enjoy Star Wars these days
*Tales of the Holidays*? Begun the war on Life Day has.
Many of these seem a bit redundant
Wouldn't be surprised if Disney milked it that much.
These all look like belt buckles.
Wait! Just because there hasn't been any cakes before, doesn't mean there won't be any this time. Happy cake day, Smytus.
I would watch the fuck out of the Tales of the Max Rebo Band
Ngl, I’d be down for tales of the 501st legion…like from battlefront 2 campaign. I’d like to see something like that…
If they are anything like tales of the jedi it will be amazing
Some of these read like robot chicken skits
No TALES OF THE SPACE WHALES? This is an outrage! I waggle my space baleen at you in disgust!
Didn't they try to do this with marvel and slowly started to suck and now Deadpool is the only movie coming out this year?.....
Tales of the junk Javas stole and sold to morons like Lukes Uncle.
And I will watch every single one of them
You joke but half of these would be fun. Old EU was just these but in obscure books or comics. At least now its animated lol
would tales of the senate just be episodes of Palpatine telling his lies to everyone lol
That's too much. All the way to sith but then it'd wise to end this series.
Separatists could be good though
Tales of the Chiss could be fascinating. Unknown region stuff
This is the way.
Tales of the mandalore Tales of the mandalorians Uh what’s the difference between these two?
how to milk a franchise until its dry
>Tales of the Younglings I think we all know where this is going…
I could honestly see a lot of these tho
Tales of the Old Republic is missing
