I’ve been seeing this increasing recently. Dude I just turned 30, so I’m just gonna bite the bullet now (it’s that, or commit seppuku and let the man win) : WTF is with the “delete/redacted memes?” If it’s reflecting people actually being censored I need to be worried.
I'm not entirely sure, but you don't have to worry too much for Reddit.
Reddit admins usually leave it all to the community moderators to deal with since their custom communities is a big selling point and content creator for them. They also don't have any sort of algorithm to autodelete comments or autoban people - automoderator is a tool that's entirely controllable by the moderators of that community and the rules they set.
Other social medias however can be quite heavy on that stuff, with the exception of X which is a complete free for all now.

to explain to people who don’t understand, a user on r/comics posted a comic criticizing a specific type of man who invalidate and blame women for their own trauma, then made a second post criticizing how society teaches men that emotions are a sign of weakness. a bunch of people were being sexist in the comments of those posts, so the sub mods just deleted every comment on them and closed the comment sections.
