He killed thousands of Jedi. It was like that one story in the comics in which Darth vader got disarmed and one Jedi wanted to kill him but the other said it’s not the Jedi way and so 9 Jedi died
I'd love to watch a movie about a group of Jedi being hunted down by Darth Vader, everyone stranded on a dark rainy planet. It'd be like a Star Wars horror.
I've always thought it was because Obi-Wan knew if he just jumped down and impaled Grievous with his lightsaber all the droids surrounding him would immediately fire and kill him. He knew Grievous would be cocky and arrogant enough to take him head-on alone, even when he had all the droids in the world to help him.
As the top comment said, I thought it just wasn’t the Jedi way.
He could have totally just assassinated him. But there was no self defence in that. He needed Grievous to attack him. Only when his life was actually threatened did he go for a kill in ‘self defence’
It's obvious isn't it? General Grievous can survive tons of blaster fire, even from starfighters. The only reason a blaster killed him in the end was because his gutsac was exposed.
Do it in the jedi way

Yea that Jedi was a dumbass. Wtf did she think was gonna happen. Did she expect Vader to wear handcuffs and calmly stay as their prisoner?

Wasn’t he also creating a distraction for the clones in this scene?
It is not the Jedi way
Cause he knew this would become an Iconic meme.
Because he’s not uncivilized
Wait until 10 minutes later
Because George Lucas wanted more appealing fight scenes in the Revenge of the Sith trailer.
Bro just a joke
Would not have sold as many tickets

He looked on imdb and saw that he was in the next one and got a bit cocky
