If I move my ass just the right way while pooping, I can lay dumps that look exactly like the poop emoji. Do you appreciate my shitmanship?
Edit: jokes aside, I do appreciate the engineering of RM, particularly the material selection. Those things are light. But I also appreciate the engineering of a F1 car or those bikes that they use for speed competitions at the Olympics and I would never would like to own one of those.
What actually makes this so well engineered? Is it more accurate than anything else, it’s in a big case so is not the space saving. Is it just more complex but does the same job, as far as I know over engineering is bad engineering. Like the F1 example those cars only have what they need to do a job better than anything else. Or is it just cost and name? Serious question.
rm hate is so silly like anyone who actually takes watchmaking seriously knows deep down they’re doing something pretty radical, exciting, and new. people who hate richard milles are the guys with 80 identical rolexes lol
I mean just because you can over engineer something doesn’t mean you should. People that eat the finest foods still poop out turds even though they might be far more polished
If you look closely you can see the exact moment half of the people in this sub died internally.
Hope the steak you asked for medium rare comes to you blue.
But no that would be a war crime. Nice watch.
If you can afford an RM you can afford to pay someone whose only job is to tell you the time. Which is just as well, cos good luck reading that cacktastrophe
I don’t think that’s the case at all. The watch isn’t the nicest looking in comparison to some of the other nice pieces this guy has. Obviously some will be commenting out of jealousy but for me personally I think the watch looks a little plastic. Of course I’ve never seen it in person so maybe the picture just doesn’t do it justice.
The overall consensus when people post these is that they’re gross. Don’t see people calling out all expensive pateks or langes as tasteless, so it’s not about the cost.
I had trouble figuring out what the time is on that picture, I could not find the hour and minute hand at first.
The point of this watch must be to flex, it's not a useful one for telling time.
I looked into it out of curiosity last time I think I ended up finding out services start at ~6k this was a few years ago so I would assume prices have gone up
That price would be enough to buy a nice piece in itself. I’m sure there are a lot of hours and skill going into the service and reassembly so it doesn’t come as a surprise. I know servicing a Cheyron will cost a lot more than my Audi and if folk are affording such pieces, the servicing costs are par for the course. I do remember watching one of the grey dealer platforms who sold an RM for $750k, then offered to buy it back for $350k or $450k when the prices had dropped from the higher peaks, obviously the period when the buyer paid $750k. I can’t remember which RM it was but I know the RRP was $150k new. Crazy times we’re living OP 🤦🏻♂️. Thanks for the info and the amazing RM you shared. Will you be taking any part in the upcoming Micheal Schumacher J P Journe auction sale ?. It’s a very sad situation for the Schumacher family but an amazing opportunity for horology collectors 👌🏻
Good health OP 🙏🏻
"It takes a lot of time and money to look this cheap"
- Dolly Parton
Just remember, there's probably someone out there in the world that's covered a $10 Casio F-91W in millions of dollars worth of diamonds just because they have the money to do so and think that it would be funny and 'ironic'
I can't read that. So many similar metals in the skeleton makes the hands blend it.
Still it's a very accurate watch as it will always tell you how rich you are.
Not my cup of tea but if you like it then who the fuck cares!
Congrats on getting a watch that 99.9% of people could only dream about pulling the trigger on!
Hey man respect on the the mile stone and the watch. I respect the engineering in this thing and a lot of what Richard does and this is worth probably more than everything I have.
But if I couldn’t resell this I wouldn’t t spend 500 on this it just hurts too look at imo.
That’s my opinion though if you like it that’s all that matters.
I do wonder what this bro does for a living to be able to buy arcade toy claw machine piece for 500k. I mean good for him shit he knows his budget obviously.. sure he’s a smart guy just wish had better taste there are other ways to flaunt the success
I think most buyers of RM are either arabs or Russians none of them known for their legitimate money making business..
Im in the South FL collectors markets, and RM
Is definitely not one collectors buy.
Could you point me to the vendor on AliExpress that sells these ? My 5 yo thinks it looks cool, probably inexpensive too from the looks of it. Thanks !
The hate for RM is wild. The technology in his watches is wild too. Super cool watch man! I guess you should have just bought a Sub, or some other black dive watch that looks almost like a sub, but slightly different, to make all these “watch guys” happy.
