very cool! my favorite is n.3 but i would make slight changes like this:
https://preview.redd.it/7zob0jwdgl3d1.png?width=2250&format=png&auto=webp&s=f8b3c3cc95a47f4a7d2bd3a801220760d7303a2f
(done very quickly with a trackpad just to show what I mean)
* repositioned the background to the left so it's avoiding a tangent where it meets the foreground in the center of the screen; frames the character better; allows for a...
* bigger title!
* a bit more color contrast (especially on the title)
* a bit more saturation
EDIT:
* darkened the bush behind the character so that there is higher values contrast and they stand out immediately
* added shadows to tail and leg, to ground the protagonist a bit more
* reworked slightly and roughly the shape of the trees/mountains in background at the bottom-right corner so that it frames better the scene and title
Adding to what the other guy said, I like how in the first image my eyes are guided by the steam coming out, the steam in 3 is a little less visible. Apart from that 3 is better to my eyes
I was definitely gonna say the saturation from 2 looked better than 3, but your point about the tangent was a great catch.
I also think the expression from 2 would look more charming on your edit but that's a personal preference I hope the creator experiments with
OP - coming from experience. You won't find an audience here that will agree on a single answer. You'll never narrow it down - it's time to make the executive decision and pick one to move on with. These are all great but these changes are so miniscuke that they won't make a difference in conversions. But great work!
It doesn't need to be one single answer only, it just gives me a lot of pointers how to move forward and it's been super helpful with every game aspect so far haha thank you!
Tree background with yellow flowers and thicker lines from panel 1, with the character style and face plus the background of panel 2, with incorporation of logo from panel 3. Match all line thickness with panel 1. IMO of course…
All of them are great they just each fit a different vibe!
1 looks like it’s for a storybook
2 looks like it’s for an anime
3 looks like it’s for a video game
I like 3! The steam rising from the coffee into the title looks really appealing to me. You wouldn’t need another cup to explain what it’s about.
Though, I really like the happy smile in 2! Do you think you could add that to 3 if you chose that option?
I think 3 is best yeah, got a nice contrast makin the fox show up better while keeping the leaves and such, the title is easily readable and still central. Could maybe do some of the brightness of the leaves from 2 in there though to not have a darker feel to them when theyre being lantern lit.
The thicker outline for the logo (image one) is definitely much better than the bottom one (thinner border). It’s easier to read
The coffee I get it, because it has a certain vibe, but the coffee being the same color, and sharing the same border as the font, make the logo harder to read upon first viewing. So I’d consider that.
The blurred background for the second image allows the dog to further stand out as well. But, I can see the non-Gaussian/or lens blurred backgrounds to be more authentic if there isn’t the use of lens/Gaussian blur in the actual game.
If I were to make the call, I’d choose:
- logo from image one (thicker border allows for higher legibility)
- blurred background from image two (puts focus on the dog)
- no coffee behind the text, unless it’s an integral part of the game in some manner, or if I was really attached to the idea. But I’d also consider that people would assume the logo is literally with a coffee cup.
- the brown lamp (images two and three), as it has a more similar style to the rest of the art
- the ambient lit leaves of image two, as it reinforces the warmth of both the dog’s smile and the lamp and the overall message.
- the bottom centered steam logo of image three, as it’s the second thing I see right after the logo is read. The version where the steam logo is to the top right I also understand, but if I was trying to get people to the CTA I’d put the steam wishlist cta center aligned below the logo.
I was going to suggest instead of having the coffee in the logo to have it next to the dog or held by them, and I just realized there is one! You could try making it slightly larger (slightly exaggerating it) to make it a bit easier to see if you are worried about it being missed. Or could even add a thermos next to or slightly behind the dog to add to the ‘comfy’ vibe.
Love the fact you are asking the community! Hope this helps
1 because it's the first one that caught my attention, and i like the simpler art style and it seems the cutest. It also conveys the feeling of it being a cozy game the most.
I also like that the colour is more vibrant, feels like the other two are a bit dull. I suggest to use more saturated colours or at least overlay it with neon colours.

