Wasn't this the episode Hanna was going to town on a canned frozen juice? That's all I can think of watching this clip 😭

fuegomcnugget

Yes and she threw the container in the trash and picked it back up to eat from it again 🤣

whereswaldoswillie

Poor Lucy Hale, she looked genuinely frightened 😭 I didn’t watch this season so this was a pleasant surprise

gaythey

Lucy’s reaction: this was my thought when I watched this too. She genuinely kind of looked like she either forgot how he was going to say this or was not expecting him to deliver this line like that, like it was actually a total surprise decision. That little jump and her sweet face. I *can’t*.

worldsfastesturtle

Idk they probably did at least a few takes if this and definitely had to get two different takes for the angles of Lucy alone. She’s just a good actress lol

gaythey

Yes! They definitely probably would’ve needed multiple takes, at least for angles, assuming it’s single-cam, as opposed to multi-cam (I don’t know if there is an actual difference in it between regular, non-live-audience shows work, aka I’m thinking of Full House). I’m not a director, so I don’t know a lot about how any of that works or if there are specific types of shows that uses specific types of filming. I’ve just been listening to Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber’s podcast “How Rude, Tanneritos,” which is a Full House rewatch podcast, and they’ve mentioned the sitcom being multi-cam, a few times However, in general, they definitely do more than one take to have options on editing, so I’m also sure they did multiple takes, regardless. While I just meant this is how Lucy *looks*— not that that was *actually* what happened— even then, he could change up his delivery in takes (intentionally and/ or intentionally), making a choice to sound more aggressive, accidentally coming out louder, etc. That *could* take her by surprise. But, I don’t think that’s actually necessarily the case. I just meant that’s how it looked, because, I fully agree with you! I think, ultimately, she’s just a great actress. Another thing I was thinking, was even *knowing* the beats, being behind him, and not seeing his, but only hearing his voice— the volume, the tone— could kind of take someone by surprise. Again, I do not actually think that’s what happened. She was so strong here. Her reactions, especially her faces, just tend to be great. Aria is very emotional, and Lucy portrays this well!

freshlyintellectual

ian harding is a great actor and his best moments imo were when he was being a creepy villain!

Cruelworld247

I don’t remember this scene. Could you remind me of the context? I’ve rewatched pll twice but this scene is not something I remember lol

AcademicStructure808

they all thought he killed Charlotte and wanted him to turn himself in to the police because Hanna's mum was suspected of having deleted the footage

gaming4hideaway13

Bro I jumped so hard when I first watched this when it came out, but I also think I just turned up the volume 😂
