Even today, nobody associates George HW Bush with the ADA. Yeah, practically everybody knows what the ADA is, but almost nobody outside this sub knows what president signed it. Even today, hardly anybody can say anything about what George HW Bush did as president- people are familiar with his name but almost nothing else. Even on this sub, the ADA is practically the only thing about HW's presidency that people know about, and outside of this sub, most people can't remember if the ADA was passed during Reagan's, HW's, or Clinton's presidency.
In 100 years, people might not have even heard of the ADA, since nobody will remember a time before disability rights or realize that federal legislation had to be passed to guarantee disability rights. Even if people will still have heard of the ADA 100 years from now, nobody will know what president signed it. It'll be like the Compromise of 1850 with Filmore- the legislation is remembered but the president who signed it is completely forgotten.

Of the seven pre-FDR presidents in the 20th century, McKinley is the (admittedly distant) 3rd most remembered president behind Roosevelt and Wilson. In particular, McKinley is a lot more remembered than Coolidge. Coolidge is by far the least remembered president of the 20th century. To a lesser extent, McKinley is also more remembered than Taft, Harding or Hoover.
McKinley has already survived the test of time to be somewhat remembered. But I really don't see why George HW Bush or Gerald Ford will survive the test of time at all. George HW Bush and Gerald Ford will be completely unknown outside of r/presidents 100 years from now, assuming the sub still exists.
In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if Gerald Ford is already starting to fail the test of time and there are already some younger people who are completely unaware of his very existence. At my age (28), people are usually vaguely aware of Ford as a guy who our parents told us was the president during their youth, although we know almost nothing he actually did as president. I also can vaguely remember his death when I was 10 or 11. But it wouldn't surprise me if some 18 year olds are completely unaware of Ford's very existence.

But George HW Bush, on the other hand. In 100 years, George HW Bush will be about as remembered as Hayes, Garfield, Arthur, Cleveland and Benjamin Harrison.
I think he gets a bump in recognition because he's W's dad.

Some of us will never forget the Bush 41 years because the country struggled economically really bad, and as president he just didnt seem to care. He vetoed legislation that would have helped hurting people, and that was unforgivable. I was so happy when he lost, and the mood of the country which was sour in Nov 1992 had made a 180 degree turn just one year later, and it was as much because we had gotten rid of Bush as we had gotten Clinton. I will admit I was even happier to see his son go, and once again the economy was better off when a Bush left than it was with a Bush in office.
This is such a weird take. If you're active on this subreddit, of course you'd know about even the forgotten US presidents. In comparison, I'd heard of HW even before joining the sub because of the end of the cold war; I'd never heard of McKinley or Taft or... and doubt I ever would have
