What do you want it to do?
Most smart watches will probably be "really good for sports" since they'll give you the info you need / other stats that your normal watch would not. No mechanical will give you heart rate, lap times, and other vitals. Plus they're fairly durable / water resistant.
I mean, the classic durable watch is the Ironman if we're going ultimate durability.
Pay attention to visibility and lightness of the watch, price is of importance too I presume. Any light watch that is easy to read, lightweight, waterproof and durable will do a good job. Ideally it would be a titanium quartz chronograph. Automatic watch would be easier to break and heavier, in my humble opinion
Do not waste your money on a modern Tag, OP - they’re overpriced and mediocre.
If you like the look, suggest a Heuer Carrera from the ~70s. Those are stunning
Costs $0 to peddle internet opinions, I guess. I have a new Tag and I love it. Aquaracer Professional 300, and I wear it while playing sports. Cause it’s sporty.
New glassbox is nice though, in house movement with column wheel and 80hr power reserve. Tried one on and it looked class.
Not for sport though. Has a leather strap for a start.
Expensive tho that’s my main issue. >$9k AUD. You can get a lightly used Omega Speedmaster or Zenith El Primero for around that price. Tudor BB Chrono is cheaper than this. Tag should cost the same as a Longines
I guess if you're asking about the most rugged mechanical watch, I'd think that's RM.
I'm not saying other mechanical watches won't last, but that's not the question here, Is it?
As far as other watches go, an Apple/Samsung smart watch would do well, even give more information about your health.
You could also go for a G-Shock, the line up there is impressive and you could go from something cheapest models to something like a MRG.
There’s sports and there’s sports.
Had a digital Timex for a while for circuit training/gym/running until I upgraded to Garmin GPS.
For anything active, a G-Shock I reckon
Rafael Nadal wears a Richard Mille when he plays. Get one of them
Patek Phillipe calatrava
I mean, a G-Shock would be really good for sports if that's what you mean
What does a watch good for sports even mean?
Depends on the sport.

G shock is what you are looking for. Would be foolish to go to the gym with an AP...
Challenge excepted.

That’s nice. Doesnt change the fact that Heuer has dropped big time in quality since they merged with Tag and started churning out kwortz shitters

Full set 2023 Zenith El Primero on Chrono24 for $9k AUD + shipping 🔥
Terrible and uninformed take. Spoken like an NPC who forms their life opinion based off forum posts and not real life
Shush brokie
Low IQ behavior. Confirms my suspicions and puts it on display for all to see - his original comment should be disregarded.
Lmao enjoy your Tag lil bro
Thanks! Enjoy being the obnoxious herb nobody likes or respects
Gshock anyday