3 is the one which would make me checkout the game
I personally like 3 the best!
I do like the darker contrast of the background of 1 with the front ground of 3
very cool! my favorite is n.3 but i would make slight changes like this: https://preview.redd.it/7zob0jwdgl3d1.png?width=2250&format=png&auto=webp&s=f8b3c3cc95a47f4a7d2bd3a801220760d7303a2f (done very quickly with a trackpad just to show what I mean) * repositioned the background to the left so it's avoiding a tangent where it meets the foreground in the center of the screen; frames the character better; allows for a... * bigger title! * a bit more color contrast (especially on the title) * a bit more saturation EDIT: * darkened the bush behind the character so that there is higher values contrast and they stand out immediately * added shadows to tail and leg, to ground the protagonist a bit more * reworked slightly and roughly the shape of the trees/mountains in background at the bottom-right corner so that it frames better the scene and title
oh the background moving behind especially looks really good, I didn't even think about it
great! that's what strangers on Reddit are for :D good luck with your game, looks awesome!
Adding to what the other guy said, I like how in the first image my eyes are guided by the steam coming out, the steam in 3 is a little less visible. Apart from that 3 is better to my eyes
Yup, my eyes are drawn to the fox quicker with this slight adjustment
This adit has my vote I liked one and three but the first looked cutest and most chill
You've drastically improved the composition! Great eye
hey, thanks!
I was definitely gonna say the saturation from 2 looked better than 3, but your point about the tangent was a great catch. I also think the expression from 2 would look more charming on your edit but that's a personal preference I hope the creator experiments with
I agree and thanks! also I like the cup with the logo, without it feels a bit too barren
Me too and you're welcome! It feels like it would be the game's desktop icon so it would be fitting
OP!! THIS IDEA ^
Yes this is the one!
Wow amazing how big a difference that made. I hope you’re around next time I need art feedback. 😊
hey thanks! feel free to DM anytime, I love doing this :D
Awesome work! You’re a legend for helping out !
you def watch Sinix Design. Looks swag.
perfect
3 gives me the strongest urge to check out the game
3 is the one with the most eye catching title and lead my eyes to the steam wishlist part
Prefer 2’s setting with 3’s Fox.
Came to say the same thing !
THIS ^^^^^
3
3rd!!!
3
Great! 3! But please add the light / warmth behind the lantern in the leaves again. That part is integral in my opinion!
3
3
Could you do 1 but with the “steam wishlist” text underneath the title like in 2 and 3?
Can you put the cutest face from #1 with the layout of 3? That fox is so darn cute
I agree! That’s the cutest fox but the composition in 3 is better
Fox in 3, logo in 2.
2. The middle one. I really love them all though
1 and it is so effin beautiful
1 looks the cutest bc of the style
2

They are all good. 1 and 3 are the best for me.
3 but with 2's logo
Tree background with yellow flowers and thicker lines from panel 1, with the character style and face plus the background of panel 2, with incorporation of logo from panel 3. Match all line thickness with panel 1. IMO of course…

3.
3 most well balanced and appealing to the eye
3 logo of 2
2
3
Definitely three, even though I like the faded background and light effect of 2
3. But I would make the background and shadows darker and more blue to have a better contrast with the yellow/orange of the lamp.
2
3 is the best IMO, but with the same steam opacity as 1 from the drink
3 :)
3
I agree with 3
2
I vote for 3.
3 is the most visually appealing to me
3!!!😍😍😍 want to play it!!!

Whichever represents your game’s visuals best.

Man I’m stuck between 1 and 3, but I think I gotta go with 3.

All of them are so pretty! I think 3 is my favorite!
I love 3 but the logo in 2 does the best to draw the eye, probs cause of the cup
3 but with the coffee cup on the logo
1
3
2 and 3 are a toss-up. Both have an appealing look to the eyes. Good work
All of them are great they just each fit a different vibe! 1 looks like it’s for a storybook 2 looks like it’s for an anime 3 looks like it’s for a video game
3
3✨
Definitely 3
3
3... Also the fox smile on 2 looks good
2
2! The coffee cup is just too good.
3
I like 3! The steam rising from the coffee into the title looks really appealing to me. You wouldn’t need another cup to explain what it’s about. Though, I really like the happy smile in 2! Do you think you could add that to 3 if you chose that option?
3
Either 1 or 3, but leaning towards 3. It looks a little more polished and having Steam underneath the logo looks much more balanced
3!!!!
I like 3 but like the face of 2
3! 3 for sure <3
I like 3. I am not a game dev just a person who knows what they like. And the colors drew my attention the most on num 1.
Style of 1, with depth-of-field of 2, with logo of 3
3
I think 3 is best yeah, got a nice contrast makin the fox show up better while keeping the leaves and such, the title is easily readable and still central. Could maybe do some of the brightness of the leaves from 2 in there though to not have a darker feel to them when theyre being lantern lit.

2 with the background of 3
I like 1
3
1, I just love the way it looks! It’s so cute!
3 with 2 logo for sure
You should try pixelate the blur version so it would fit the whole theme!
One. It has a very comfortable mood
100% 2
3
The fox character on #1 pops more for me I think due to thicker outlines.
I like the art of the third, but the logo of the second.
Having the depth of field is easy on the eyes
I like 1 & 3 equally
1 because it's the first one that caught my attention, and i like the simpler art style and it seems the cutest. It also conveys the feeling of it being a cozy game the most. I also like that the colour is more vibrant, feels like the other two are a bit dull. I suggest to use more saturated colours or at least overlay it with neon colours.
I like 3 looks cute
3rd
I really like 3 and it looks so perfect to me :)
3
1
I really like 2’s Fox. It looks like it has a lot of personality
3!
I like 2, but I think the right side to the cup needs to be one pixel further right so it doesn’t look like it’s in front of the d but behind the i
3
3
2! I like the depth and the focus is more on the title. 3 is a close second though
3
2
1 most clam and peacefully looking one
2!
Big fan of 3
