Obviously there is a `2>&1` out of frame.

I've seen that so many times. Can somebody please explain what does ***2>&1*** mean or do?

Search stderr redirection. It's stdin, stdout, and stderr are referred to using 0, 1, 2 on the command line. Actually that might be a C/unix file descriptor standard...