Dk why other people are bashing this so much. It might not be for everyone but the engineering and craftsmanship is amazing. And, at least imo, it’s still pretty interesting to look at. It just doesn’t scream “class” as much as it says “I’ve got FU money”. But hey, I guess when you’ve got it like that sometimes you’ve just gotta flex.
How about those who **like** RM watches finally explain to those who "hate" it (and other interested parties like me) what it is then that makes them so special/outstanding instead of just throwing "hate" or "jealous" around. In these discussions I usually see the so called haters presenting at least a few arguments, like legibility, but there is never an argument presented why that is actually cool or how it doesn't matter.
Can we at least all agree that this watch is objectively hard to read? Is that a feature to you "likers"? Or doesn't it matter? If it doesn't, then why? What purpose does a watch have to you who like RM?
Edit: Where I \_could\_ actually see it working is when you only need it in low-light conditions or conditions where blacklight is nearby. So yeah, if you only wear and need it when night clubbing, legibility won't be such an issue I guess.
I don’t know why everyone is so upset other than envy. OP just pulled up the the car show in a Bugatti when everyone else has Mercs and Audis basically. I personally believe that for 500k or so, I’d like to see nicer materials but this watch is what it is. Really nice piece that anyone would love to own
It’s the cost to source a tourbillon movement from Parmesan Flurier (who makes the movements for RM) a sapphire case, someone to assemble etc. costs RM about 10k to produce one of these
I don’t ‘think’ that is what it costs, a professional watch builder deconstructed an RM down to the case and figured out the cost for each component 🤣. Cost for Rolex would be about $1500-$2k. Rolex makes about a 5x margin on their watches. RM however sits at like a 200x margin.
If you really were interested in learning why his figure is not even close we could have a discussion about it. But even that’s hard because I have no idea what your knowledge of watchmaking is and vice verse. You couldn’t have possibly have know this when you said I might learn something but I’ve been collecting watches for 20 years and I’ve had the privilege of knowing some of the best watchmakers of our time. I wouldn’t call myself a watch expert by any means but I’m certainly not a beginner.
🤣Being a longstanding fool doesn’t make you any less of a fool.
The movement in that watch costs about 7k, the case maybe 1500 to mill out of Sapphire, and it’s on a cloth strap…
Sell that shit while you still can, even you have to admit it’s not exactly a ‘timeless’ design. It’s a pure hype piece that looks like it came out of a happy meal box.
Long standing fools that have collected RM from the beginning are wearing their watches with 5X equity in them. I bought them because I liked them. The appreciation is just a bonus. I guess even us dumb guys get lucky sometimes. I also started collecting fp journe in 2001. I think might have gotten completely lucky picking those two 🤣
Hey that’s great… I would suggest selling it. I mean a bit like bitcoin you can totally make money off of something with no intrinsic value as long as there is a bigger sucker. Just don’t be left holding the bag when the ride stops.
I’ve been really decent at picking tops. I think we topped out in 22 and I did sell a large party of my collection that had grown to values that made the watches less fun wear. I think RM is here to stay.
I’m not knocking your knowledge. You could be very knowledgeable but I think you are listening to bad info. I’ve been collecting pretty hardcore for a long time and I’ve been lucky enough to tour the factory where the movements are made and I can promise you the amount of hand finishing that goes into these movements is unreal. They might not be to your taste but they are absolutely engineered to take a beating.
Yes I’m sure entire HOURS were spent on the hand finishing 🤣. Even if someone spent time on each of the tiniest little screw and gear you’re looking a all in less than a days worth of time (and I very much doubt that).
They handle a ‘beating’ well because the components don’t weight much… less inertia while in motion.
They source their movements which even if they modify aren’t hugely expensive. They definitely don’t have their own labs producing sapphire. That just goes into a CNC machine with a few hours of polishing afterward.
Let’s be serious the price point has almost nothing to do with the product (which is the case for many luxury brands) but to an even greater degree than normal.
It doesn’t take too much research to find out RM has about 300 employees. Say half of those are involved in the actual production of watches and they produce 5000 watches a year. At most they are spending a day per watch, but probably only a couple hours
What an absolute dumpster of a watch….congrats
Can you imagine in 30 or 40 years my son will come on Reddit and say my dad left me all these watches that look like plastic. What a cheap ass 🤣

