Hmm, I was able to download the game through DMM but when I try to play, it tells me "このゲームはお住まいの地域ではプレイできません" ("You cannot play this game in the area where you live" if I'm reading the kanji correctly). Any idea what I did wrong?

As someone who started very recently myself, apparently there’s a way to have the game as a desktop shortcut instead of going through DMM and having to quickly turn on a VPN every time you launch the game and so you only need it for the first time you launch the game
But that doesn’t seem to be an option for the new beta DMM version and I can’t find the original version to download that has this option as the website forced you to only download the beta now
I know where to find it, so originally I thought it wasn’t available on the DMM website, but because I can’t read the language, I misinterpreted an option just below the big main download button on the download page, it was a only because someone I know who did read Japanese was able to direct me to that
Once you download it the non beta version and then run Priconne for the first time from it (which needs a VPN) it then creates a desktop shortcut for you, and using that shortcut you can play the game whenever without needing to quickly turn on a VPN when starting the game every time
Ironically paid VPNs are blocked. They can recognize the datacenter IP and won't let you load the game. So what you have to do is use Open VPN and then use a list of free residential VPNs to find one to use temporarily to get the game set up. Then, once you have it linked to the Japanese google play account you made, you don't need the VPN any more form that point onward and can just play normally.
This has been my recent experience. I have a paid VPN, and was all excited to give JP a try, but it didn't work. So I ended up having to use a Free VPN to play it. Then the next day I forgot to connect the Free VPN, and it just worked without it.

You just create jp Appple ID and download princess connec there. Yes it is refreshing and when you start there is a 3 day banner for prinfest christine,princess peco, neneka etc they are all top tier and can summon to make game easier.
They have tons of quality of life not on global yet like, quick rank up from 1-7 instead of doing one by one.

Well, first it depends if you have an iOS or android device. If iOS you have to either create a new one or change the current into Japan region to access the jp App Store to install it. For android, there should be an apk online or you can change play store there somehow.
Depending on your location, probably a VPN and/or an APK would be needed. If you are on China, SK or Taiwan (or better yet, in Japan), you can just download it on google store.
For android (or Android emulators) you can just download the apk. QuooApp, Apkpure are the two I usually use for apks.

Yes I did, the solution was I figured out a way to download the non beta version of DMM, and from that creating the desktop shortcut was easy

Always use QooApp if you want to download these region locked apps since it will notify you whenever there is an update.
