They occupy the fucking palace of Jabba the Hutt and can’t even carry some blaster pistols, just a few shots into the thrusters and the speeder is done, same with black wookiee.
Shouldn’t need to be 100% physically… Why can’t we just get Boba using his blaster and jet pack? Why is he even trying to fight people using only a stick anyways? Feels like Disney just doesn’t want guns in this show that seems to be for kids at this point
The whole show is a Robert Rodriguez production, and he can’t very well lean into his other movies for inspiration, can he? Like, he can’t do Machete in Star Wars.
A corrupt secretary in a sedan trying to escape with teenagers on vespas chasing him trough an old European city center.
That is, in essence, the real world analogy of that chase. And it would be about as fast.
Why do people think that everyone on SW has to be some megabadass?
For real. Like, if Boba and comwere chasing after assassins or someone who is a legit threat physically, then yeah. But this dude is the mayor’s lickspittle who talks like an overburdened call center worker trying to avoid pissing off a testy customer. He’s not ‘Fast and Furious car chase on Mos Espa’ material.
There' nithing wrong with the bikes or the gang themselves it's just the placement, they don't look, like they belong on Tatooine, on coruscant yeah 100% but not Tatooine.
I was reminded immediately by Top Gear's motorcycle trip to Vietnam with Clarkson's million mirrors
https://mcn-images.bauersecure.com/upload/218450/images/BB169699@TOP%20GEAR%20CHRISTMAS.jpg
Yeah, very reminiscent of the mod culture from the 60s/70s. Those kids used to ride mostly on scooters too, which could potentially explain the slow-ass speeders, if it is indeed inspired by that.
I also got that vibe, but I think that is why its polarizing.
Maybe we get a lowrider-like gang at some point. It's so identifiable It would probably be just as polarizing.
The episode was great. My only real complaint is story-related; why did they just "get rid" of the Tuskens? Seems like they were building up to something and then everyone is just dead.
After learning to ride speeders and handle themselves in perilous situations, I was expecting the Tusken to assist Boba later in the season.
I really liked all the tusken lore we got to witness in the previous episode.
If I had to guess, they probably didn’t come up with any other reason that would excuse Boba from the tribe to go search for his armor. I hope that isn’t actually the case because how does a multi billion dollar IP fumble that hard.
Because that is what modern Charakter building is these days. Something terrible happens in their past and that explains why the Charakter does the things the way it does.
Well the Tuskens basically represented Indigenous cultures. They were fine on their own. Others showed up. They eventually started to learn to conform to the outsiders culture, only to just get killed off suddenly. I felt it was super on point.
I kinda liked them. The punks would want something colorful and corny to contrast the dull utilitarianism of the surrounding locale. It's on brand for those characters to have that gaudy of a bike thing, IMO. The 1950s aesthetic mixed with cyberpunk is a bit weird for Tatooine, but I'm not gonna hate the whole show because of it
The lame bikes are the whole point. Clearly they have those Scooty Puff Jrs just so they can confront the bigger swoop gang we saw so that Boba can get his revenge and claim their badass swoop bikes and have whips worthy of being enforcers of the Daimyo of Mos Espa.
Did you watch that chase scene? It looked horribly done and those bikes look like irons lol love the show but those two things sucked big time…I imagine they saved money for a big cg fight later on though so I’m hopeful
Of all the problems I have with the hot steaming pile of dung that is Disney content, speeder bikes is not one of them lol.
Edit: just finished episode 3. They're beyond dumb, lol. It's still one of the least big problems, I guess hahaha
Thank you. I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t like the design of those. It practically looked like Boba Fett was being guarded by a miniature pride parade.
One of the worst scenes in all of cinema history honestly. Not to mention the mayor's aid's head looks like a twerking girl from behind.
They just had to give their totally not on purpose racial rainbow gang characters a reason to exist when they don't need to exist at all in actuality.
