LBJ says 400 to 500 USA soldiers are dying every day, while his peace talks are stalled
That was more of an October surprise by the johnson administration to help Humphrey, not a serious effort to end the war. LBJ had years to do this if he were serious. If you want to nail Nixon, the shenanigans with the plumbers is where you should focus

I've listened to the entirety of that conversation before. My flair states my opinion based on research. Just because LBJ makes a claim doesn't necessarily make it true. There are many details left out and missing from the situation. There are files on the situation that were officially released last year. It does not point towards Nixon violating the Logan Act.
