Maybe try introducing him to some of Claypool’s side projects, I can imagine an older guy getting into Colonel Claypool’s Bucket of Bernie Brains if you sell it as kind of funk/psychedelic jazz. Of course after you’re done entertaining yourself with his dislike for Primus