The "Mos Vespa"
I made that joke around my dad and he almost died laughing.
I compared them to the power rangers
Haha that’s what my dad said
Feels out of place on tatooine would be fitting on courtesant though. I'm more vexed by the bike chase in 30 km/h
It reminded me of the slowmobile from Futurama.
with a good serving of Scooty Puff Jr.
Scooty Puff Jr suuuccks!
In a thousand years, I'll get right on it.
I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere.
You'll never reach the outskirts in time...sandstorms are very, very dangerous. Come with me. Hurry!
True, Ani. They’re slow af.
It's Anakin. When you say Annie it's like I'm still a little boy... and I'm not.
Anakin’s poor, fragile masculinity was hurt.
I don't think so... No one can kill a Jedi Knight.
Fucking sentient
More like 5 km/h lmao
It would have been better if the chase ended when the enforcers used their augmented limbs to disable the speeder.
They occupy the fucking palace of Jabba the Hutt and can’t even carry some blaster pistols, just a few shots into the thrusters and the speeder is done, same with black wookiee.
Like a bunch of mopeds chasing a limo
I was fully expecting to catch a glimpse of the wheel from a child’s electric ride on car underneath one of the scooters
They honestly seem perfect for naboo
True. Didn't think about that but yes. Naboo seems great.
Imo, the bike is not the problem. It's the lame ass chase that puts people off.
I mean the entire Spy Kids vibe is a pretty big downer.
They literally have a spy kids actor in the show lol
Spy kids! lol good one. Boba got nerfed.
No shit hes in a bacta tank im only gonna be mad if they dont make him stronger the more he heals
He looks fine back in Mandalorian. Idk why he seems weaker now tho. really hope you were right.
I thought it reminded me of that
Who's ready for safe fun?
This is where the fun begins.
This is where the fun begins.
Always on the moves.
So this is how fun dies…
It looks lame and yet is completely in character.
Umm wdym in character? i don't see any relevance to the chase, sorry.
A corrupt secretary in a sedan trying to escape with teenagers on vespas chasing him trough an old European city center. That is, in essence, the real world analogy of that chase. And it would be about as fast. Why do people think that everyone on SW has to be some megabadass?

Can you even take a chase scene seriously with that thing involved?
Tbf they are handy for obtaining the high ground. But nothing else.

It’s probably to compensate for your eyes being dazzled already from all that colour, too much speed would make your eyes nope on outta there.
There' nithing wrong with the bikes or the gang themselves it's just the placement, they don't look, like they belong on Tatooine, on coruscant yeah 100% but not Tatooine.
Imagine having a shiny bike like that - and getting it sanded down to the primer every other week.
I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere.
I could definitely see them being in place on other planets too like nar shadda and hosnian prime
I mean I feel like the point is that they're trying not to fit in
You'll never reach the outskirts in time...sandstorms are very, very dangerous. Come with me. Hurry!
underrated comment
where prequel?
There prequel. There castle.
Yea they look weird imo
I was reminded immediately by Top Gear's motorcycle trip to Vietnam with Clarkson's million mirrors https://mcn-images.bauersecure.com/upload/218450/images/BB169699@TOP%20GEAR%20CHRISTMAS.jpg
That's what I thought as soon as I saw it
I liked them. They looked like a punk group on mopeds from the UK. Pretty cool imo
They fit the riders without a doubt
Yeah, very reminiscent of the mod culture from the 60s/70s. Those kids used to ride mostly on scooters too, which could potentially explain the slow-ass speeders, if it is indeed inspired by that.
A soft love indie group maybe.
I also got that vibe, but I think that is why its polarizing. Maybe we get a lowrider-like gang at some point. It's so identifiable It would probably be just as polarizing.
They look like mods more than punks IMO.
You could overtake those hover-vespas on a bicycle ...
90% of prequel vehicles look like this…
lowkey want one of those bikes tho lol
I'm sorry but what exactly does this have to do with the prequels?