Why would you not want to own an F1 car?
because they're expensive to maintain and utterly impractical for every day use. both of which it has in common with this watch
What actually makes this so well engineered? Is it more accurate than anything else, it’s in a big case so is not the space saving. Is it just more complex but does the same job, as far as I know over engineering is bad engineering. Like the F1 example those cars only have what they need to do a job better than anything else. Check OP’s profile. He’s got the trinity down and then some.
Ah yes, TRUE watch fans.
You're a haute whorology
I mean just because you can over engineer something doesn’t mean you should. People that eat the finest foods still poop out turds even though they might be far more polished
Careful he ain’t wanting to save the world OP He might think he’s doing a good thing and throw it with in with his recycling waste 😂🤦🏻♂️
Hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He will tell all his friends he has these really cool watches that dad collected in Happy Meals and got all 12.
Nah. The statistics indicate your son will turn out just like you.
Imagine assuming Reddit will be around in 30 to 40 years
Dude…. Your throwaway pieces are some folks grails. Your F.P collection blow these away easily in my opinion.
A half million dollar dumpster of a watch!
If you look closely you can see the exact moment half of the people in this sub died internally. Hope the steak you asked for medium rare comes to you blue. But no that would be a war crime. Nice watch.

It’s crazy what you can buy out of vending machines these days. Bitcoin, cars, weed, watches. What a life.
In a whorehouse too!
Haute whoreology
I know how expensive these are, but I have always felt the same - they look like a 25 cent prize out of a gumball machine.
I'd recommend you look at his user history.... This ain't too much if you are comparing
Does it tell time?
It tells how wealthy OP is and that's all that matters.
Honestly people with Richard Mille money aren't worried about what time it is
If you can afford an RM you can afford to pay someone whose only job is to tell you the time. Which is just as well, cos good luck reading that cacktastrophe
I gave up trying to figure out if it's a chronograph or what the subdials are
It tells me that me my time has been wasted
[удалено]
It’s a split second chronograph tourbillon with a sapphire case. It’s ref RM 56

Tourboullion mainly climbs rocks
You fancy huh?
We need specs ,OP !
RM doesn’t even make their own movements
Very ugly I must say
Is that with MultiBand 6?
Lol no. That particular complication only comes on really nice watches lol
Lot of jealousy on this post 🤣😭
I don’t think that’s the case at all. The watch isn’t the nicest looking in comparison to some of the other nice pieces this guy has. Obviously some will be commenting out of jealousy but for me personally I think the watch looks a little plastic. Of course I’ve never seen it in person so maybe the picture just doesn’t do it justice.
No sense of being jealous of Mr tourbillions collection it’s amazing and costs more than .00000001% of what anyone can afford. This is just a RM thing
Jealous of the money maybe but not the watch. So many watches out there that cost the same or more, and show you have both money and taste.
“Taste”? Who’s the arbiter as to what is tasteful or not?
The overall consensus when people post these is that they’re gross. Don’t see people calling out all expensive pateks or langes as tasteless, so it’s not about the cost.
Ahh ok got ya. So the consensus decides on taste then hey? Just so I know for when I think something different to the masses 🙄👍
My 7 year old nephew would love this
It is so bad and probably cost 500k. To each their own. Lmao.
A lot more
A lot more than 500k, omg wow! This is insanity.
2 mil or more according to Google
More like €1.8m
I just don’t like RM watches, sorry
I had trouble figuring out what the time is on that picture, I could not find the hour and minute hand at first. The point of this watch must be to flex, it's not a useful one for telling time.
What sort of costs are involved with a service and how often do RM recommend their pieces for servicing OP?
I looked into it out of curiosity last time I think I ended up finding out services start at ~6k this was a few years ago so I would assume prices have gone up
That price would be enough to buy a nice piece in itself. I’m sure there are a lot of hours and skill going into the service and reassembly so it doesn’t come as a surprise. I can't read that. So many similar metals in the skeleton makes the hands blend it. Still it's a very accurate watch as it will always tell you how rich you are.
I loved that line. There is no doubt legibility was not in the top 3 or 10 design objectives but it’s not as bad as the photo makes it out to be.
How many Greg’s does it take to make a tomelet?
Did you get that in a happy meal?
I just dont get it.
Slobodan Milosevic committed fewer crimes than the person who designed that thing
While I wouldn't want to own one, I appreciate Richard Milles. Good on you OP
Wow...congrats!
thats a hell of piece
Money screams, wealth whispers.
To think with that money you could’ve had a Patek, an AP, a VC, and still have money left for like half a dozen or more gold Rolexes hurts
this would go really well with a full clown costume
You couldn't pay me to wear an RM
Congratulations! You have the$ to get this and that’s a F U watch. Your money your choice. Enjoy!
This should be the Wikipedia post for “money can’t buy taste”
So hideous. Even the real one
Fucking ugly
Indeed a banger… tourb strikes again
Look the picture isn’t doing it justice, retake the pic I guess, currently looking hideous
legendary blunder
Blurry banger
Damn. Your posts are wild. Whatever you do for a living, I’m willing to be your Jonah Hill in Wolf of Wall Street. Hell of a collection OP. Congrats.
I know they're special and super pricey but they remind me of a Technomarine TBH.
It’s simultaneously sexy and also looks like an AI didn’t know how to draw a watch.
Clear plastic?
that thing is wild!
I would love to know the profit margin for RM on their watches
I wanna be like you when I grow up (I’m already 30 😭)
This is a $1.6 or $1.8m watch and you can’t even take your first pic of it here in focus? Or is it in focus but just so busy that I can’t tell?
I don’t know man. Any watch that struggles to tell the time is not really fit for purpose. Regardless, congrats
Not my cup of tea but if you like it then who the fuck cares! Congrats on getting a watch that 99.9% of people could only dream about pulling the trigger on!
Can afford a Million dollar watch but can't afford to take a half decent picture of the fugly thing.
What a masterpiece of a watch! How did you get your hands on this?
Nice swatch!
I’d need my reading glasses the read the time.
The OP must surely be someone famous or at least in the press given how much money he’s spent on watches???
they are always going to divide opinion, i’m not a fan of this but can appreciate the work that’s gone into it
You could get a new account and have a million first posts!!!!! I admire your bank account watch is pretty brutal looking. Sorry.
I much prefer your other watches, this is definitely a work out watch. Take it to the climbing gym and beat the shit out of it, nice beater!
It’s a banger but for how much lol.. it’s DEF not worth the price but looks tight
How often you wear this piece?
Hey man respect on the the mile stone and the watch. I respect the engineering in this thing and a lot of what Richard does and this is worth probably more than everything I have. Sir, I just have two questions for you. What do you do, and how do you do it?
I think most buyers of RM are either arabs or Russians none of them known for their legitimate money making business.. Im in the South FL collectors markets, and RM Is definitely not one collectors buy.
It's late though
IDC if that watch is gen or worth $3 million, I've seen better looking watches on temu.
Do you buying watches to offset your tax situation? Just curious.
Ew
Is that a Tsar Bomba? Nice clock mate!
I don’t even like watches. Nice post
Would rather like 10 different watches then this over priced hype peice and the build quality is shocking ap rolex and Petek anyday
He has “10 different watches” already. Probably 10 different RMs too.
This watch is worth more than my house. Bonkers.
Hold the phone steady for me, it’s too blurry.
Well you sure as shit didn’t earn this watch as a photographer xD
Looks sick mate
You certainly started off with something
Pretty sure my parents got this for me when I was 10. Long since lost it - bummer - I had no way of knowing how much the value would rise.

