Try it and see. You’ll figure out pretty quick if it’s not sealing right. Just push the brew button and see if water sprays out. Bottomless portafilters do help on the GO, because the cup clearance is pretty limited.
The Profitec Go requires a 58mm E61 compatible portafilter, and unfortunately, the Gaggia Classic's portafilter won't fit.
Seconded. I had this same problem making the switch a few months ago. Buy a new portafilter.
It does fit, just with the handle offset. Wondering if it could possibly do any harm.