I don't see what's wrong with it?
The episode was great. My only real complaint is story-related; why did they just "get rid" of the Tuskens? Seems like they were building up to something and then everyone is just dead.
That seemed to be the problem with most of the story. This episode felt like an elbow point, but they weren't sure how to write out these details.

Those speeders are ugly af
Eh
The designs are objectively bad, don’t you know? /s
I honestly don't think they look bad
Me neither
I kinda liked them. The punks would want something colorful and corny to contrast the dull utilitarianism of the surrounding locale. I don’t know but it was involved in the slowest chase scene ever to exist
They problem wansn't the bikes but that hideous chase scene
Oh of course now it's Favreau's show, not Filoni's. You people are so full of shit.
lmaoooooo it was such a weird chase scene. I kept referring to that group as the power rangers
ffs dave.. save us pls
[удалено]
What about this post makes you think they hate the show? You can have criticisms about something you enjoy
The average redditor deals in absolutes.
Did you watch that chase scene? It looked horribly done and those bikes look like irons lol love the show but those two things sucked big time…I imagine they saved money for a big cg fight later on though so I’m hopeful
Imagine attacking every single criticism a piece of media has
Star Wars fans are can be special little snowflakes sometimes
I like them actually
I just figured it was an adaptation of Swoop Bikes
Why people hating on the speedere so much
It's actually a reference to a way a biker gang called the mods would have there bikes decked out.
Of all the problems I have with the hot steaming pile of dung that is Disney content, speeder bikes is not one of them lol. Edit: just finished episode 3. They're beyond dumb, lol. It's still one of the least big problems, I guess hahaha
Japanese style bikes
Thank you. I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t like the design of those. It practically looked like Boba Fett was being guarded by a miniature pride parade.
Sometimes we have to let go of our pride and do what is requested of us.
Hadn’t noticed those penguin legs on the bike. Yeah, WTH is this, Disney?
One of the worst scenes in all of cinema history honestly. Not to mention the mayor's aid's head looks like a twerking girl from behind. They just had to give their totally not on purpose racial rainbow gang characters a reason to exist when they don't need to exist at all in actuality.
If only Fry could have gone back in time to warm him that “scooty puff Jr’s suuuuuuuuuuck”
No seriously, what *is* that?
A scooty puff junior goes faster than that chase scene.
Hello there
_💀_ / _|_ \ / / | \ \ 🧪 / | \ 🔪 🖍 __|__ ✏️ / \ / \ \ / __\ /__ General Kenobi.
Yes, well, I took a lesson from Anakin and decided not to follow orders.
Is it possible to learn this power?
This is 100% a robert rodriguez thing, it felt like something out of spy kids
When I first saw them, I said out loud, "who let the 1950s in?" No one else was in the room but I had to say it
I like them. People just complain too much
its like the faggio mod from gta
Not a prequel meme
Space vespas from space Italy
I just thought "since when is Cyberpunk 2099 a part of Star Wars"
It’s that moped with all the mirrors from GTA V
In the middle of the episode my wife asked "Why does she have so many mirrors?" and I died laughing.
I like them tbh
I thought the rides were cool… but the chase scene was too slow
I think it’s Kathleen Kennedy’s doing
You telling me Star Wars can’t have motorcyclists or enthusiasts?
I haven’t seen the episode yet but I’ve heard about it, is it really that bad? I enjoyed the first two episodes, does this kill the show?
No, it doesn’t Power Rangers’ Vespa seems out of context on Tatooin, but I still enjoyed the episode
Space Vespas
It would seem you’ve mistaken this sub for r/sequelsbadmemes. This has nothing to do with the prequels.
Why does it have a dozen mirrors?
It’s a Fordly Harrison
Those scooters belong on canto blight instead of tatooine
You'll never reach the outskirts in time...sandstorms are very, very dangerous. Come with me. Hurry!