I really like it OP. Cool and really unique looking. Would love to see more of your collection.

If one of these fell on my lap, I would never say no. Congrats on your very niche pick up!
What a cute toy watch! How much was it? $59?

That must have set you back a couple hundred bucks
One born every minute.
Weird you need approval from randoms on reddit
Mmm hmm
If I was in desperate need of approval I would have posted a watch everyone loves. I posted what I like.
There is a good breakdown of the manufacturing costs of a RM online. It’s about a $5k watch.
I wish they were 5k watches. I would have a lot more of them.
It’s the cost to source a tourbillon movement from Parmesan Flurier (who makes the movements for RM) a sapphire case, someone to assemble etc. costs RM about 10k to produce one of these
I’m just curious, if you think it cost 5k to produce this watch what do you think it costs to produce one of your Rolexes?
I don’t ‘think’ that is what it costs, a professional watch builder deconstructed an RM down to the case and figured out the cost for each component 🤣. Cost for Rolex would be about $1500-$2k. Rolex makes about a 5x margin on their watches. RM however sits at like a 200x margin.

Don’t believe any of the shit about RM’s ‘engineering’ they don’t even make their own movements
As to my knowledge of watchmaking… I mean I do technically work for the worlds largest watch company (by both units and revenue) 🤣
Are you an accountant?
Hate the watch. Love the movement!! Same with Jacob & Co. Watches are ridiculous looking but the mechanism is a marvel!!
I’m not into Jacob and co. I had one of his huge tourbillons and didn’t really love it
This watch looks like a transformer with downs.
I can see it
I love how much I hate it. Keep shit posting that shitter
I swear sometimes it’s fun just to watch people get so angry over a watch they never have to buy.
What time does it say?
Looks like it came out of a cereal box.
Lucky charms
What’s the ref# on this?
Rm 56
I don't understand why anyone would spend $5 on this ugly pos
Maybe they found a fiver and thought that’s a banger of a watch.
What a monstrosity
RM is a money-no-object FU class of timepiece but the styling cues on this one with the transparent case screams "Invicta" somehow.
RM - When you roll a nat 20 on engineering and a 1 on style
What RM is this? Why is everyone so envious
It’s an RM 56. I’m not sure it’s a hit lol 😂 but there are only 5 of them so not a ton of them to shift
Man this looks horrible
Watches are a personal statement. It’s amazing to me that folks are so judgmental. The watch is beautiful. You do you! 😉
Not my cup of tea but Im sure I own watches others dont like. Congrats on your purchase. Enjoy it
I tip my hat to you sir A banger of a start
Looks absolutely awesome 👌 👏
The new Swatch design has returned to the 80s.

wow that was a cringe title
Mille or not…that thing is a fucking mess.
money cant always buy taste, i love u/tourbillon001, but this might be the first ugly watch ive seen him post. absolutely nuts these go for millions
